GREAT NEWS! Brand new series of Horrible Histories starts on CBBC on 31st May 2010!! ...Another song from the fantastic CBBC sketch show HORRIBLE HISTORIES: The entire Tudor era in one little ditty...
I mean after Edward was born Henry actually spent a bit of time with his daughters because he had the son he wanted! I know that was a joke I’m just a nerd who just learned that and find it quite interesting
Your right! Royalty rarely saw their children at all and when they did it was to see them off before giving their hand in marriage to another country. Very sad. I would not want to be royal.
Technically, after Edward VI came Queen Jane (The Nine Day Queen). Lady Jane Grey was Queen only for nine days before Mary I claimed her throne. Lady Jane Grey was then executed at age 16 for treason.
@@lydialou3616 It's a force of habit. I watch alot of musicals and it eventually became a habit for me to finish any lyric I come across if I know the song 😂😂
Elizabeth had a fierce temper, but then so did both of her parents! In fact , Anne Boleyn's habit of speaking her mind is what attracted Henry to her in the first place!
It has long amused me that Henry VIII was so intent on having a son that he overlooked Elizabeth, yet her reign not only surpassed his own, it was known as the Elizabethan Age. (BTW, in one of MaryJanice Davidson's novels about Betsy, Queen of the Vampires, Betsy visits Hell. One of the sights she sees there is Anne Boleyn overseeing Henry VIII getting HIS head chopped off over and over again. YES!)
@@LocseryuOfficial . I mean the one in horrible histories as he is funny not the one in real life silly and I love how you are replying to me 1 year later.
@@Quirky_Ventriloquist Ben played him well. This was his best role in the entire series.2nd was Alexander the Great All the actors had their best role though the series. Jim Howick's is George IV and Martha's is Queen Elizabeth. Simon's was Death. Matthew Baynton for me was Charles II. Still watching the show for the other actors best roles in my option.
“We may not have been fair, but we were NEVER DULL!” - now that was EPIC! The Tudors had been a lot of things indeed, but the one thing that they most definitely HAD NOT BEEN was DULL, which is part of why their stories are told over and over and over and over again. 😂
I picture all the wives giving Henry the finger hahahaha Henry, yeah, I'm through Too many times it's been told And I have had enough Love stories to get old And you might think it's tough But I've got to let your love run cold We're taking back control You need to know ... *I don't need your love*
@@nikkisumesh Well, I guess I am haha AND I'm from Brazil (I'm not sure if it make any difference, but here it is haha) Really like it, love it, the songs are great!
My dad :...i like this line Me: which one? My dad: "a girl , not again" Me: THTS MY SISTER YOUR TALKING ABOUT My baby sis:..... * doesnt know whats going on *
You are correct to a certain extent. When Elizabeth died without an heir it would go to her closest Tudor cousin. In her case it went to her cousin, King James VI of Scotland, son of Mary, Queen of Scots, who was the granddaughter of Margaret Tudor, oldest daughter of Henry VII and sister of Henry VIII, who had married King James IV of Scotland. And then there were the Grey sisters, descended from Mary Tudor, younger sister of Henry VIII. Jane Grey had been beheaded but she had two sisters.
Admittedly have never met the man and know of him only through myth and rumor, but doesn't nigh everyone dislike him, as he goes out of his way to insult anyone he meets under the guise of judging many a contest?
Who knows Simon Cowell? Not me! I like horrible history songs. Elizabeth: Everyone said Henry the 8 is a baddy. I have to agree even though he is my daddy. Henry:Just popping out to chop some wives. Henry’s wives:Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves ,Cathrine Howard and Cathrine Parr.
@@WERTYUIO821 true, the rhyme is more like a reflection of the fate of the marriages and how they ended. AoC lived to see Mary be crowned as queen. Still a good way to remember it all.
Someone might've mentioned it in this comment section but this song is an homage to the British band Madness, known for songs like Our House and Baggy Trousers.
@@annabelleantoinette7771 OK, 1: I only just saw it two weeks ago, and no one had corrected you yet. 2: _Your_ first reply was to a _nine year old_ comment only seven months ago, which, as I said, needed correcting, so...
Henry sees girl down the street: *I think she’ll BEHEADING my way* Yes this is not mine I can’t remember the name but it was from the Henry VIII video :)
