Horrible Realities of a Khorne Berzerker in Warhammer 40K 

TL:DR version: When not in combat, Khorne berzerkers are bombarded with thoughts of GW's business decisions.

Thought that what happens with khorne berserkers is that when they're not in combat, they suffer immense guilt and regret and only the distraction of combat can bring them some level of peace. Of course everytime they stop fighting, they feel even worse than when they started

5:18 totally and utterly false. Sadistic pleasure in causing suffering empowers Slaanesh, which is in direct opposition to Khorne. Followers of Khorne also display martial honour and do not kill those that are no match for them.

This blew my mind! This watch through I noticed something. The Berserkers "Lusted for battle" "Desired Blood" "Compulsively collected Skulls" "Satisfied thier anger". These are all verbs I would associate with Slaanesh. That numbness when not killing is exactly like Noise Marines. As bitter enemies, there is some great symmetry. And the Slaaneshi enjoy pain, leaving victims alive and bleeding, and crave battle above all in sensations. And Tzeetch/Nurgle has it too! Both have mutation. Thier Marines don't feel great pain, and offer immortality through death (dust or disease), and are massively deformed through mutation/disease! I'm sure there are better examples, and has probably been noticed many times before, but this is one of those great details in the Lore that I absolutely love. Great Vid Gursh, no matter how many times I watch it.

Truthfully, the Emperor betrayed Angron by taking away from him the greatest battle of his homeworld, along with his battle brothers. If the Emperor had stayed with him, and fought, Angron would not have gone to chaos so easily as the only thing Angron respects is martial prowess, even in the face of certain death.

I was raising a brow as you said angron forced his legion to implant the butchers nails. He didnt do that. It was his legion who implanted them themselves as to show connection to their "father" who didnt want anything to do with his sons. Trying to seek his appreciation in them.

This alone would be an incredible premise for a game, watching your chapter go through these changes and having to battle with them and because of the politics; you're left without reinforcements on an isolated planet. Maybe every battle or wrong decision brings you closer to chaos so you have to choose wisely. Yeah, that would be nice..

World eaters are my 2nd favorite loyalist (when they were loyalists) and #1 traitors. I just hope GW plans to make some new models of them soon, cause I bought a set of them and the models don’t look great

I still love the KB models. They were my first chaos squad back in 2001. I dont use them so much but I have special love for them. By the way thank you for getting me back into warhammer 40k I’m currently working on a blood angels army (though I’m considering switching to space wolves), an Eldar army and either a Adeptus mechanicus army or a tyranid army. I'm pretty sure chapters don't kill their battle brothers if there beyond salvation. They just get turned into mindless servitors.

I wonder why GW didn't push that line of design for the Khornates in 40K after the Dark Vengeance set... I guess they can always get back to it if they go with their own codex for the World Eaters. In the meantime, that AoS set is 100% 40K usable with minimum kitbash work. A really good choice for conversions.

Love the Berserkers, Khorne has always been my favorite

See this is the confusing part about Khornate berserker lore. Khorne is supposed to represent above all else martial pride. Hence killing the weak and innocent reflects poorly on a berserker because he should be seeking the most worthy enemies on a given battlefield. The suffering of their enemies actually serves Slaanesh. I know there are some rituals or concepts within the culture to kill lesser beings for the cruelty sake but it’s not supposed to be the norm. And as a side note I think it should be the base aspect of their character because in the novels that’s the redeeming quality that makes you identify with khornate characters. It’s also why chaos books are a lot more popular. Character arcs

What is commonly neglected is Khorne is also about honourable combat. You may have considered mentkoning that. So butchering children is actually not an act that is encouraged by Khorne, bevause where is the challenge in slaughtering people who pose no challenge? But I understand this is commonly neglected in wh40 books. Just look what they turned Kharn into (or Kroeger, although the latter got killed of late)

Facts about Angron are sketchy at best. Sources say that Angron did not care about his Legion and never wished for them to have the Butcher's Nails, for his superhuman biology made him understand far too well what they were doing to him and was able to dampen the power of the Nails themselves enough to allow him coherent, calm thinking. It was the legion's upper echelons that started the grafting of the Nails in the whole Legion, in hopes of being worthy in their Progenitor's eyes.

My first Chaos army were Khorn Berserkers. That was back in ,,geez,,second or third edition,,I think back in 2000. I think I still have all but a few that were either too damaged or just disappeared over many moves over the years..

Great video mate. Turning aos blood warriors into khorne berzerkers is actualy very doable. I just added a bolt pistol/chainsword, backpack and then put some greentsuff around the feet so simulate power armour and Im happy with them.

Angry Marines still bodied these berserkers, blind rage is dangerous but can be countered. But a rage that is focused is stronger and even more dangerous, almost to where it can do anything. The Angry Marines have rage that is focused, THEY ARE ANGRY FOR DA EMPRAH!!!

Not sure if I find Khorne or Slaanesh worst for the space marines who falls to chaos.

Khorne Berserkers, don't mind if I do. My favorite of the Chaos Space Marines, been building an army centered mostly around Khorne everything, if this is still up I'd be happy if I got it.
