Thanks for the playthrough of this iteration of the Horrified series, Colin! I own the original game, which I very much enjoy, and have been curious about this one.
This played similar to my favourite 3 part documentary series, part 1 built up the story, part 2 takes the ring (investigators) south, and part 3 was the Return of the King (Cthulhu). Beautiful play through as always!
This video is great! Got the game for my birthday and we played for the first time last night. We actually thought the Sphinx's setup meant put an item on its starting space on the map, so this video was helpful in seeing where we mixed up!
Picked this up from target over the weekend and yea it is a fun game . I passed on Greek monsters because the theme didn’t do anything from me , but I am glad to dive back into horrified again.
I love the first Horrified. I recently picked up the Greek one, but the rules seemed a little more muddled so I wasn't sure how to kick off and never started, but this one sounds interesting.
Yeah I do feel like with the additional complexities some of the monsters needed more clarity in the Greek Monsters. But once you grok how they work it is a great addition! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I don't think the buccaneer spends an action to do his special because get rid of 1 item to have 6 actions or otherwise only have 3 actions sort of sucks compared to the guy that just ALWAYS have 5 actions AND a free ability.
I hear you on that but the abilities that started they do not take an action day it in the discussion actin section. So I think I did that right.... however this is one of the issues with these games is the ambiguity of some of the rules!!
@@MeetMeAtTheTable I would just pick someone else if that's accurate then as the 3 action characters normally have a really good ability (like teleport literally anywhere you want)
Do you have a playthrough for the Greek version as well? Maybe it would inspire me to actually play the damn thing lol. I'm going to pick this one up for sure I love Cthulhu stuff.
We played this last night and your video was so helpful with questions. I do have a question about lairs though, the lair with what looks like a fanged mouth, is that for someone? Is it just a diversion?
