3:26 I love how there's a hidden backstory in the drain punch image, since Froslass is a ghost type there must have been some Foresight shenanigans going on too
The interesting part about Tepig's line being made into cooked pig in the pokefood drawings is, there's no need, because we already have a pig pokemon named after a cooked pig. There's a Filipino dish called Lechon, which is whole roasted pig. Add one single letter and you get Lechonk!
10:08: Craig is the name of a Croagunk that appeared in the anime episode "Cream Of The Croagunk Crop". It took me a second to remember that, but then it hit me.
12:10 Actually, in the Japanese original Season 1, there was a _different_ gag with characters referring to the existence of Minnesota. One time when Team Rocket are dressed up as rural farmers, in the original Japanese the costumes and their line are a reference to a Japanese song called Minnesota Eggsellers about a farm girl selling eggs from a basket. So in the anime at least, Minnesota is a real place in both the USA and Japan continuities.
6:48 we're getting close to Team Snack Attack... ok, for a bit of context, team snack attack is another evil chef Mikey alter ego that mostly uses food pokemon, or pokemon that can be used to cook food. whoever made these is amazing
@@AnnieC.1993 yeah, he might be the most powerful starter pokemon if we're not talking doubles (Incineroar exists) A decently powerful signature move that buffs special attack with every usage and also activates throat spray Unaware, possibly one of the best abilities in competitive pokemon and of course, the stats to use both of these things. Honestly even if we don't factor in the Protean nerf, I feel like Skeledirge is even stronger than Greninja was at its prime, and that's saying something, because i love the frog, too
for clarification's sake, the Karen quote is actually something i like, but should not be used in competitive, obviously. in Single-player, though, you can absolutely get away with using almost any pokemon that you personally like, and Pokemon never really focused as much on competitive as they did an actual single-player playthrough. Unless you're using an Unown, i think the quote's perfectly valid from that perspective, i'm just making fun of the meme putting *Skeledirge* in that column
2:10 well we know for a fact a few characters are separate such as Grunty Boi who commonly interacts with Michael and other characters. We also see Team Sky’s Leader in a separate location than Michael in his recent incredibly hard challenge video, naturally this would extend to Team Night Sky’s leader On the other hand we actively see Michael transform into Milkman Mike after a small existential crisis realising he’s ‘been playing a character this whole time’. This proves that some characters are actually played by Michael but we don’t know for certain which ones unless we see them separate or talking to OG Michael. This includes Dr Fuse, Orange & several type specialists. I theorise that after Grunty Boi arrived Michael saw success with having ‘different hims’ and hired Sky Mikey to record a video in exchange for giving a platform for Team Sky to spread its notoriety. However it wouldn’t be feasible to do this for every video so for other challenges he’d play a character. The similar appearance Mikey & Grunty Boi have is either coincidence or so that we can only know the difference between Michaels characters if we see them by themselves. TL:DR - Grunty Boi, Team Sky Mikey & by extension Night Sky Mikey are separate people, Milkman Mike is a confirmed character Michael plays and the rest fall in either category but we won’t know until they are seen separate from Michael or we see Michael change into them
I would assume that the type specialists are characters that he plays, because they are nonrecurring, are just labeled as the ___ gym leader, and do not seem to follow a specific code. The exception to this is Magic Mike, because he acts specifically different, has a separate name, and is not recognized by Grunty Boi (as far as I remember). Milkman Mike, however yes has a different name, his personality is the same, except for one small difference, that being that he likes Miltank. Following suit, Orange seems more like a separate person, due to again, the significant personality shift, the change of name, this time far more completely, and is again, not recognized.
every now and then, michael goes through some time space shenanigans, like going back in time for legends arceus. i would imagine these events occasionally cause personas to be forcibly separated into their own beings due to paradoxes or something.
Yeah, much better than the games conclusion in which, depending on the version of events, Lillie and Gladion either never know (Su/Mo) or Lusamine and Gladion know but Lillie doesn’t (US/UM). (In the Ultra Games there’s a post-game cutscene where Lusamine interacts with Mohn and Gladion witnesses the event. Lusamine acknowledges Mohn’s identity privately, but also says “He’s happy, and I don’t want to disrupt that.”)
8:47 There’s actually more to that Ditto than most people realize. In the Adventures manga, Green uses a Ditto as a mask, and basically becomes a master of disguise. So she’s doing the same thing to stalk Team Sky Mikey, but is using Orange’s Ditto.
@@davidphilpott2487 Yeah, for sure. I love Orange. I just think it's funny that not a single post in the ASPITPIAY besides one person's comics was talking about Orange yet his love still got acknowledged lol
17:04 I was thinking maybe you can make Team Pixie Dust the next villain for Team Sky after he permanently defeats Team Nightsky, but I can’t think of a good motivation as to why Team Pixie Dust would be villains for Team Sky
I think I solved the lore on the Mikey variants. Each one is a version of Mikey from a different universe. This was confirmed for DR Fuse in the Fusion episode of Team Sky.
I could see Pidgeot being able to use fairy wind by flapping its wings. I mean if it can learn the move twister which is dragon type then fairy wind shouldn't be an issue.
Hi Mikey, I just wanted to say thank you for bringing a bit of joy during my covid boredom. I found this channel my freshman year and now I'm graduating. Thanks for the laughs and funny clips
3:47 i think its to do with their personalities: piers is just a chill dude who wants to cheer on his sister meanwhile opal is eccentric, to put it nicely
@@chrisd1982 earthquake hits all targets on the battlefield. just have ground types fire off one by one, even if some lions survive you still have every single flying type/levitate pokemon left to deal with them, since they were immune to the earthquakes.
@@DarthZ01 im aware of this my point is that even a lesser move like rock slide which hits all enemies is gonna take out a lot, trying to point how much of a one sided battle it would be
18:54 It was a series of live action movies where Timmy is older but (and this is only in the first movie) he doesn’t act older, like he is still going to school (like whatever grade he was in during the series), still lives with his parents and all that. But then he gets reunited with Tooty and she’s grown up very beautiful and Timmy starts to fall in love with her but doing so could have him loose his fairy godparents. I think there’s 3 of these movies
2:49 I like that these regional flags either sport the colours of and/or take design elements from their resptective games. Kanto = Red, Blue/Green & Yellow. Johto = Gold, Silver & Crystal. Hoenn = Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald etc. The Alolan flag sports a sun and moon, and the Galar flag a sword and shield.
19:41 I'm about to spoil the _entire_ plot twist and ending of Fight Club, so if you don't want to know, do _not_ click "read more". So, Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) isn't real. He's an alternate personality of Edward Norton's character (who isn't actually named), who is revealed to basically be _super_ mentally ill, with both schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder. That's the joke. Grunty Boi is just Mikey's alter.
I don't why I even still remember this, but I vividly recall that Minnesota Vikings joke getting a solid undercurrent of chuckles in the theatre when I was a kid.
Took me a sec on the Poison/Fighting type meme, but I believe that Craig is most likely a trainer's Croagunk named Craig from the Sinnoh anime, one episode about an Croagunk festival, if memory serves me right.
@@Scorbunzx eh, on May the first, so ig it doesn't help as much lol Still, yeah I'm pretty sure these are like, from the earlier month than it's uploaded So this video is the April ASPITPIAY, not the May one, which is why my submission was at the very end
I remember watching the Mewtwo movie when I was little and I got so excited when they mentioned Minnesota because I lived there and “oh my god we were on TV!”
7:33 When he was talking about Mohn in SM, it made me think of some of the other sad/dark moments in the games. Like the guy that wanted to borrow a small pokemon in XY. Possible video idea for a poketuber if there isn't one already.
The fight club reference (spoilers) is Grunty Boi is alternative personality that Michael can communicate to as if he were a separate person, but really a figment of Michael's imagination. However, said alternative personality can take control of Michael's body and do things without Michael being aware (since it happens in Michael's subconscious)
Magic Mike: Stop saying I look like Timmy Turner! He's dumb and he's a coward and I am NOT a coward!! Someone please make that into a meme and submit it on the subreddit lol
0:50 One of my friends was 100% convinced that 1 of every Pokémon would lose to a billion lions. I was saying that each of the lions could be armed with modern military equipment and the Pokémon would still win. There is no contest if you know the first thing about Pokémon
I'm assuming the lions also had their intelligence boosted to use said equipment? Also now I want to know which Pokemon would be best at surviving a Nuke.
@@KereeaMuk and Deoxys are up there since their conception involved some sort of radiation. So at the very least they'd be resistant, if not outright immune, to a nuke. Not accounting for the force of the blast, that is
i saw a meme of Lapras using Perish Song against the lions with a modified speech from Lich from Adventure Time. Honestly i don't even think the pokemon would need legendaries.
When it comes down to the mikey meme about the "others (Team Sky boss, Grunti Boi, Dr. Fuse) i just say its multiple personality and they all have a moment in the spotlight
I concur with Volo being weak because it took me two tries to beat him and the first attempt I only had my under levelled starter at half HP and I still took out one of his mons.(I pick funny birb) Side note: I don’t understand why people think Cynthia is so difficult, it took me two tries in SP and I had an under levelled team and two mid evos.
There's a cutscene in US/UM that triggers after defending your title against Gladion. Mohn is at aether paradise and talks to lusamine for a bit, says its nice but that he doesn't remember coming here before. He leaves, then Gladion appears and asks Lusamine if she's fine leaving him like that, and she replies that Mohn looks happier this way.
I would love to see like a tournament style battle video where all your alter egos or whatever battle it out to see who is the rightful mascot, true form, best fighter etc. you get to see how they would all interact with each other, different rivalries forming or from the past, tons of lore bits!!! it would be a hard project but a masta piece for sure
2:20 The lore of the Mikey-es is like the Zelda timeline. We make up junk until the powers that be find the one configuration of information that nobody liked
Clearly Mikey created a special stable wormhole between alternate universes/dimensions using his engineering knowledge mixed with luck and a secret partner who Mastered Advanced Physics. Each different "character" is actually an alternate univese version of himself. Most go back to their universes after they appear here on this channel. However, certain individuals like Team Sky/Team Nightsky stick around longer same for Grunty Boi. 2:23
12:47 funny thing is, the girl in the meme wouldn't be too bad for TEAM SKY (she has wind powers, but her main power is that she's a literal miracle worker (as a Touhou fan I can confirm this))
The Dark/Fairy doggo meme regards the lore aspects to Fairies. Fairies are meant to be friendly, cute and stuff like that but in their LORE, they can be FUCKING DANGEROUS.
