That’s still dirt cheap even back then. Stables are expensive and a lot of owners depend on boarding even if they have other methods to keep costs down. (Lessons, training, breeding, etc). So it’s usually a very expensive cost, especially for full care. Some stables have you do all the work (obviously cheaper) and you provide the food and others are full care for you to just come in and ride. It really depends. Source: Never owned a horse, but rode weekly for a long time and my instructor explained the costs to me.

As an equine enthusiast, I can attest. As much as I enjoy working with the animals, the riding discipline seems to attract the most eccentric characters for whatever reason.
It seems to me like its the other way around. The lady is not holding the horse hostage....she's holding the owner accountable. The horse was injured and we are told that the owner owes the vet a past due bill of either $280 or $900 before she would see the horse. And according to the stable owner, the lady also owed her September's boarding fee for her horse, as well. So perhaps she was using the horse as leverage to ensure she got paid because she knows this lady has a history of running up bills and then not paying up. And its expensive to keep a horse.
If the horses get injured REGULARLY in her paddocks. The it is CLEAR her paddocks are not safe!! I have been around horses my whole life!! They do not injur themselves easily at all!! ESPECIALLY in a paddock!! She should not be boarding horses if she can't see that her paddocks are not safe and have them fixed!!

I've seen other RU-vid videos where they have ads in the middle of the video, not just at the start or end -- maybe they can use that technique too, and upload a video with an ad break in between ^ ^ I have adblock on, and didn't think about the advertising as the reason for doing it.
Yepp judy is still trying to make as much money as possible. She gets more veiws comments and likes by breaking up the videos. Really cracks down on copyright as well lol 😑
@@FireDragonAnime They know what they're doing. People are more likely to click off a video that has a lot of ad breaks. By splitting episodes up like this, they are making more money because you are going to end up watching more ads and not click away.
