Dr Lydia so accurately, honestly & compassionately explains the issues & rational for decisions made whether in treating the animals or choosing medical equipment. Thank you for your informative & straight forward approach. You & Dr Gina have made such a difference in the outcomes of the animals you rescue. All the Horse Plus team are exceptional in their respective roles. Very educational .
Gracias gracias por rescatar a esos animales inocentes..😢😢 cuando aprenderán algunas personas que los animales no son su propiedad y que deben respetarlos y cuidarlos😢😢
Prayers for Sapphire for complete healing she's only 2 years old and she's beautiful. I hope and pray she will be able to have a happy full life eventually.💕🐎🙏🌹
@@dianekruger5977... Yes. She's the one at the start of the Video that Dr Lydia is hosing her legs and checking the wounds. She's a Arabian and only 2! Hope she heals well and goes on to live a long healthy life where she's very much loved by her humans.
@@therealcoltstonewolfe if infection doesn't creep in, i doubt it will now, then proud healing is the fear, horses are incredible at healing, sometimes too good x they in easy words, can "over" heal? they can heal an injury "before" it heals, hope that's in easy terms
Reminds me of a horse I worked with that managed to burn both hind legs on a wire cable. At first it seemed like it was just superficial damage. First time bandaged were removed, we disovered that the skin and muscle was necrotic down to the bone. 15-18 inches of exposed bone on hind legs. Back then it was wonder dust/meat tenderizer, and multiple sessions of removing scar tissue. Horse survied and was rideable after all was said and done.
Hope your doing ok after that accident .I had some one rear end my car ,doing 55 in a 35 mph zone .and was injured as a result of that accident . Live with pain 24/ 7
Love your videos! You have GOT to be making a huge impact on the auction house's profits! Love it! I follow another rescue that HPHS mentored and they are making a big impact in their community as well! Thank you all for your compassionate care for these precious lives. ❤
Members get to watch daily vlogs and the donkeys showed up in them. For viewers who aren't members and who don't want to wait a whole week to find out what happens, I'll put spoilers below. Only read if you want to know before the next episode. Sadly, all the donkeys that came in this episode had to be given the last act of kindness because of the donkey lung disease. It was really sad to see how quickly they went down hill.
Thanks for this information. It's terribly sad😢. I love donkeys and It's so heartbreaking to have to give the Last act of kindness 💔 I hope they will find a vaccine to fight this disease 🙏🙏🙏
@@speedoo19Sadly the donkeys who die from this are already infected on the way to them. So vaccines for them aren't helpful. They do now think they are picking up flu from the horses but investigations are ongoing
So glad Saphire‘s outcome has improved! Quakers adopted - yay 🎉 It’s always so nice to see the horses after intake running free into the pasture. It’s so amazing to know they are safe now! Oh I remember Godiva! Glad she was brought back.
@@virginiawilkinson5038 I misunderstood, I thought you implied that the adoptor intended to eat the duck. May have been a knee jerk reaction from reading the comments on Wrinkle the Duck’s videos…. Someone always comes along and says they want to eat the pet duck which is like a child to the creator of the videos. Sorry I said eeeew.
How exciting with all the improvements and new technology and your TWO VETS. Plus an AMAZING SUPPORT STAFF. I’ve been watching for a few years and the number of animals helped at horse plus is terrific as it helps so many more each time you can afford more help better equipment. Three cheers to all of you. I hope this makes sense because you are all incredible. Love and prayers to all. ❤❤❤
What a machine, your team is just the best, I'm exhausted just watching it all go down, but thrilled at the same time, so many caring souls in this sea of crazy humanity...THANKS KIDS...!
The lady who adopted Quackers seemed genuinely sweet---it wonderful when there can be happy outcomes like that. Good Work, HPHS. So sorry about the Silver Truck getting bashed! boo.
Thank God for recuse beautiful horses 🐎 🙏 and donkeys 🫏 🙏 angel poor donkeys 🫏 good thinks is that beautiful horses 🐎 and donkeys 🫏 the donkeys 🫏 you all got is a good thing donkeys 🫏 know that you all angels care for them and putting too resting in peace angels You're not always gentle, but won't care. And that's what matters life's
Thankful Jason 's mishap was not more serious..please get checked out..injuries do not always immediately present as injuries..they may not show up for many weeks or months.. Also please tell Kimberly she is thought of and greatly missed..I hope that whatever is ailing her is soon resolved
I share as much as I can since I can't donate at this time but I also thank God that we have people like you who rescue these beautiful creatures that God created. For some of them that come in horrible condition they don't deserve that and you give them the love that they deserve even if you have to give them the last act of kindness they know in their last moments of life that they're loved. 💕🐎🙏
Can’t wait to be able to adopt from yall! My mare I rescued 3 years ago from Alabama gets to come home from her boarding facility because we finally got property of our own! She loves and needs a buddy which I don’t mind. This mare was in HORRIBLE condition when I brought her home, no life in her eyes but a major will to live! She had a really bad body condition score. Maybe like a 3… Had to put her on a refeed program, put close to 10k in vet bills to get her healthy and back under saddle. She is my baby and she needs a buddy! ❤
I think you are looking in the right channel. They not only match adopters’ needs with their available horses but they consider the needs of adopters’ current animals for the match. That’s one reason you see multiple adoptions by the same person/family. 🤍
@@annpalmer7470 oh I know lol I’ve followed this channel since almost day 1. We play them on repeat, we have simply just been waiting to close on property.
My favorite channel. Ive always wanted a horse. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see how many horses are thrown away like trash. They are so very special. All of them.❤❤❤
I hope that Kimberly is okay, I’ve not seen her in the past few videos. (Except the clips at the end asking for support) Thank you for another great episode!! The dedication everyone shows to all the beautiful souls is inspiring. Sorry to hear about the accident to your truck Jason. I’m glad you’re not injured.
Thank you for this video. Dr Lydia and Dr Gina are the best. The work soo good togheter and always so good to tell us what they do. This donkeysicknes scares me. I hope they come up whit some medecin that help.
@@karenneill9109yeah based on some of the older auctions vids they are almost always are littered with horse poop and pee and are always damp and dark. Add in unhealthy animals.....I just wonder why only donkeys?
That would make some sense regarding the difference from CA to the Southeastern states. I don’t think CA auctions are likely any cleaner but definitely a lot less damp & moldy.
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAY IT SOUNDS LIKE ME WHEN IM HAVING AND ASTHMA ATTACK! That is exactly what it feels like not only that you feel like not matter how hard, how fast or how deep you try to breathe in it feels like you cannot! I've passed out from it, I've had migraines from it, and worst of all sometimes the inhaler doesn't help.
As much as I admire all the work you do, I am distracted by the kitty crying in the background. Your dedication and love for the animals make your videos very calming and stress reducing for me.
That is so sad to see these Donkeys at the doorstep of a new life and then they are wiped out😢😢❤ I wonder if this Donkey illness is caused by fungus, maybe they are exposed to high count of mold spores and they get a kind like a highly allergic reaction…? If it never occurred in dry hot areas, maybe it’s neither a virus nor a bacterial problem…
Nice to see Sapphire is doing good, fingers crossed that she continues to do well 💜 Dr Lydia making friends by offering cookies haha. That chestnut was such a good boy even though he was sore in the spine (not surprising seeing the scarring) Oh hell Jason that's scary, I'm glad it was only the truck that got damaged!
Jason…T- Boning is a state sport here in Florida!! Total disregard for stop lights and stop signs!! A new law was just passed allowing cameras at intersections. Hope it helps.
You have so much work to do😢 It's wonderfull how you can save so many animals. I listen the great explanations from Dr Lydia, but I don't know if you have noticed, but a little kitty has something to say too😅 Courage from France 👍💝
When we're in the TX room talking about horse and then there Is a kitten having a fit being ignored it drives me crazy because I care for horse, cats, other equines, dogs are so low on my list but it looks like they are #2 with all those there.
❤❤❤ I'm only 7 mins into watching this & the kitty in the background has me rolling on the floor laughing my guts out 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅 Oh how I honestly WISH I could bring her or him home w/me. The li'l attention grabber really needs a home right now 🐱🐈 will some kind kitty lover PLZ bring her home tonight 😢😢❤❤
You guys are doing a great job with the horse and I'm do a great job with my and I love my 2horse that I have and you guys are doing a great with the horse that you have and find ing good home the horse Nanette
I went to the Toronto Zoo on Tuesday and it was raining very hard that I was glad that animal that Lydia looks after now are probably much happier there.
Is there any possibility that the humidity plays a part with the stress causing the lung disease in the donkeys. I do not know what the humidity is like in CA but I know it can be horrible in TN, NC, SC and Fla and since I have COPD I know when it is humid it feels like that humid moisture settles in my lungs and believe me, trying to get my breath sometimes is like drowning in fluid or water. Just wondering.
Another FABULOUS video, thank you! May I ask.... with Sapphire - is that a growth above her left eye? I also love to see the saved poppets get to trot/canter off in the 10 acre paddock! Wonderful to witness x
The "Accordion Lung Disease" on the donkeys...as I call it, seems to be very dangerous. Please look forward to a message from me about it. I only want to help. Hugs from Esquimalt
That horse that came in, with what doc called saddle soars. He has the spots on his butt. I think he is a sabino. They have those markings. I have two of them. Mine have socks with the markings. They get more as they age
