Congratulations karen, Lewis and of course the star of the day Gambler, he looks very well , very healthy you can tell he's been well looked after all winter, and he'll fly through the summer. Lewis bro you ride the n the warm up field was a pleasure to watch, soft hands, good seat, legs around the horse, and most importantly you were in sync. Wish you all, all the best. Till next time 👍💯
Thank you so much 😊 Lewis is such a good little rider but he just lacks the confidence in himself, fingers crossed we can get them in the show ring together very soon ☺️
Thanks for letting us be a part of Lewis' and Gambler's "adventure". So great to watch them - so sorry to see the cant in trot round unfortunately, just unlucky time with hunters in ring besides. Congrats for second place. 🎉🎉 I love your thoughts about confidence - that’s all about with living together as people and with our beloved horses. Warm greetings.❤❤❤
Gambler is such a good boy. Those rings so close together...😮 well done Lewis for riding Gambler at a show...you are doing brilliantly. GAMBLER looks amazing Karen. Such a handsome lovely boy...❤
Thank you so much 😊 Yes sadly at some shows the rings are so close, so when you get a horse being naughty in one ring it can upset the ring next door aswell 😢 ❤️
Wow what a cracking little rider Lewis is becoming. Looks lovely and relaxed. So pleased he is gaining confidence. I can resonate with Lewis because as much as i loved riding and in hand showing, an audience under saddle terrified me xx❤
Thank you ☺️ He is such a good little rider, He used to lack the confidence in the in hand not that long ago so I’m sure with time we will have him smashing it in the ridden ring aswell, xx
I feel you with supporting the local shows .... we have lost almost all of our local shows now. All the 'historic' ones are gone, the kind that have run for 40/50 years .... we have slim pickings these days which is so so sad. I used to love looking at the trophies from the older shows and reading all the horses names ... it's literally history in your hand. Such a privilege and such a shame we don't get to go to them any more.
Yes I remember the trophies 🏆 😭 I am very lucky to be in a very horsey area but we have lost 2 of the local shows to dwindling numbers, and the last 2 local shows are very quiet nowadays 😢 We try to take someone to each show to keep showing support as that’s where I started many years ago and we need to keep them going for the kids now coming through
Temporary quite often means forever 😂, know the feeling as I am going through a good declutter👍 Maccas for breakfast 🍳 - lovely. Gambler and Lewis look a good match 😊 Great video
Hahaha yes it does 😂😂 The shed is finally down now but the yard is in even more mess then it was….i really didn’t think it was possible 😭 Another skip has had to come so this weekend is all about having a massive declutter, we’ve got so much stuff down there that we no longer need or use 😮
Well done Lewis!!! You’re doing so well with your riding goals. Being someone who suffers from a lack of confidence I know only too well how big of a deal each step on the road to a goal is. Keep at it, you’ve got this!
That's such a great confides boost, taking the saddle for Lowe's to build up his confides .may be take it to your horse live ,depending on how Lowe's feels . Gamblers SUCH a good horse . Take care and all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍 may we have a yard tore when its done .
Thank you, Yes I think I’m going to take his saddle with us every time we go out now just so they can go for a walk around and help build his confidence, Gambler is really amazing and look after Lewis all the time Yes definitely can do a yard tour when it’s all done xx
Hi, New Subscriber here !!!!! never apologise for having a 'working yard' you are getting stuff done. I thought Gambler looked really good at this show, it all takes practice. Loved seeing Lewis riding him just take things slow it will come when you are both ready. Lots of love Jill, Birmingham England. XXXXXXXXX
Hello 👋🏻 Thank you so much for being here, I’m so pleased to hear that your enjoying the channel, Yes it will all come with time with these two, Thank you xxxxxx
Well done all! I can see they will just grow and grow confidence. It will take time but I have no doubts they will get there. Gambler is in absolutely amazing condition. What a credit to you all❤x
Thank you so much ❤️ Lewis was very much like this, lacking confidence with the in-hand to begin with, so I know he will smash the ridden side of it with time, xx
Well done Lewis for having the confidence to get on at a show and well done on your 2nd place too! Gambler is a cracking pony. I'm thinking of venturing into the world of welsh Ds (starting to accept that almost 30 maybe my little Welsh C is too small!), any tips!? Xx
Thank you so much, Gambler is amazing and does everything Lewis asks of him at his pace The D’s are amazing, same attitude as the C’s 😂 all I can say is find an allrounder and you will have lots of fun xx
Loved your part of your blog about baby steps and confidence. So lovely to read and hear it's taken me three years to get confident to riding in the ring at a show. Where is your welsh show?
Confidence is so hard to get but so easy to loose, so it’s all about the baby steps and feeling good on every step before moving on, We went to Chiltern WPCS show at West Wycombe x
Thank you I’m going to get on gambler a couple of times between now and the next show, then I will do the ridden with him to show Lewis that he will be ok in the ring so hopefully that will also boost his confidence
Typical cheeky welshie Gambler...😂😂 karen what size pink show hood does gamby wear. What do you use to bandage his legs to keep them clean before a show please? Xxxx
😂😂 yes he can be so cheeky at times, He has a show hood that is actually meant for a 16hh + horse 🤦♀️ he has such a chunky neck that anything else was always to tight on him, I use gamgee leg pads underneath fleece bandages on there legs over night to keep them clean xx
