I am so grateful to Steve and Tania for taking the time to video Steve’s work. What a privilege to be able to witness this with no cost. To anyone who moans about wind sound - remember what a privilege it is to be able to watch this level of expertise. Thank you Steve and Tania for taking the time out of your day to film, edit and upload.

Yes, I too find it frustrating to miss much of Steve's valuable teaching cuz of wind, others' voices, background noise etc. So now I mostly just watch w no volume on. After so many videos I can pretty much understand his ways! But I do really appreciate the amount of time and effort given by Steve and Tania.

What a lovely horse, someone is going to enjoy this sweetheart. I grew up on a farm in Canada, working with horses all my life (I’m 70 yrs) and I’ve learnt more in the last few months about horses while watching your videos than I did that whole time. I’m a huge fan now! Some of the ( cowboys) that I’ve seen work with horses should never be allowed near them. I’ve always believed in “ gentle “ handling but you’ve explained how the horses think and it makes so much more sense now! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, one is never to old to stop learning!

I agree with you, Mikki. It's a relief and joy to have lived long enough to see such enlightenment with horses, and from a man! I keep looking back and wishing I'd known about this. Now to make it the standard approach around the world ...

It’s so interesting to me to see these big strong intelligent animals, be so sensitive and afraid of every little thing. So rewarding to see Steve gain their trust and give them what they’re brain needs in order to relax and realize there’s no need to fear! I just love seeing the process. You are truly what these animals and their owners need to enjoy life together. 👍

So true! Slow, gentle, yet firm! Animals can sense your intentions. Each little step is communicating. It takes time and trust is the key to unlock their potential. Steve is such a joy to watch and learn from. Charlie is just a stunning horse with so much potential. He has a kind heart… albeit fearful. With the right trainers his future is very bright indeed! Thank you for another wonderful video.

For millions of years, it was the jumpy horse that got away from the predators. That’s why they’re like this. It can’t be ever taken completely out of them, because they’re a prey animal. Same thing with a bear or crocodile. They can be trained but never trusted.

You are so patient Steve, that you earned trust pretty quickly really. They both have a long way to go, but lucky to have you involved. Back when i still rode, I rode with someone who had a 17hh thoroughbred that was a retired track horse. They are definitely on another level. Never got on him, that's for sure. It is fascinating that you show some of what goes into training a horse. One (me) sees horses on tv, or in person, and they seem very well mannered. These videos show just how much is put into each horse that “is so well mannered”…..it is amazing just how much (and i know i don’t’ even really know) goes into a well behaved horse!!!!! And, I LOVE that you are so patient!!!!!

I work and own horses and I definitely think the horses can benefit from a lot of introductions to life in general they have established a nervous pattern because the gentleman removes as much stimuli as possible which doesn’t teach the horse anything and changing trainers all the time makes it harder for the horses to establish queuing which is paramount to their learning but changing to a higher level trainer is extremely beneficial. Wishing the best of luck to you all in the horses journey. 🤩

Really interesting and lots of learning about patience, fortitude, patience and how horses learn. I am a retired teacher of reading to children and adults with dyslexia. Most important was knowledge of all the small steps to learning to read was always patience. Breaking down the desired result to all the small steps whiach teachers call "task analysis". That is figuring out how to get the horse from where he is now to the long range goal. You are brilliant.
