I watch moments like this and all i can think about is how far video games have come since i was little. Going from playing duck hunt on NES to this is mind blowing
I grew up on ps1/ps2 and would always tell my lil sister that hopefully we will be playing characters that look like the cut scenes, now its even better. Truly mind blowing.
Imagine now thousands of these guys ,fully repaired and with an astronomical amount of mechanized infantry firing missiles at you. Enduring Victory seemed like a nightmare
But ONE little red-headed girl with primitive weapons could take'm down, widdling away the critical points on machines no matter the size. Charlie Brown would be proud. Deep down, I think Aloy's grin during this battle would match Speed of Sound Sonic's grin habit! This was an awesome battle. When this is on PC, there will probably be mods to add horus's all over the place at random in normal game as long as DLC is included in the port.
@@aaronglass921 The Horus in the Old World were in better condition and had its functions operating more rapidly I think, and they were A.i operated. I remember reading about how after the US military took down the first one by luring it into a military base and raining it down with their weaponry, the horde adapted and the following attempt to emulate said strategy failed.
Well, Horizon Zero hace biggest bosses but other wins, like god of war, Shadow of the colosus (well sometimes hace biggest bosses) but it's okay think that, Horizon Zero shows a visión for the machines AND humana
i had no idea such a fight was in the game, ive always loved the horizon series, i played through the story and finished it and now i come across this, time to go back and start a fresh :D
Yep, Is a DLC of Horizon Zero forbiden west, Is very good the game, shows a company va Zero Dawn, and a good sorry, complete that gane and can play the DLC, and there Is the boss I'm the video
No sure. They have the zenith base and its printing device that is far more efficient. Maybe they need to catch Hephaestus again for the blueprint and its creativity in machine design. And dont forget civilization that can be more advanced on the technicalogical point of view (Quens, Oseram maybe and probably others). I doubt that reawaking those machines programmed only for destruction and death would be a good idea personally ! Even if their firepower is incredible....
@@philippes.9571 I get the feeling that maybe the solution is not really defeating Nemesis... but much rather convincing it that the humans now alive on Earth are not the same that created Nemesis (and made its existence a living hell).
Good job man. That was an interesting way to take down the Horus. Shredder isn't my usual weapon of choice for this fight, but i guess you were looking for a challenge. This boss fight design is definitely next level. Even the background music gives me chills.
I’m stealing your trick of charging the shredder to max on the exterior limbs! I was initially confused why you were doing that but as soon as I put it together I was obsessed! How did I not think of that?! Thanks for the new trick! Also, amazing run through! That fight is tough and I haven’t done Ultra Hard 😭
This boss battle was so epic. I was really looking forward to it and it didn’t disappoint. I was kind of concerned as to y they didn’t put it on the PS4 but now I understand y. My PS4 wouldn’t have been able to handle all of the chaos going on. And even if they did do a version for it, this boss would have looked terrible. They would have to dumb it down so much just so the system could handle it. Then they would have whines about how bad it looked.
@@KingOfMadnesss Is it really sure ? Colossal bosses have been made before on PS4. And some costly-computing effects are not necessary for this fight. It would have been worth a try for people who own the PS4 and give their support to the franchise. I can understand the PS5 choice...but i have a bitter feeling in my guts in regards of player respect....
Nice job. This boss fight took a little while for me but the final one is taking forever. I had to pause it over the weekend. I haven't gone back. I'm waiting until I have time. Tbh, it's kind of a pain in the butt.
Any tips for NG + ultra hard? For some reason I find the combat in general much harder than Zero Dawn's, even with things like aiming. I want to do an NG+ ultra hard playthrough of Forbidden West and the DLC but I'm not too sure how to go about it
The combat is definitely harder than ZD's, took me a bit to get used to it, Machines move more, attack faster, alot of avoiding attacks seems to be based around slide then dodging. If your doing NG+ make sure to have all your legendary gear fully upgraded, my current personal favourite gear is the Quen Marine outfit from the DLC and shredders. I personally think Ancestors return (Shock shredders are always my go to) is the best weapon and I recommend getting used to shredders if you haven't already, the DLC merchant has some great weapon coils, and the legendary spike thrower with drill spikes will also be a good weapon for NG+ UH. Just make sure to keep Aloy moving during combat staying put too long can be deadly haha smoke bombs are your best friend, you can over fill your health to a certain limit 1200 I think with potions and silent strikes, valor wise ranged master, chain burst and oversheild are good ones to use. Also make sure you have got the 4 instant brittle coils available in game, 2 purple from Thornmarsh hunter, 1 legendary from arena and 1 elite from DLC stick all on the sun scourge and you won't have a problem Frosting anything.
@@Voldemort_836 Even the combo "plasma+explosive spike" is not so efficient ? I personnaly found that combo (that i used a lot) a little bit overpowered. Even the Apex SlaughterSpine was not that hard with that strategy (but i play in normal difficulty :) )
God damn it, I'm playing this game atm and I had no idea you fought one. I was using relic guides because I couldn't bothered with the puzzles and RU-vid algorithm has ruined it for me lol
I love the shredder! I noted you throwing against the legs to power it up for an explosive hit! The Iron Eater shredder was my favorite - I wish they had a good elemental Legendary shredder.
This fight was beyond incredible my only gripe is I wish it was more deadly across every difficulty. For as much of a threat these things are I would've loved for its attacks either one shot you or close to one-shot Aloy, out of every boss i think this one deserved to be the most deadly. You're fighting a freaking Horus which I know was weakened but still, if anything its decrepit state should only explain why Aloy was even able to damage it at all. However with drills the size of trains, legs big as office buildings and rotary cannons not unlike ones you'd find on aircraft and warships I would not mind this spectacle of a boss to exude the threat it is in lore and the gravity of Aloy and the world's situation if she loses through gameplay.
How come it looks so good and crisp? Currently playing the game, and while it looks good, it doesn’t look anywhere near as good as that to my eyes. I have a 4K monitor, not a great one, but still.
@@gorgom6089 I was saying that from memory : but in horizon dawn, if i remember well, at the end of the game, the action took place in a mountainous area where an horus carcass is lying. The thing seemed literally towering over and through the mountain. And given the size of one of its tentacle, it is really really really monstruously & horrificaly huge. I will try to find a link on youtube from a lets play : i had been be impressed by the view of that thing, so maybe my memories are overinterpreting its actual size
Bruh I finished the whole game not the dlc and I didnt fight no horus but I wad thinking it would be in the next game after I finished zd in 2017 and now ig its in the dlc and damnit I hate that it got spoiled for me now 😢
