Interesting. I started out in hospice as a new nurse in the inpatient facility and i loved it! Ive been thinking of going to hospital but i dont think i will as i dont like 12 hr shifts and the hospital setting. The hospital setting was more depressing to me than hospice ever will be. I work in surgery now and have thought about other specialties but hospice has been my only true love and im thinking of going back. Hospice is definitely a calling.
Oh nice! How did you like the inpatient setting? Always thought that was the sweet spot in hospice because I can’t stand all the driving. Hospice is definitely a calling!
@TimewithLivi I loved the inpatient setting! Where I moved to now they don't have too many so I've been given a job offer as hospice admissions. Not too excited about the driving but the pay was really good and most I ever made. What made you pick case manager over admissions in hospice?
@@1babygirlg yes, admissions pay much better! I started in case management since I never had hospice experience and then moved up to management. I have since left hospice altogether recently but I miss it sometimes
