Hospital Security has a legal obligation to provide safety and security to patients and staff.
This video is a bit of a rant.

I was a security manager with a security company in Antioch at a hospital. The worst part about the job was the Nurses who hated your guts but expected you to become RoboCop at the same time.

Yep. They start fires and then call you to put them out. There are some devastatingly narcissistic nurses out there.

Also, security in hospitals gets paid the same as employees in Taco Bell do. They want all these responsibility, but want to pay the same as fast food workers.

Security was very negligent! Disgraceful! I feel bad for a friend of mine who works for Allied! He's a honorable hardworking man who loves his job!

This a serious question. What is the difference between a reporter reading the weather report & a meteorologist? The later is a highly trained person in weather & it’d be an insult to call them just the weather gal/guy. About 35 years ago the term Flight ✈️ Attendant replaced Steward. A media cameraman became a photojournalist. Why ALL the changes? Bc the individuals are more highly trained, the knowledge level & job responsibilities increased significantly. Also for Security Officers. It is rude to call them security guards as it is rude to call someone a cameraman. Florida issues security licenses that has Security Officers written right on them. So please stop 🛑 insulting the hard working security officers in Florida. Pass this around to the writers & management staff. I do, respectfully, hope that with this new awareness will not purposefully continue to insult security officers. Thank you.

I can understand in the beginning you should learn how to do the meat and potato of security which is observe and report. If you cannot observe and report then you shouldn't be putting your hands on people, or be at a hads on post. That being said i think hospitals should not be observe and report post they should be hands on and the officers at the hospital should be taught basics of emergency response, arrest and control and documentation.

Allied has bought out and taken over about half of the security companies I've worked for. I've had to switch companies each time just to avoid Allied and their terrible policies.

I am so sorry to hear that you've been negatively affected by Allied and their takeovers.

Hospital security was my first official job when I was 18 years old. I was sadly contract it was yes very stressful and management being behind in the 1970s worrying about image of the place over the safety. I’ve been written up over having Kevlar gloves I’m like bruh our safety. Glad I gained the experience met lovely people but after 4 years of that it effected me mentally. I understand you 100% safety matters. - Aussie security

These large contact companies need to be regulated for being a monopoly to push out small companies that try to be a good security agency that have trained and responsible officers who are hired to do a job..

Years ago hospital security officers carry everything but a firearm depending on what hospital and there internal policies, or had off duty police officers or special police officers to back up the security officers when needed, it's no longer that way today..

A security guard who does not know his job is a liability. Knowing the post orders is important. Use of force of Continuum is constantly mentioned with Allied. However, almost every security company (not all) have employees who are not in fighting shape, don't have a good work ethic, or don't have as much experience. There are good people working in every security company but when that security guard acts like a peace officer then they are a liability. This rant can be about any security company.

Awesome video man I had no idea how much of a piece of shit Allied Universal really is. I’ve seen a lot of people do videos about why they quit it all adds up. Would you mind doing a video on Garda and Securitas? Just to cover the three big nationals being you’ve talked about Allied in this video

Do you think the policy goes by the site your working at? Because when I worked for Allied at a hospital, we were Hands-On whenever necessary. And it was requested by house supervisors. We always had action at that ER.
@securityguardcommand9792
@securityguardcommand9792 Год назад
That is quite possible. I've talked to 5 or 6 guards who worked for Allied at a hospital and they all said hands off. But it would makes sense.
@RedDragonProtection

@Security Guard Command I've worked for two hospitals under G4S, and one under Allied, and all were extreme hands on. whatever we needed to do to control the combative person. I can't imagine working at a hospital and not being allowed to make any physical contact.
