Thank you, Dr. Berry for all you and Neisha do! I became curious about keto 4 years ago, when I saw 2 of my coworkers lose a bunch of weight and get a "pep in their step" in just a few months. I asked what they were doing and they said keto. I said, that's crazy, you're going to die of a heart attack! After reading everything I could find at the library about it, I did a RU-vid search and found your channel. My friends didn't stick with their keto diet very well, but, with your help, I've been able to lose 80 pounds in the past 3 years, am off all 3 "for the rest of my life" prescriptions I'd been on 20+ years, got rid of high blood pressure, acid reflux, joint pain, brain fog and depression. My energy level, creativity and labs are better than they've ever been. I actually had to change some of my retirement plans, because my previous plan assumed I wouldn't live past 60. At age 64, I now believe I could live another 10-30 years. And even if I don't, the quality of life I now get out of each and every day is far superior to what I ever imagined. Much gratitude to you and your PHD tribe!
@@coffeemachtspass Unfortunately, I was very sick. My husband believed that was an accurate assessment as well. That's all changed, ALL OF IT, since we started eating low carb / high fat.
I lost a sister who rarely ate meat to cancer, 6 month since diagnosis, she decided broccoli steamed and garlic would cure her. Then my best friend who was cancer free for 7 years decided that meat is evil, vegetables only along with a glass of wine. When the cancer came back it took her in 2 months. I tried to tell them to eat more protein. No they would not listen. I am 68 and just about full carnivore, my chronic back and hip pain that the docs say I would have to live with forever is gone. Losing the extra weight is going. Fell great. Im never going to go to a doctor unless I have broken something that needs repairing. Carnivore, Ketovore or Clean Keto to me are all good choices. I started clean keto..heading to Carnivore. Thanks Dr Berry, you are the best
@@pamelawalker8052 so sorry to see your sister’s choices. My mom died this past March from COPD ant it’s complications and a heart problem. All of her major symptoms could have been helped by keto. She suffered but wouldn’t try keto. She thought it was dumb. She also continued with statins. So sad. She was 80. For those of us willing to do keto, we get a chance to renew our good health. I’m benefiting greatly and so are you. I’m trying to get people to go keto. It’s very different way of life. All the best to you.
I am with you! I tried a mostly plant based whole foods diet for 3 years. My hypertension went up and got prediabetes. Now, on keto all that is gone. I don't go to docs either. 67 years old and rocking it! Stay well.
me too, I have stage 3 kidney disease and I am type 2 diabetic, first diagnosed (based on A1C) in year 2007. What I don't understand, my doctor did not tell me anything about diet that would have helped me back in 2007. He used to tell me to eat chicken breast, without chicken skin, because he wanted me to avoid eating the fat. He wouldn't let me eat sardines, because he thought it would make kidney stones. He told me to eat an apple at bedtime. He told me to eat five times a day. He told me do calorie restriction to 1500 a day. I no longer go to that doctor. It took me several years to figure out, with a lot of help from internet teachers like Dr Ken Berry, to figure out my doctor was way off base and had been telling me things that made diabetes worse, not better.
Hi. That’s terrible!! Sad!! I hope you eat keto or carnivore to help your health now. Keto can heal T2D and carnivore heals organs. Watch Dr Berry for real guidance.
Oh, that's it! I noticed how young Dr Berry looks here and had to check whether I was acidentally going to open a reupload from years ago. 😂 Saying this, I remember thar years ago, Dr Berry was overweight and not as lean as today.😊
My faith in nurses was restored a tiny bit the other day. The nurse took my BP 3 times and acknowledge that my first 2 readings where high because I was anxious about being there. 3rd reading was great, so happy she didn't run with the first reading.
My husbands doc told him he had slight fatty liver. He noticed it during gallbladder being removed . He said fat causes fatty liver… luckily I follow Dr Berry! He’s given up sugar and chips and working on lowering carbs. He’s lost about 10 lbs since surgery and giving up sugar. 2 weeks.
All good, lootts of good information, but im not always agreed with dr. BERRY. And it OK! Geneticly modified human cancer sells, in the laboratory, to create a facke meat. It's nothing to do with a healthy burger. Really nothing to do with health at all😅
I’ve just recently had a really heavy lesson…. After years of pure carnivore, I moved to another city. The stress of the move was unexpectedly overwhelmingly intense. I soothed myself by going off carnivore with pure yogurt, blueberries, sometimes a “sugar free “ cream for the fun of the fruit. yogurt {pure and free of any additives} …. And it ruined my mind and body within a few weeks. I can’t go into the full details of harm here and now because of space, but I got very suicidal as well. It’s just been so long since I’ve not been a clean carnivore that the deterioration was extremely swift! I’m coming out of it now, but it was just a very deadly feeling and the pain throughout my body and joints made me WALK wobbly! (I’m in my 80’s and take no meds)…..evidently a Clean Body is nothing to be messed with. Thank goodness I put things together before I died. I’ll never take my perfect health for granted again.
@@pennylacombe4763 I agree!!! High carbs is so sad!!!!! Low carb is liberating and light on the mental activity!!! It’s not worth the seconds of taste entertainment to be so sad. Go keto/carnivore!!!
Hey keto friends! I’ve had success on keto! I’ve lost 86 pounds almost a year and a half. Keto cured my constant exhaustion and joint pain. Go keto. It’s life changing. Thanks, Dr Berry.
Dr. Berry, I am 66 years old. Since following your recommendations over the last 3 - 5 years, I have lost 30 lbs and gotten much healthier than I have been since hitting 45 years old and probably before that. I have no significant health issues amd feel fantastic. All my numbers are great. Thank you!
Hi from Pennsylvania! year and a half on Carnivore! Will never go back. Feel great and look pretty good too. I'm 72 years old, retired RN, enjoying my retirement now because I feel like a 40 year old again. Love you guys
DR. BERRY, YOUR NEW LOOK IS WONDERFUL. You look so clean cut, intellectual, and so trustworthy - so much better. Love it. Neisha he looks great. Please take this the right way.
Thank you, Doc! I have been carnivore for 7 months. At age 60, I had a really hard time just trying to lose 5 lbs when I was a vegan. And now I went from 240 to 180 lbs. That is just a bonus. How I feel now and how my skin looks is crazy good. No depression or anxiety anymore. I never took any medication, or had high cholesterol. PHD is the way to go. I'm so happy that it is heeling so many good people, I am also a big fan. Keep up the great work ! I tell everyone about you and your channel, even strangers that I see at the meat case at the store. Let's crush big Pharma and big sugar by shouting from every tree top the God's honest truth.
Now, they are claiming that "NORMAL " BP should be 110/70. Wife and I are RNs at the hospital. Shocking what the Medical Industrial Complex is trying to pull these days. Total lackeys for the pharmaceutical industry. Shameful.
Depends how old you are. If in your 50s or oldera 110 systolic is dangerous for the majority of people. Your arteries are not as pliable as a 20, 30, year old. In the 1960s. The doctors gave a guideline of systolic 100 plus your age. Dystolic under 100. That was a guideline. I'm not sure if you are 80 that a 180 is acceptable. At 18 yrs never thought to ask, after all that was 100 years in the future.😅 Symptoms of too low systolic in elderly, feeling faint, fainting, falls, light headed, dizzy. Have to stand up slowly or feel faint. Remember these are also symptoms of other things. On BP medicines buy BP machine take BP before meds in morning then 12 hours later . Show all results to your doctor. Have long discussion with your doctor. Can not tell you to take meds according to BP to show Dr. Your BP is often wrong in doctors for many people. Dr Berry has video on this & how to take BP.. Although I can't do the 10 minutes I get bored, figit. I watch/listen to something relaxing. Then switch everything off. Total silence for 2-4 minutes then take BP. That is just how it works for me.
This is Marsha RN- I LOVED your response to Maria Lands! I hear some of the stupidest responses from doctors in the hospital and I respond the same inside!
Ty Dr Berry so much! Went to my arthritis dr last week. He asked me how did I lose so much weight! 170 down to 142 since 1/18/24! 72 yr old female. I’m only 5’3”. I told him Whole Foods. Mostly meat! He stopped my Allopurinol and now Hydrochloroquine 200mg daily and he said stop it in a month! He wants to see me in January! I am sharing my story with anyone that will listen! I feel like a teenager again! My milia is disappearing after 20 years. My gum disease improved! Great dental visit! My bladder incontinence improved. No more irritable bowel syndrome! No more embarrassing flatulence or leakage of bowel! I can’t wait to see my pulmonary dr next week! I’ve used a CPAP machine for severe sleep apnea 5 years! Will let you know if he wants me to do a sleep study! No meds in my future! You were sent into my life by my desperation in searching UTube for HELP. I just kept getting sick and gaining weight. Your video showed up and I’m eternally grateful. I love this way of eating. I’ve tried everything people. But I’m just a typical BABY BOOMER raised with processed foods. My Ky grandparents living off the land lived longer than my parents did. Yes, I love those McDonalds meat patties too!
Watching from the Philippines. 2 years low carb low fat, now 5 mos on carnivore and eager to learn more about the proper human diet. Thanks for all that you do for the health of humankind.
I love the make everything a workout. I handwash my clothes and I have a tree branch saw instead of a mechanical saw or whatever you'd call it. My kids always wonder why I do things the hard way but I love doing it this way. I do suffer from weakness and fatigue and hoping this carnivore diet will change that!
Hi Dr Berry we had been doing carnivore since April 1 2024. It was working great sadly I started going rapidly down hill with a severe covid out break just in time for the Debby storm here in Fl. I do not remember the weekend at all I was so sick. My husband followed me on this covid journey and the storm damage is waiting to be fixed. We put down the meat and focused on soup, Gatorade, and whatever we could hold down. Did we mess up all our progress? Still sick but hopeful to be well soon, thank you for all your help and advice. God bless you and your family
God bless you! I am so sorry to hear of your illness and that violent Debby. I've been following Dr. Berry for 3 years and am mostly ketovore (meat-based keto with less than 10 carbs/day). My experience has been that when I fall off the diet I still get to KEEP all the healing my body did while I was on it, for the most part. Things that went away with keto, like joint pain, acid reflux and depression, come back when I increase carbs, but they go away very quickly when I lower the carbs again. Do what you need to do to get through this illness and get right back to what you were doing, carnivore-wise, as soon as possible. I believe your body will quickly recover and continue it's healing journey.
Dr Berry I enjoy all the knowledge you share with us on your channel. My husband and I have each lost over 40 pounds and we feel great eating Keto/Carnivore. By the way, I noticed your shaved face immediately! You look 10 years younger!! Love your beard also. You do what makes you , and Neisha , happy! Love from New England!
WOW! wasn't sure if that was you. You look great both ways but you look years younger clean shaved. Love both you and wife, thank you both for being caring people.
I want to say thank you Dr. Berry for keeping your content in chronological order. I have been ketovore for 3 1/2 years now and you have been my teacher and guide. I have recently started a keto weight loss and support group and I am using your videos as teaching and motivation tools. Since your vid’s are in chronological order it really helps me to find the ones that I remember that were so inspirational to me so I can pass them on. Love the new look you handsome man! And really love the kitty! 😻
I know its a bit late for comment; but when I started watching the video, I had to check the submission date to see if this was a current new video or a re-upload from 7 years ago. You look much younger without the beard.
They exist among the Inuit. Before European arrival, they consumed no vegetables, sugar, or processed grains. Our own ancestors evolved eating a similar diet. Their skeletal remains are more robust compared to the remains from ancient farming communities. But, believe as you wish.
Darn. Sans beard. I am a 70 year old male and I have lost 100 pounds. Went from a 42 inch waist to a 32 inch waist. Trigs are 48 and my A1C is 4.6. I started with keto and slowly progressed to Carnivore. No prescription meds at all.
I have Secondary Progressive MS, I follow you, especially as you’re one of the only ones who talks about MS specifically! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!!
Neal in Kissimmee, Fla. 84 yrs. old. Been Carnivore for about 100 days. Type 2 diabetic, CKD level 3...NOW...A1C is 5.7! Ninety days ago it was at 9! My Kidney Guy was dumbfounded. At 84, I've yet to have an M.D. ask me: "What do you eat?" My Kidney function has dropped from 33% to 26% Kind of a bummer. But Thanks Doc. for giving me a new lease on life. My Doc, after having checked my blood work, and said, Coach you are in KETOSIS!! Go Vols, and thanks again.
I think when you have kidney disease you are suppose to limit protein intake. My dad had kidney disease and i rember his dieticisn telling him the proper foodss to eat. I rember her saying egg whites were really good for you. Maybe you could find a dietician that could guide you to foods /drinks that could be better for your kidneys.
Search Coach Stephen Hemodialysis on RU-vid. He interviewed a guy with stage 5 kidney disease who reversed it with carnivore, got off dialysis and turned down the transplant because he didn't need it.
Last year my husband had abdominal pain. Went to the ED and the CT scan showed a kidney stone. I looked at his chart and also showed severe hepatic steatosis - fatty liver. The emergency was the kidney stone, which was addressed, but not one word about his inflamed fatty liver. His doctor hasn't addressed it yet to this day. He is on a PHD now. I have hopes of it cleaning up through lifestyle. I suspect the reason they had nothing to say is because it's so common in type 2 diabetics and there is no pill to give for it. We'll wait to re check because I don't want the radiation exposure, eventually want to find out if things improve, just need more time to pass. By the way you look younger without the beard. I'd say Neisha gets the final say. Curious what Bonnie thought, young ones can give the best reaction to hair changes on their parents. 😂
I was on medication for type 2. My hA1c was 6.5%. Started keto and 5 months later my hA1c was 5.0%. That was 2.5 years ago. My highest hA1c since going keto has been 5.2% and I'v been off of medication for over a year. I took a chance on listening to Dr. Berry and it paid off.
For collagen, oxtail meat always comes with a collagen film over it. Homemade bone broth is also an amazing source, save your beef bones and throw them and some water in a slow cooker on low for 12 hours for a delicious collagen rich broth. There's a lot of nutrition locked in bones and this is a fantastic way to access it
LOVE THE shaved FACE! you look very handsome, Dr Berry! Thank you for all that you do! I've been binge watching your Q&A's and I'm on the keto diet since August 1st. I feel amazing
Watching from Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬, SouthPacific... Love your videos, Dr. Ken Berry. I'm just coming to know such information and trying out ketogenic and carnivore diets. Thank you for sharing such knowledge.
Em nau John yu no ken kaikai ol maggi na ol kaikai i no strong, mate! Mi stap long Texas tasol mi bin i stap long PNG inap 10pela kristmas. Mi tu statim carnivore long dispela yia na mi lusim 13 kilo nabaut. Good Luck!
I’ve commented before. Lost nearly 80 lbs. since going Carnivore July of 2023. Everything has improved from bone/joint to mental/emotional. Haven’t been super strict meat only over the Summer eating more cheese & occasional veggies (specific ones don’t cause problems for me). Probably eat similar to Neisha. Not gaining weight, I seem to be the weight I’m supposed to be now. Some might say losing more would be too much. Also noticed recently my arms are getting very defined & hard as well as my thighs. I don’t do any extra exercising outside of keeping up with my 8 y/o, walking everywhere (I live in NYC) & carrying groceries & other things home. And since Dr. Berry asked, beards or some facial hair are typically more flattering on most men, lol! 👍🧔♂️
My last blood test Cholesterol total.445 HDL.65/LDL 343..Triglycerides 178..doctor is yelling for statins ! I’m 74/Female with CLL..went strict carnivore 21/2 mos ago!
Also been through the diets in my life time, vegetarian and vegan, and diets and eating disorders. I think carnivore is the answer for me. Thankyou for your info and passion.
Am turning 70 in October, G-d willing. Started keto carnivore April 9th. Gone from a size 12 to a size 6. Had a cpeptide test, after doctor told me i need to be on statins and i told him give me time to change my lifestyle. After 2and a half months, went back for another bloodtest. He called me to say, my numbers are good, dont need a statin. My C-Peptide test was 0, best score. After going through carbohydrate withdrawl flu, feeling weak for several weeks, my energy levels are great. Was suffering from leg cramps at night, and have just discovered that when i stopped drinking my organic decaf coffee, my nighly leg cramps have stopped. Am overjoyed but sad to give up my decaf. Drinking organic unsweetened cocoa instead. I owe everything to the One Above who led me to find Dr. Berry. I am on a mission to help save numerous family members. Bless you Dr. Ken Berry and Nurse Keisha with all good. AMEIN
I lost 40 lbs on keto, couldn’t get rid of candida until I learned about taking digestive enzymes and bile salts because my gallbladder was removed, didn’t know that digestion can lower the candida
❤Dr thanks you when I meet you here I started cornivore diet do you believes me I had the worst gam beeding since my childhood after my strict cornivore diet now gum bleeding is over plus a lost belly fat, all I can say is thank you, you are very good human❤ beings ❤❤❤❤❤
I feel great on a whole food keto diet, some fasting, and sometimes carnivore. It is great to eat such nutrient dense foods. I have just started to wean my baby onto keto foods. We do allow her some fruit and vegetables in moderation that we don't eat. She is loving her food and a very healthy baby.
Think you’d look good with a Dr. Strange face mullet. Carnivore x1 month. Excited by the changes in how I feel and move and sleep. Praise God for you and Neisha and Kelly H.
Dr. K - Cental Ohio here. My chiropractor has told me that I should start to increase my collagen intake by getting 4 pkg of unflavored gelatin which comes from beef bones of course, then using 3-4 cups of fruit juice make the gelatin blocks which is just solid gelatin; to increase my collagen. Said she used to be Pro carnivore but isn't any longer I'm not sure why she has not elaborated. Encourages milk 1-2% or goats milk, fruit, cheese. Hard to reconcile differences in her nutrition recommendations over last 10 years.
Informative info, and needed for those who are seeking Health, and answers reguarding questions... I am grateful as I have some of these symptoms on this CIRS list. Thank-You both for this awareness... 😎🎻♥️
There’s a great book called “My Body, My Gym” that has hundreds of body weight exercises. I work out in my bedroom. Dr Ken talks about lifting heavy things. We’ll push ups and dips require lifting your own body. Believe me. You don’t need to join a gym. Or just walk!
