@@gussampson5029 if it is hot and it has chocolate, then it’s hot chocolate. doing it wrong is ending up with something that you didn’t intend to make.
One time, I wanted to make Vanilla Coke cause I thought it would taste amazing, so I added a little bit of vanilla into the coke and tasted it. I couldn’t taste it. So I added a little more. Still couldnt taste it. I kept adding more and more until I actually could taste it, and as soon as I took two gulps of my coke, I had one of the worst stomach aches if my life! When I told my mom what happened she said “sweetie, you just made an adult beverage” 💀 Me: 👁👄👁
Can you PLEASE add measurements or some written recipe that I can follow I'm a huge hot chocolate lover and it looks soooo good Edit: like how hot it should be
🍫Ingredients: 1 cup/ 4 ounces of dark chocolate (chop finely) 2 cups of milk 1 1/2 Tablespoons sugar Splash of cream (looks like 1/4 of a cup) 1-2 Tablespoon of vanilla extract 🔸Put milk, sugar and cream in a pot, medium heat. Heat until there are bubbles appearing on the side, turn off the heat. 🔸While the milk in the pot is heating up, melt the chocolate (A- In the microwave on 600 watts for 10 seconds over and over. This is important bc when the chocolate gets too hot all at once it will turn bitter! B- in a hot water bath, google this if you've never done it!) 🔸When the bubbles in the milk appear and the heat is turned off, use a whisk to mix a thin stream of melted chocolate into the milk. 🔸Add the vanilla extract as well. Whisk until the milk turns a uniform brown color. 🔸When the mixture turns cold, it is safe to heat up the pot again, make sure to stir though so the incorporated chocolate doesn't get too hot in one spot and turn bitter. Check temperature with a finger, do not let the finished mixture boil! 🍫Serving, optional: Use a spoon to smear a little bit of Nutella on the insode of the cup you want to serve the hot chocolate it. Add whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top.
Use as much chocolate and sugar as you please. Milk is the base. Want it richer, add more cream. Want it chocolatier, more chocolate. Sweeter, add sugar. This is perfect for going the taste and adjust route.
Once you realize that 99% of recipes are just bullshit numbers that the recipe-maker conjured out of thin air, you understand that there's never a "correct" amount of an ingredient to add. Like my high school English teacher used to say "Add whatever you need to make it good."
I’m getting memory vibes from when I visited Ethiopia for the first time. When dad went back to the US and when my mom and brother were in the hospital because they kept getting violently sick, so it was just me and the house keeper in the house. She would always make me grilled cheese and Mac and cheese with tea and hot chocolate. It was rainy season so it rained *HARD*, with mud and *HAIL* in the back and front yard. I would watch “Totally Spies “ and movies from America ( like Angry Birds, Angry Birds 2, Hotel Transylvania 2, The Lion King, The Lion King 2, etc etc) And every time we hung out ( the house keeper and I), we watch movies, and I would always just put cocoa powder, boiled water, whisk it around, add cool milk to even out the temperature, and drink with her when she had hot chocolate too. ( the powder came with super small- sized marshmallows, they weren’t really anything interesting, but they where nice) it was a fun memory, but, I’ve been back to America eventually, and I lost her number, I have never seen her since, but I hope she is doing well, I miss her. I hope I see her soon one day, she was the coolest-most greatest-most perfect mother-figure I’ve ever had. Anyways, that’s how I made my hot chocolate, how did your guy’s taste like? I really love hot chocolate!!

4oz (1.6 of a 5x2 bar) Dark Chocolate Bars (Cut them up and place into a microwave safe bowl.) Sauce pan: Let this heat up 2 Cups Whole Milk 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Sugar Splash of Heavy Cream (Roughly 1/2 Cup.) Microwave chocolate until it’s nice and runny. Once the milk begins to bubble on the sides, turn off the heat and whisk in the chocolate. Add a touch of vanilla extract. (Roughly 1/4 cup.)
Does anyone else see something in a video and than run , yes run💀 to the comments to find someone mentioning it and omg no one is talking about how he got the ✨ICONIC✨ hot chocolate moustache🤣✋
@I’m nameless it can be done with pure cocoa powder... no need to roast the seeds and so but still you are making it from scratch as it's not a chocolate bar that has 50 ingredients in it.
