No rain, no shade, no rest. It is super hot and the sand is super soft. Single pulls through the mouth are getting pretty difficult a this point. Nobody has broken anything but everyone without AC is feeling the effects of the sun.
I've got a built fj cruiser 35 12.5 rear locker a trac...no recovery bumper . But I get asked to help others ...and I usually do but most of the time I'm spending money effort and wear an tear without anything but a thanks...most of you guys do this, I Think for free but do yall take tips?
I don't take any money from people any longer. Others do take tips if they are offered. It is an expensive hobby between fuel, wear and tear, and time.
I can't type all the reasons out, but I've heard it all. Number 1 reason, I didn't think it was that bad. Number 2, it wasnt like this last time. Number 3, I thought I could make it.
Great to see that Defender just cruise through there Steve hahaha.... You must get so frustrated at all these morons who just can't be bothered to air down. Do you ever throw your hands up in the air and shout "what the F are you doing?" hahahaha good vid as always :)
Sadly, I can no longer say I've never had to pull out a Rover. Last month I had to recover a Range Rover on 20s. But if you weren't aired down in that spot you didn't stand a chance.
4 low. Way easier on the drivetrain and keeps things cooler. Hold the traction button for 15 seconds and it will turn the traction control off all the way.
@@Land_Raverdo you think I can go through that sand on a stock jeep with all season tires? What's a safe psi to deflate stock all season time on jeep rims? Normally have it on about 38psi ? I want to go there this coming weekend. Thanks.
Shouldn't be a problem. 15 is fine if you get into some deep stuff. That's assuming you don't have low profile tires. The sand was 150 degrees on Saturday so it will heat your tires up and raise the pressure by about 5psi.
@@Land_Raver Definitely have 5:13 gears for the rear end and Nitro chromoly shafts, but haven't decided on my toothpick Dana 30 in the front to beef It up or swap for a ProRock 44
