Unfortunately, there were some trainees that sang very off beat and out of tune… But! There were really great trainees in it too with nice dancing skills and vocals :)
@@wonderfulrose477 I'm not very familiar with it myself, but in this episode I believe the groups have to get a certain number of votes from the audience to put them through, and then the judges decide whether to advance each individual contestant to the next round. the judges don't get to vote unless the audience "passes" the group
The brown haired girl with bangs really stood out for me, because of her presence and facial expressions. Personally I think that she’s the only one who understood how to perform this song. I think that if she trained on her voice a bit then she could become a great vocalist.
@@wonderfulrose477 In other words, but the same: "The most important thing to me is vocalization. We have foreign members in the group ... and we work to they don't look like foreign (when they sing) In this presentation I did not understand anything of what you said, even though I wrote the song"
@@Vor567tez The produce series has very noticeable auto tune with some contestants, but there were also some good vocalists that didn’t need it. I think more shows are starting to using it a bit less (or atleast not at the intensity where some vocals sounded straight up robotic). My teenage girl seems to be at the same level as Girls planet 999 when it comes to auto tune use.
@@Vor567tez a LOT of autotune was in produce. there were people in the produce48 crowd who came to talk about their experience watching them, and they said it was basically a completely performance from what they heard live.
i love how they probably put the first 2 girls at the beginning because they sing well and to give a first good impression lmao. Those 2 slayed and also girl at 1:34 idk why y'all say the whole group sucked. Btw, love soyeon's reaction
She didn't even got angry because their performance was trash is what she said😂 Imma be honest tho... It's very understandable that she got so disappointed! Imagine her expectations! Like... It's so ballsy that you'll perform that song to the person who produced, composed, arranged and direct that song! Only if they did good... Lmao
truly how fucked the voting system is when people were already voting without even hearing the team’s vocals. hell, they haven’t even started the performance yet and the bar was already at 25%.
From what I know they voted because the oldest member was in this team and her debut was canceled unexpectedly so they want her to at least get a chance
I saw the clip of her crying after being eliminated so I wanted to check which parts did she sing here and...😶 I know she is originally a rapper but the reality is this performance of hers wasn't good
I think they delivered the song too lightly. The song Latata, for me, is strong. The vocals are not too expressive. I think they are good dancers but I think they still have to practice especially their vocals. When you watch (G)-Idle’s performance, it’s so strong. I think they should make that as their reference. I mean, they’re performing in front of Soyeon. She would be disappointed. As far as I know, she wrote the song. So she know how to deliver it. I think they delivered it improperly. I hope they can improve. Sure they will.
I agree, all the members voice, except for this one girls voice, just doesn't suit the concept and Theme Latata is trying to express. It started off okay, but then the chorus became a disaster. They are beautiful girls, but if they want to stand on stage, then they all need a few more years of vocal training along with stage presence practice..
yeah that's also probably the reason why one of them was off key. if she sang it with more power, she wouldn't be singing falsetto in that manner that ruined the entire performance. she's barely opening her mouth to sing which is why her throat is constricted and it affected her ability to sing on key
if hyungseo can work on being more expressive / having a better cadence when she sings she'll go to the next level, already has everything else you need
I think they started off pretty good. They look like they can dance but at 2:05 I think this is where things started to go south, they probably put too much energy in dancing they started running out of breath and didn’t have enough to support their singing.
not really. they have poor stamina. it's okay to put some effort in dancing but they should put an equal amount of energy in singing which they didn't. it would've been easier for them if they weren't overly cautious to the point of barely giving anything at all. i think that's what hindered them from giving powerful vocals.
@@francinev3971If they had poor stamina then their dancing would’ve gotten sloppy but I don’t think that’s the case here. I still think they put too much energy into dancing which didn’t allow them to breathe and sing properly
I actually liked the performance until 2:10 Hyeongseo at 0:30 looks like Tiffany from SNSD Hari at 0:48 looks like Miyeon from (G)Idle during Latata Era Hyeongseo and Hari literally carried the whole performance on their back.
no she doesn’t laugh she get angry. ahe laugh at other things but never at contestants cause that how she got her big break. she view it as a hug responsibility.
If you really think that you don't know Soyeon at all, she's not the kind of person who will be laughing at someone because of this she's not a rude person, she was dissapointed
Hyungseo!!! yes! debut as vice leader please.. Hari did well too. Wei can't control her breath well from the middle of the performance but other aspect she is great! miss Jang make mistake tho.... (yihan? how the spelling?) Sumin did good plus the opening she did with wei is lit.
Omg I love the instrumental and the intro. It was great and props to them for doing this in front of Soyeon! (G)I-DLE songs are really hard to cover but they still have a lot of time to improve their vocals and stability!
There was only that singing part going viral so I thought they were really bad. But their dancing is on point. They just need a little singing practice. They are really good dancers 👏👏
Look….I’m not gonna try and critique this performance because their choice for even choosing this song and in front of Soyeon was brave af I give them brownie points for that alone
I'm gonna be honest, the cover was not so bad, the girl at minute 2:10 let's say she was the one who gave the group a bit of a bad reputation, since at that moment the judges began to look strange, there is the point.
for me this is already a decent performance especially that it was almost acapella because the instrumentals were so low but we gotta admit that there's a specific member that should be removed here (and the dancing was gooodd)
my opinion: Honestly watching all the video they are not so bad, the first 2 girls have a good vocals (of course need to practice more) and good presence especially the brunette girl, the other 2 are good dancers and have good stage presence in my opinion they can also improve the vocals a lot with a little practice and then there is the last girl well that looked pretty bad. The audience also already votes without seeing even half of the performance like idk...
Hyungseo, Hari, Sumin did really good. Hyungseo and Hari's voice ae powerful and stable while Sumin's voice is also quite well + she can dance nicely ❤
Half of the group sounded good actually, while the other half needs way more practice. But there are groups that debuted and in a performance without backing track would sound way worse.
The thing about this is JSY is perhaps the most fully qualified to be in the position to judge what a Chinese speaker’s skills should be pre debut, given she has first hand experience with Yuqi and Shuhua. It’s hard to disagree with her criticism of both the CN contestants here. Harsh, and definitely a shame for me (I wanted Wei to beat the odds), but, the criticism was valid. There was a bar they needed to clear at this point, and to her eyes, it wasn’t enough.
