I've tried transcribing this one before and the chorus almost broke me. This is such a good attempt -- I love how you've broken it up as "Ka voo ha", keeping the "voo" for "you"! I struggled a lot with the "yibs" in the second line of the chorus. I really wanted to do it like this too because we all know it means "yes", but I can't help but admit it sound much more like "neep" or "neeb", like in the following lines! Stellar work though!!

Same here...It was too close to ignore and the timing of it in the translation...I had to prioritize it. Yes, I struggled at that same point! Ended up double, triple, quadruple quadruple-checking with my headphones to make sure. XD Though Sims 2 Simlish isn't as translated as Sims 4 Simlish is...I wish Maxis would share the Simlish lyric sheets they give the artists with the rest of us! The artists have been much nicer about sharing the Simlish lyric sheets with those who ask compared to Maxis. :/

There For You by Bryan Rice (through Simlish recording video) Contraband by Eee Gee (through Sims video on her own channel) Praying Mantis by Jazz Alonso (I asked her for it and she was kind enough to share!! 🤗🤗) Plus you can check out my Simlish recordings playlist on my channel for a collection of artists recording their songs in Simlish and showing the lyric sheets they were given too! Also, some artists and composers were nice enough to share their original ENGLISH lyrics to Simlish-only songs! Steve Mandile & Kari Kimmel being the top 2!! :D Still waiting on responses from Charlton Pettus, Raney Shockne, etc...Until then I just translated those Simlish only songs into English myself! your transcriptions are so amazing, it must take so much time to break down the lyrics into individual words or conjunctions, I really enjoy the structures of simlish you make out on these gibberish lyrics

Wow! Huge Vadish/Thanks for the compliment ^^ It means a lot! I've done 175+ of these Simlish lyric videos so far. I do need to be in a particular mindset to hear the Simlish well without imposing any English bias onto the lyrics. ^^ I made a video on how I transcribe the lyrics if you want to check it out. Yup! In an early interview Katy Perry admitted to being a huge fan of The Sims (1). Naturally, The Sims team picked up on that and invited her to do a song for The Sims 2. :D That's how they got a lot of the first artists to re-record their songs for The Sims 2. The artists said they were huge fans of the original The Sims game! :D According to The Sims Wiki and Robi Kauker, The Sims team worked with over 100 artists in The Sims 2!!
