I'm in . I've been watching yours and Andy's escapades since lockdown , keep up the good work . Hope I haven't miss the chance to win the tent I'm saving to buy one from Amazon at the moment so I've got to try . Cheers.
"I'm in", great video Simon; would love to use a tent like this one on the cold slopes and high plains of the Peruvian Andes. Thanks for the great content.
Hello, have just been watching your videos on RU-vid and am blown away by your stuff. I have just come back from the artic circle in Norway and have seriously enjoyed wild camping whilst up there. Done the trip on a motorcycle and have average 400 miles a day over a period of ten days. Have been using a small teepee tent as I find them very quick to set up. I will carry one watching all your little films from now on
I wanted to share some information about wood stove operating . I know some people want to keep the doors open and be closer to nature , but if it's because the tent is too hot 🔥 🥵 just use larger pieces of wood don't split it into kindling. When split more surface area is exposed and the wood burns faster and hotter. You waste less time and energy splitting and less wood. Important where I live last night -14f/-27c?. I also use the damper and air intake to control the temperature I can usually keep the temperature overnight about 5c/40f and minimize the need to feed the stove.
I'm in. and if I win I will send You a few jars of My Moonshine!! ; - ) I did hot tenting last year, but I used a cheap Ebay workshop stove in My 15 year old Aldi tent. Anyway first time I fired it up it just got hotter and hotter and I couldn't stay in the tent with the beast glowing red hot!!! Best Wishes Jahmahrah De'Safilli
Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good ru-vid.comUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.
I’ve got a Smokey Hut and it’s a dream. Still a great tent with out a stove in through the warmer months. Love your work Simon. I’ve now finished my old wool blanket (my nannas, RIP) bush shirt!
"I'm in" seems to be the magic incantation... but the sausages look to be an equal prize here! Had an overnight in a Lavvu during the half-term holiday, which was excellent. I wasn't prepared for how dark it would be inside - the thick canvas really blocks out the light and it wasn't clear when daytime arrived. Best lay-in in years!
I’m in! Thanks for going through the effort to haul and setup two hot tent setups! Loved the close up of Maggie at 6:32 - so hard to get a good look at her face with all her dark black fur. Such a big cutie!
“I’m in” This would be a fantastic addition to the winter kit, always fancied trying out a hot tent. Thanks to you and One Tigris for the opportunity to win one of these. One question Simon.. does Maggie come with the tent.. she’s just adorable!
“I’m in.” Camping was a treasured memory as a kid. I was able to take my three camping for the first time this year; hopefully the first of many times!
I used to camp a lot when I was younger and Simon you’ve totally inspired me to start camping again and I’m loving it. You’ve also been my number one source for ideas on kit and gear. I especially love my mini fire anchor, worth every penny (thanks Trevor). I hope to do some backcountry camping in the Canadian rockies next summer.
I'm in! Love the prospect of a single pole rather than the multi-pole skeletal structure my current tent requires. Maggie is obviously well-loved and well-fed, what a sweet, gorgeous pup! After my Samoyed passed my enthusiasm for camping waned, until friends offered to loan their dogs for camp trips. Camping is so much more fun and interesting with a dog's company and watching them watch the world around them. Happy trails, Simon, thanks for sharing your knowledge and adventures.
I'm in for the sausages and tent please!! We are just about to hit the road ourselves and this would be a great piece of kit for backwood camping. Stay safe Mr S and Maggie:-)
Oh I miss having a dog! ! ! Love your video. I've been considering the OneTigris Rock Fortress Tent and the Tiger Roar Stove as well as other brands of tents and stoves including Polomy. But I think this set up will suit my needs the best. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and give Maggie a pat for me mate. Just found your channel tonight and subscribed. Pity it is over 2 years since you were giving away the Rock Fortress tent, but I'll be ordering one very soon. Thanks again for all your hard work mate.
Bought a rock fortress and inner mesh along w/ a winnerwell medium nomad w/ view stove. About to try it out in two wks. Thank you and to Kent survival, MdM outdoors, and lonewolf for five years of research
Researching a hot tent to use bird hunting in different states quail in AZ to Pheasant and grouse in the upper midwest. Mainly just me and the dogs and sometimes the wife and grandson.
I'm in for the tent giveaway. Just trying to get into wildcamping, and yours are probably the best videos on RU-vid. Can I ask where you got that handsome hat from?
I’m in…I’ve been wistfully looking at hot tents for a while now. It’d be great for dragging the family out in the Canadian Rockies. Thanks for the chance!
"I'm in". Would be nice if you could get Tom with you again. It does add an extra touch to the episodes. you have my respect for how you do on youtube. it's always a pleasure when there is an episode.
For Simon, not sure if either of these would be in the "HOLY SH*T THAT'S HOT!!" category but, like you, I LOVE my hot sauce. If I can find it, Frank's triple X sayse is good but it's got a huge kick. Ghost Jolokia sauce from a place called Tropical Pepper company is good, just have to use it sparingly where that stuff is pretty nuclear. I've gone past tobasco but will still use it once in awhile.
Love the video I just got that same tent and it Perform very well am planning on doing a review in a couple weeks as I have been testing this set up in cold weather camping and I have just tested it overnight New Year’s Eve in the rain
"I'm in... together with my Sea Cubs". Now they all want to go out in a big hot tent every time we go out with the kayaks upstream! Thanks Simon for another amazing and inspiring video. CNE1100 Sea Scout Group (Portugal)
I’m in!! I’m in the USA so I will understand if I can’t win. My husband is truly enjoying your videos! He is a big hiker/camper. He also really likes how your Land Rover is set up. Happy camping!
I'm in. I've been looking into getting a good hot tent. I have a Gstove currently, just need the hot tent. Was going to convert my Tigers den by Onetigris into a hot tent but that turned out to be more of a hassle than it's worth.
I've just bought one Simon ( Ali Express ) £220 delivered from the far far East 😉 wake up royal mail the shores are delivering quicker than the postal system 🤷♂️🤷♂️👍
"I'm in" I have plenty of places and chances to use this tent if I were lucky enough to win it! Thanks for all your great vids and it was great to see you out with Maggie once again!
Hi Simon. Great to see Maggie with a sparkle in her eye. Another fab video. Please put me in to the competition, that tent looks great. I’m in. ATB. Grays
"Im in" If you can send it to New Zealand.. Will be awesome to go out camping when our latest lockdown resides.. Otherwise good luck to the others on winning this awesome prize
Im In!! I want to get my other channel doing this with my pony packing and with my dogs. I’ve considered this tent i would of course love to win one, I’d be happy to pay for shipping! Thank you! Your dog is adorable
I'd like to be in but live in SC on the east coast of good old USA but originally from Walsall in the West Midlands, UK . Me and the wife watched your channel with all your superb informative videos back to back yesterday as it was blowing a monsoon through here lol , ABSOLUTELY brilliant, funny, down to earth! great reviews and adventures. we loved every minute of them ! I've probably spent a small fortune on amazon upgrading my kit thanks to you Simon lol , try and keep clean and hopefully not so many busted knuckles working on the good old LR. more content on that would be great. i'm a lucky owner of a 110 too which I got imported from Southampton. What a fine example of British engineering LOl. Ive had them for years in UK; green laned and rough camped. My 6 year old daughter slept in the hammock in the back when weather got too windy in Wales. Anyways enough waffling its still miserable out so i think it'll be a bit more Simon & Maggie and hopefully Tom for us today keep the videos coming , just awesome !!!! all the best mate ..... Sharon & Jason Levy SC
"I'm in" thanks for the first thoughts on the tent it looks a nice addition to your kit, looking forward to a long-term review after you've given it a hammering.
Im in... if it's not too late. You rock Simon. Semper Fi from the US. I made my own stove out of a 30mm cannon ammo box. Need something to put it in. Keep up the good work. Ill be watching. WSM, USMC
Hi Simon..plesse can you test out the inner bath mesh for the tent. I know you are really super busy but I am buying this tent but heard bad reviews on the inner mesh because of the fire. Hope you get the time to reply. God Bless you & maggi 🙏🏼 I love your videos 👍
Loved the vid, great watching good practical use of a product by an experienced outdoorsman like yourself 👍😁 thinking of buying a good large sized hot tent and will have a look at the tigris. I love the stuff made by Russian bear the UP2 espescially but you can't get em in this country anymore because they say they won't export to UK ☹ so need to look for an alternative preferably with a floor in it (mrs doesn't like the open floor idea 😂) Keep making the great vids love watching em and your not just some bloke in the woods your a bushcrafter with a hell of a lot of experience which your sharing with all those that aspire to be at your experience 😉👍 cheers Simon.
Simon, "I'm in" also, but I learn so much from your videos that I need no additional incentive! Your weather differs from ours here in western PA in the states, where it was 23 degrees (F) last week when I was in the local forest, and the overnight temps will be there and lower now until March or April. My hammock is fine down into the mid-teens, but if I'm out for several nights in cold weather, I use my Luxe hot-tent. Cheers!
" I'm in" Plenty of room to spare, which I need at my age. Also have a 108 lb German Shepherd which can be pretty cramped in smaller tents. This would be perfect for Basecamp and longer stays.
Wow thats very nice and spacious! I got a 2 person and I underestimated how small it was. I am new to bushcrafting and wow it's expensive! I got a camp gear stove which is meh it isn't the best. Anyways thank you for this video! "I'M IN" I'm so in. Thanks so much for giving like that it is very kind!
Unfortunately I think I missed the ‘Im in’ But liked the video. I was trying to make up my mind between the Iron wall & Rock Fortress I think I’m sold on the rock fortress the other is just too small for me and my grandkids. Small enough to put up by myself but big enough for 3-4 . Just wish they had a screen similar to the one they have for the iron wall.
Always good to see Maggie 😀, thanks for the review, so far I haven't heard anything bad about OneTigress so I'm looking at the smaller one, looking forward to your next video 🤙🤙🤙
