Hot Toys Armored Batman 2 0 Preview | Is This Needed? 

It is more needed than another Iron Man, Spiderman or SW Trooper...

I am happy to see a 2.0 coming out! Since I am a newer collector and missed out on this I can add this to my collection

Oh man. This is pretty dope. I wonder if this will be a precursor to seeing a possible Wonder Woman or my personal hope, Superman 2.0! Fingers crossed

I like the fact that you can swap out the pieces to make it battle damaged, essentially getting 2 figures in one

Never be disappointed with 2.0's. Every one might not be for you but should get you excited about the possibility for others. When I seen this my first thought was maybe with these zs line we might just actually get that batfeckmobile they teased years ago.

I ordered the standard version of the 2.0. I don't need the deluxe edition at all. As you already mentioned, the diorama display takes up a lot of space. I won't use the damaged helmet anyway. And the damaged armor isn't worth paying almost €80-90 for. As for the kryptonite spear, since I also ordered the Superman figure from Inart, it will also come with the spear. I'll give it to Batman and combine them both for a display.

This figure looks great. I like the battle damage better, as it shows his been battling with Superman. I would use the battle damaged in the day, and light-up helmet at night.

As just getting back into the 1/6 scale collecting game - this is a great reveal. And an instant purchase. And I hope that the BvS Superman is announced soon!

I got the Black Chrome version. At first I thought, I don't need want it since I already have an armored Batman. But the more I looked at it, the armor color is different and I want the battle damage look. I ended up pre-ordering it. I am keeping the Black Chrome version since I don't think they will make version 2 of that. lol

I think they're doing this before Inart announces it. Since they (Inart) announced BVS Superman.

Yes! I need it. I missed out first time around and didn’t feel like going secondary on it. So this was a pleasant surprise! That being said… if they feel like doing DC, it suuuuuuuure would be nice if they put out the Arkham Knight Nightwing. 😭 I don’t like being teased.

It's so funny that this one along with the other Batman suit from Ben Affleck looks like him but that honeycomb suit from The Flash you wonder who in the world is that😂😂

great figure by hot toys! the battle damage version is fire and adds more flavor to the collection imo.

I have to agree with you on this one. Not enough of a difference to warrant 2.0. There are many figures that are in more need of a 2.0 than this.

The question if it's needed really depends on the longevity of a collector if you've been collecting long and you already have the original you would think just as you said why do we need this could we move on to something new but if you're a collector like myself that scene figures like this and wanted to buy them but couldn't afford them and now that we're in this game we can it's nice to get a secondary version of buying the original one that cost a lot more money

I am so happy that they made a 2.0 of this figure I had a feeling that it was going to happen when they gave us the other Batman figure and I was hoping that they would do this needless to say I will be picking this up next week but now this gets me wondering should I pursue to getting the two pack Nightmare Batman and Superman or should I wait to see if that Nightmare Batman 3.0 will be created by itself

Like I said before this is the year of 2.0 we don't have a lot of new stuff coming so they are dusting off some of their old items that sell well and they're putting in some new features or stuff that they wanted to do originally but they didn't have the license I'm hoping that we get some 2.0 figures from the first Suicide Squad cuz I want that daddy's little monster Harley Quinn and Deadshot

As a newer collector who missed out on the original release this is exciting but I do see your point about how collecting backwards may not be worth it as much anymore since you never know what’s gonna get reissued next. Too early to tell if that’s a positive or negative.

I don’t think they doing all the justice league characters. Just the Batman v Superman characters

I never bought any of the original batflecks (or justice league for that matter)... for me it started with the Knghtmare/Black Suit Sup combo and Cyborg on deep daily deal discounts @ SS, then found OG flash and aquaman at comic stores, then bought the 2.0 Tactical and anniv WW all with the mission of recreating the final victory Snyder Cut scene with the six of them standing on top of the reactor wall. I have since been lured by the original batfleck 2.0 a few months back and now this. I will also be pressed to resist if a new red and blue suit sups is offered since I only have the black suit from the knightmare combo. Like you said thought, if I already bought all the justice league originals, would probably disregard this. Not the case with the Artisan sparrow, had DX06 and the new one made both him and 15 look silly IMHO so that one is a clear worthwhile buy for everyone because of how long its been and how much technique at HT with sculpts and outfits has improved. Just my 2 cents but to each their own. Cheers!

Graeme, I am surprised (and disappointed) you haven't appeared yet wearing a Batman costume. I guess there are true fans, and then there is...you. 🤣🤣 (just kidding..............................or am I?) He looks cool, but don't understand how he could have glowing white eyes. If I were a Batman nerd I would want him in my collection. It's a shame the base has a name plate on it - otherwise it would be great to use with other figures as well.

Noone "needs" these figures. You want them. Imagine if u didnt have a HT u'd get evicted from your house? I'm so tired of Hot toys reissuing figures not long after they gave us the first version. In this case it may be a bit longer time than with others though. But what really bothers me are these "exclusive" versions with extra bits. Thats why I'm transitioning more and more towards Inart. They give you everything! Just look at their Superman! No, Hot toys are getting sloppy. They still make great figures but for me they always mess something up and you still have to "fix" your figure with a custom made thing, that shouldn't be considering the price points of these figures.

Love this. Now we just need a Clooney Batman.

Dear Howard Chan, your business is tanking because you over produce and you destroy collectibility by trying to cash in on the aftermarket prices. Please just focus on producing your figures within a few months instead of years because you keep going back to old IPs over and over. You have too much competition now with Inart and now JND with better and more realistic headsculpts. Soon they will outbid you for more popular IPs and you will see your business fail.
