@@sleepyfu the civic is without modifications to the engine the driver is talking about the current ae86 swap 4age more elaborate than the civic the civic has always beaten the ae86 to touge battle!!
Both the cars moved like a magnet being followed by a piece of iron. It's os good to see both the drivers enjoying the spirit of racing in the midst of intense race
Right catches him on inside he points and laughed as to say aha I’m catching you this race is like 2 best freinds driving for the joy not to see who’s faster
From what I’ve heard, this is literally the same car they recorded the SFX for Takumi’s 86 from. Tsuchiya was also working as a consultant on the anime.
sorry for this and I'd sound like a rwdditor but its a 7a block with the black top 20valve but in the anime idk maybe it is a 4a but they all almost soind identical
A demonstration of Keiichi Tsuchiya's high-speed drift competing against a car that takes the corner with an orthodox "grip" technique. Simply amazing...
It's faster when you don't need to conserve the tyres because it's only a 3 lap race and you have a compromised suspension setup without downforce, racing against an understeering FWD
the AE6 still looks good after all these years. its aged well. cant say the same will happen for most of the new cars on the market today.fun little race to watch, would of loved to know what they were saying, the AE6 guy is so funny in his other videos. even tho he has several NSX's. every video i see him drive a AE6 he gets so happy.iv not done the research, had to of been one of his first cars, for so much love to come through with out trying. i have the same relation ships to old vw bugs..
@@ValentineC137 Not true. With a proper suspension setup and enough guts, you can drift an FF car, though it does require a considerable amount of skill.
@@a_toyota_sprinter_trueno_a7578 Calling you and the search is mystery. Standing on my feet. It's so hard when I try to be me uoooh! Deja vu. I've just been in this time before. Higher on the street And I know it's my place to go. Calling you… Well now you do
I didn't say that the EK9 is completely stock, but clearly the 86 is more tuned. Don't get me wrong, I love both cars. I just find it not entirely fair.
great video. haven't seen good Japanese racing in the last 8,9 years. glad to catch up again . Japanese motors and transmissions r just a bastard to try to kill. small engines with plenty of power that can turn hard corners with the gas pedal to the floor. The best.
What everyone doesn't realize is that the b16 comes stock with about 60hp more which is a lot for these little 1.6l even if keiichi has the 7ag just cams would make that Honda fair and I bet it has a lot more than cams
Everyone is talking about the AE86, but the civic was pretty impressive too. Once the 86 passed the civic, the EK9 did a decent job staying on the 86's tail for most of the track
Wtf is wrong with the mx5? It's a lightweight yet powerful car designed to be fun to drive, I just don't understand that statement.. If you say mercedes slk OK. Mg F OK. Fiat barchetta OK. But for the god sake don't compare mx5 to thing it isn't about
Thatd be sick if they reproduced them (exactly how they were, no new technological enhancements) and sold them around the world again. EK9, RX7, R32-34, AE86, MR2..etc. What id give to get my hands on a brand new unmolested car listed above
