Thanks, this was perfect. At first you think reading the instructions might be faster but this kind of guidance that you can just follow is way better and faster. Also, check if there's anything obstructing the exhaust outside if it wasn't a water shut off thing that caused it.

To reset it, I’ve held those buttons together for like 3 minutes and got no flashing green. Am I supposed to grab a lawn chair and hold it for longer?

I would try Pulling the power & hold for 20seconds. Then put in back in.

Sorry but the whole gas valve will have to be replaced. Mine shuts off after 2 to 3 days, I will be replacing it.

It’s going to happen again. You never cleaned the flame sensor. Always call a pro. Rookie move.

It was good for a temporary fix, but eventually replaced my water heater.
