There's two small things I've discovered. 1. When in a time trial, if you mess up a boost start don't press anything after the countdown ends, your boost will fill to max for a second or so before you press accelerate. 2. There is a slipstream mechanic when in races, it doesn't make you drive faster but you will recharge your boost faster when driving close behind another vehicle.
Something that's really overlooked in this game and it's a hidden stat is the weight on the cars .... some cars flip over so easy and that shit will cost you the race
I'm so not used to having such competitive AI 100% thru the race that I literally had to start the game on Easy till I got myself some proper cars, just so that I can have a chance against Normal xD I ain't even thinking about going above that, ain't got the time to "git gud" and I got myself the game so I can enjoy in it, not for it to make me a sweaty nutcase.

For showing off those short cuts, cause I have been STRUGGLING with these time trials, I mean most of the ones I’ve gotten so far by just powering through and being as precise as possible in my turns going around and around the tracks making faster and faster times, and it’s been a grind. But having a short cut really would help me a lot.
Good tips! 2 of those shortcuts are track time trials Im having issues with. Somehow I did do one without the shortcut but you have to be flawless. Also on tip #2. When I got the Audi Quattro it made a lot of the time trials much more manageable. That car is well balanced in drift and has 5-6 boots slots which you need. Has a tendency to flip if you hit walls but its a 50/50 gamble when that happens at least with me anyway. The 422 which unlocks for free after getting all secrets unlocked I believe is a great car for drifting but will flip more often if you slam it into walls. But again that's just my experience.
I didn't knew about the boost off! Now everything makes sense, tysm. The rest is perfectly fine, a thing i would consider is that weight matters, for example, the snoopy car sucks because it's top heavy.
Another great car is Synkro. The speed may not be good, but the handling. Oh boy, the handling. It's really steery. It's from a free Christmas DLC, really worth a shot.
Yeah, I’m at that point I’m struggling with time trials!! I will look up for shortcuts to reduce time, I thought I had to get a super treasure car to complete those trials. Great tips 👍🏻
Very helpful thank you. Just got this game for PC 2 days ago. It’s a lot of fun. But it is not !, Dirt 2 rally or Formula 1!!. At the very beginning thinking I could use my accelerator to run round the track, just using boost to overtake was a complete failure!!, lol !. It constantly needs, accelerator, boost , accelerator, boost all the time to keep your car up with the pack. And then having to contend with sliding round bends and jumping. It is a steep learning curve I have to say. But if you can master the techniques it’s a whole lot of fun!.
Exactly it’s been a while since I’ve had a game challenge me like this. Reminds me of the old days when things were just difficult and you had to figure it out.

I started on hard and oh boy does it make it feel like a 90’s game . It’s nice yet so hard too xD . I’m managing though that Gucci beginning car is nice
I struggled with that particular one with the table too, I did eventually notice that I could drive on the table, on the same lap I beat the unleashed time without it lol
Upgrading certain cars lowers boost?? And why can you not see the stats when buying a car in the store? I just bought a car that I loved the look of but it has terrible stats and I won’t use it
In all honesty , I can easily say that ive never won a race offline contingent with me boosting off the line. I havent done multiplayer tho. Waiting to finish the campaign.
English is not my main language so I got confused at the wording. And there're 2 boosting methods: the one in the video and another one where you mashed boost button to fill the gauge.

Does anyone else have as much issue as I do keep in the damn car going straight I mean my car is always weaving left and right because I can't get it to go straight and always having to correct myself. I actually ended up having to quit the game when they started taking away the guardrails and making you drive on narrow pieces of wood because of all the racing games I play this is the only one I can't keep the car straight
i've always played racing games, i used to be really good at them... then i tried this game.. the tutorial race seems too easy, then first real race, i already had a fast car, i tought it was a kid game so i would have been easy.. so i set the difficulty to normal which seems ok to me, BUT, I HAD TO SET IT BACK TO EASY AND I STILL CAN'T GET OVER 5th IN THE 2nd RACE?!?! HOW IN THE HELL?!
This game is literally too fucking hard. Like seriously, they baited us on the first 2 races and EVERY race after that you need to play perfectly to even get 2nd
It's better to boost just before you land as sometimes if you boost before the jump the speed and trajectory will propel you over well beyond the track you're supposed to land on. If you boost as you land your car is already nose down so will boost straight into the landing rather then get launched off the track.
Someone knows something about magnetic floors? I have to boost on them? I can’t understand what is different and why they exist, there should be a reason!!
@@iamMisterBo Bro any would be nice. For example: "The Best: with special appearance by Buns of Steel." - I've won a couple Quick races with that car. Still locked. Are you suppose to finish the whole campaign with it or something?! "Mission: Top Secret" - even better. Confusing as fuck
@@RanOvaT There should be a race somewhere on the map called 'The Best' do that with Buns and come first. As for Top Secret that will unlock after all other secret nodes have been completed.
@@iamMisterBo tbh it's best to leave the secrets till after you beat all 5 bosses, then you're certain you'll be able to knock all 9 out without any issues Oh, and make sure you get to the "end points" as you're exploring the map(where you get a loot box and 1-2 rewards marked "?", those often give you the cars you need for the secrets)
This game is unnecessarily difficult for no reason. Completely takes the fun and joy out of it. I've been playing racing games all my life and I struggle with just about every race. Definitely don't see children playing this game. Hot Wheels fucked up with this one...yeah it looks good, but that's about it. SOOOO glad I ddnt buy it when it came out like I wanted to.
