I just realized that this isn't bug but a feature: by "executing" enemies you applies less damage to them, otherwise by punching them with blunt weapons you can broke their arms/whatever.
It would seem so inane that a writer down on his luck managed to incapacitate or break the bones of a subway full of thugs if not for one of the intros to one of beard's levels where evan takes a picture of beard and jacket, possibly implying that evan served in the military at one point.
btw there is a trick you can do, although EXTREMELY difficult, on the second floor if the enemy just below you at the start of the floor spawns with a pistol, you can dodge all 15 of his bullets by backing away from him and swaying left and right over and over, you'll pull if off after the 100th try and it isn't a good strategy at all it just looks cool, I'd record and upload it I just don't have the means of doing it, I supposed you could do this on any level with a pistol enemy but this is the only one where I had space to pull it off
Hotlline Miami 2 "Cool Strats" are totally a thing though. See: The hallway full of windows on death wish that Corey can roll through %50 of the time if you time it PERFECTLY
@@salmon_wine you can actually roll through that hallway in deathwish as Corey 95% of the time if you know how to do it right, I'll explain, as soon as you clear the first room of two melee guys grab a knife and go to the door on the right and start your roll through it as soon as you are in the middle of the door frame and as you hold the roll all the way through until you reach the door with the windows, instantly kill the guy to your right and grab his AK and begin shooting and running to the left and that's a very fun way to start that level, I've full comboed many times to where I'm used to rolling down that hallway Bonus In execution on the second floor you can roll through the large middle room full of weed from left to right with a knife (the trailer shows Corey rolling through from bottom to top but that's just the easy way, this way puts you in the room with gun enemies and handling that is difficult but it's totally style points when you do it this way
