Good choice. If they had moved way out there in the woods I may have thought "serial killer"! Having her travel 11k miles then getting her alone in the woods! Whew! Glad that didn't happen. Best of luck to them both.
the real estate agent was on a recent HHI with her husband and 5 year old son. After they chose their house she told us she became an agent, so I'm happy to see it's still working out. But how funny is it that now Caz works there as well? We should all move to Whitianga and work there!
House 1 is really beautiful but super small and cramped like. It is definitely more rural for sure. House 2 is really beautiful and spacious. That balcony is wonderful for sure. House 3 is spacious but really dated and older for sure. It is more expensive but a wonderful beach home.
I can't help but be concerned by his comment about the little mini-house, "It's plenty of room for us," "It's plenty of room for us." I want to say, "Speak for yourself! That's not enough room for a LOT of people." Sure, house 1 was super cute and the outside was gorgeous but it was better as a vacation house if both of the people in the couple aren't agreed on it. Glad that he said that her happiness was more important since she moved there for him.
exactly! i live in netherlands and one of the compulsory condition to rent a property is that you have to earn income at the minimum amount set by the real estate agent. but yeah, i don't how it is in NZ. Or maybe this is just scripted, so they actually already have a job then they search for a house.
I'm sure if you pay a large enough deposit they will work with you. After all, a retiree or someone with significant savings can certainly demonstrate "income" even if that takes a form other than wages.
Glad he gave her what she wanted because I'm inclined to think that if she was willing to make such an enormous sacrifice in moving halfway around the world leaving everything she knew and loved behind with no family support close by just to be with him then he should be willing to compromise since it's a massive adjustment for her. It could also be the stupidest thing she's ever done since she hardly knows him & he could turn out to be a real whack job who eventually wants to isolate her then . . . 😈😳 lol) Once she's had time to adjust then maybe they can consider moving to something that they can both enjoy later on.
PS. This episode above all others shows that the show is obviously scripted to a point. Some of the things he said were so unnatural to him & it was abundantly clear.
@@6ixConfessions Yes - the programme builds up the differences between a couple for the sake of the drama. In this case I suspect that the differences were minimal. The rural bach might have been fine for a holiday but I don't think he ever had any thought of leaving her there day after day with no transport while he was off at work - as he made clear with the last house.
in auck your looking at 2400 p/month "minimum", if your lucky you might find something rare for 2000 p/month with views nothing like what you have in whitianga....id pay 1500 p/month for that last property (if i could find work there)
