Tough love is making him pay it back and earned his trust and respect back. Tough love is making him do work around the fire house and getting a restraining order against Kenny so he couldn’t be around Malik. Making him have to survive two years in jail is too tough.
@@DevoePwhat if Malik would’ve pulled that same stunt on a stranger you think that stranger would’ve went easy on Malik uncle Curtis was trying to show him what would happen if he kept that up so happens that judge was a racist so he got him back out a stranger wouldn’t had done that
@@lakeishacaples7871it’s not what if. Malik wasn’t doing all that. That’s the point. It wasn’t a big lesson he messed up and knew and wasn’t going to do it again. You reaching with this. Just like Curtis hence why the clear storyline is he was wrong
Though Malik said he was sorry, sometimes people need to understand that sorry is not always enough for whatever actions they did and that it can lead to serious consequences
I agreed. Also sorry doesn't get the motorcycle fixed & apologies doesn't bring anybody back(just for example). So he gonna have to live with that & also he should've been going to intervention program aka scared straight.
@@jonathanhamiltonjrbigjohn2409 CJ so soft and lost it's sad I'm like bro you black you know how black fathers operate real fathers how you not on the same page
@@andrew5traindollartree700 You're missing the point. Malik and Kyle had no business stealing Curtis's motorcycle. Regardless of Curtis being reckless with his money, it was HIS motorcycle. I understand Malik was sorry. But sorry is not always gonna cut it. As much as I despise Curtis in this episode, I do get him. Malik needed to learn his lesson and not get a pat on the back. CJ has been too lenient with his kids. Curtis did what he had to do to keep Malik from going down the wrong path. Curtis is a dickhead but you cannot say he's not a good uncle. Curtis is a good man.
@@andrew5traindollartree700 Uncle Curtis Was Just Tryna Teach Malik A Lesson Judge Gave Malik 2 Years But, Curtis Convinced State To Drop Charges If Malik Did That To A Stranger Then He Woulda Just Had To Go Down Cus The Real World Don't Play
@@andrew5traindollartree700 So it doesn't matter that doesn't mean he should do whatever he please just because I mean he's old enough to understand at least
Curtis was right, but wrong for how he went about it. Pride comes before the fall and that was the last straw for Ella. There is a certain point where you’re no longer supporting your spouse. You’re just enabling bad behavior.
He was wrong low iq. Malik literally wasn’t going to do nothing like this and haven’t since. Curtis doesn’t know how to be a proper parent lmao that’s the whole point of this episode and Calvin
Malike stole the bike and he needed to take accountability for his actions say if it was a stranger he could have been shot or killed he needed to understand what he did was wrong and miss me with he was a child he was a man when he stole that bike that his grown ass uncle bought for himself but Curtis was blamed
CJ needs to learn soft parenting does not work for every child and clearly it does not work on Malik it's past time to whoop that ass, everybody is using his mother being on drugs as an excuse for his bad behavior except his Uncle Curtis this is the second time he stole something that wasn't his No one got hurt but him and his stupid friend but what if they would have killed somebody Will we still be talking about being lenient on Malik then I think not
Ok, screw these oversensitive people that were obviously never disciplined when they did something wrong, that are defending Malik. Actions have consequences, Ella & CJ were soft, they werent gonna punish him, & Curtis was right to do what he did. Malik wouldnt pull shit like stealing a motorcycle, again.
Exactly The real world has consequences it isn't enough to say I'm sorry when you've taken someone's life or destroyed someone's property that you have no way of paying back or stealing, guess what that's another burden you've put on your father who's going to have to pay your uncle back for that motorcycle you and your new friend Kyle destroyed
Also Curtis could have sued CJ and Kyle's aunt for the money so they would have been ordered by the court to pay restitution for his destroyed property in this way Curtis could have shown Malik his actions don't just affect him but everyone around him
Them 2007-2008 episodes of House of Payne use to be real good back in the day. I remembered the show being so popular when it first aired on TBS. This was one of my favorite episodes smh I felt so bad for Malik and I was happy af when Ella kicked Curtis out because he was the doing the most for real.
Curtis may have went overboard a little but he’s kinda right you can’t still people shit and not be held accountable say they did still a stranger motorcycle and wrecked it umm hello you going to jail so I do understand the lesson nobody doesn’t care about that sob story everybody got problems
Exactly act like he the only one in the world with problems I've had multiple family members with drug problems and family members that have been in and out of the jail system for years, everybody wants to blame someone else for their actions or use the excuse he's just a kid well he was man enough to steal his uncle's motorcycle and the time he stole those walkie talkies with Kevin
Curtis was right actions have consequences i dont care if hes a teenager hes old enough to know right from wrong just because there family doesnt mean he doesn't have the right to press charges
I wasnt happy with ella because she got mad at cj , because he didn't overlook the help center fire codes , that would have been dangerous ( could gotten people killed.)in one espiode. And cj would have lost his job.
I love Curtis and I get what he was trying to do but I’m on Ella side with this one. Insurance rates goes up when you have under age kids in the house just because it’s a possibility that they may borrow the car or worse take it without permission. Curtis had a motorcycle of all things with 2 kids in the house. ( Almost like having a loaded gun) To make matters worse the kids mother at the time is battling drug addiction . Are we forgetting the fact that social services was called on the kids too. All the responsibility to raise them the best way felt on Ella, CJ and Curtis. Curtis should have got rid of that motorcycle from the get go. It’s like when Calvin got chewed out by his father for running in the burning building , putting CJ life in jeopardy. Curtis didn’t tolerate that saying CJ got two kids. What do you got? The responsibility will fall on Curtis and Ella if something happened to CJ. The point is when you are married you don’t make decisions by yourself. Ella wouldn’t allow CJ or Curtis to have a motorcycle just based on the risk. You already a Fire fighter, it’s like playing russian roulette.
You do know Curtis gave cj a chance to punish him correctly but he didn’t cj never punish them kids that’s why jasmine had a smart ass mouth and was rude to her principal
@@lakeishacaples7871 It’s a proven fact that people that get put through the system will become part of the system. This can backfire on so many levels. Curtis is married and not once did he consult Ella on discipline. However, CJ did. If he wanted to make his own choices then he shouldn’t have got married. Jasmine yes has a smart mouth but at the same time she kept Malik out a lot of trouble( With that mouth). She trying to be the mother figure without having one of her own.
Keep it in mind Curtis allowed them stay in his house and malik steal crashes his motorcycle which cost more than a arm and a leg to fix Im pressing charges as well
I don’t know why but regardless if Curtis bought it Malik and Kyle had no Business taking his motorcycle they don’t have no license and it wasn’t theirs to begin with Malik better glad it wasn’t nobody else’s because it would been bigger trouble
@@Pops34100 actually it's was Kyle's fault but you're right about Malik's fault by being a possibly wannabe street gangster like Kyle by talking streets & didn't pull his pants up & by the way it was Kyle's idea to steal Curtis's motorcycle & possibly got Malik into the mess.
@@tylercarr6320 he brought motorcycle to his house in the first place. Ella got bad feeling about bring motorcycle in house. Ella tried to warn Curtis but he didn't listen to her. He didn't shut this situation down early. So Curtis got Malik and Kyle arrested by police after they stole motorcycle and joyride. I agree with Ella's facts about don't bring motorcycle at house in first place.
Malik just made a mistake Curtis went too far to me it's Curtis's own fault from leaving the motorcycle out and Ella made right move I would tell him to"Get out and never come back" Curtis is just one of those types of people that have lack of common senese.
Curtis went overboard there was another way atleast have him stay locked up in a holding cell for a few days to give him a lil scare or Beyond scare straight not actually send him to jail this was his first offence then put on punishment for a while after.
Or He sues CJ and Kyle's aunt in court wins and they have to pay for his destroyed motorcycle showing Malik and Kyle their actions have tangible consequences besides the fact Curtis already told them not to touch his motorcycle this was not a suggestion it was a command
