One of the best scenes was seeing the twin (Ser Erryk) bring Viserys’ crown to Rhaenyra and pledge allegiance to her. Placing her father’s crown upon her head allowed the gravity of the situation to become real for her, as she stepped into her role as Queen Rhaenyra!

Not the Hot Wheels dragon purchased at Toys 'R Us 🤣 I needed this, because Lucerys' death brought out my maternal instincts and I've been sad about it all day. It wasn't this bad in the book, but seeing the actor and the little CGI hot wheels dragon brought to life made me feel more. You're awesome, Kev! RayRay lost her father, and 2 kids in one episode. Her brother didn't want to do it but couldn't control his dragon after his lil baby dragon blew sparky smoke at him. Vhagar got tough old dinosaur skin tho and got pissed. That's why he snatched him and the young one up for insulting his intelligence with that lil fire he blew. He gobbled them up like a whale eating a tic tac.

HotD though is like "we going all in with this budget! look at the costumes and heraldry, make the castles look like the books, light up the Conqueror's table with fire who cares if it didn't do that in GoT, and add a weirwood in the Red Keep's Godswood just because." If Winterfell has its double walls and is massive i will be happy.
I felt so bad for Rhea Rhea the whole episode. The first strike was her receiving news of Viscerys Bidens death after two days of him having already died. Then strike two was Big Otto coming up to her trying to propose “peace”. Strike three was baby Luke being killed. Also somebody needs to tell Aemond we don’t renege around here, when that eye was snatched out he said they were even-he got a dragon from it. Overall, this is chaos y’all 😂😂
We know it's "on" because when she turned around she didn't even cry. It's like vengeance overpowered all the sadness. She not goin to cry until it's over.

Regarding Daemon's non-reaction, it appears it's what the men do during pregnancies, during this time-- wait for word and make decisions, when "needed", mostly. I also wondered if his reaction to Rhaenyra's difficult labor/loss was related to him losing Laena and the baby. Fear? 🤷🏽♀️
I thought the same thing. I think he was scared to see how much pain Rhae was in and knew what was coming. Daemon definitely does not show his emotions.
I feel like the wouldve made him choose to save either rhaenyra or the baby which is why he prolly aint go speak to the maester. Didnt want to be presented with that choice. rae rae a goat for getting the dead child out by herself though
Both boys were only half Targaryan which may have made the difference in how each dragon responded to their rider. Rhenys is an adult and full Targaryan with more mature control over her dragon.
@@satwilliams Rhenys is half Baratheon. Rhaenyra even references it when she told Luke that the Baratheons would receive him because his grandmother (Rhenys, even though we know she ain't his granny), is part Baratheon. Rhaenyra's mom was also half Arryn.
I think the dragons feed off the energy the rider is given but don't necessary understand "pretend fighting". Luc was terrified so the dragon protected him. And Aemond is a angry man boy so his dragon feed off that. Also Aemond dragon is 180yrs old it knows Aemond is not in control. Lucs dragon is only 14yr old and never been in any fight.
Hi Kev great non review as always. I cried last night. R.I.P. Luke and Arrax 😢. I hate Aemond so much, I don’t hate Vhagar bcuz she was taking her emotions from Aemond. She was geared up and ready to go from the way Aemond was acting and he tho he could control her just like that. That shot of Vhagar flying over Arrax was freaking awesome and scary at the same time. I jumped when she came out of nowhere and ate them 😢. That birthing scene was so disgusting I covered my face, I didn’t even see the baby all the way, it probably had scales and a tale 😂. Next season should be good, Rhea Rhea will be out for some human blood her brothers and Lukemis Aemond’s nephew btw not cousin Beala and Rhenea are Aegon and Aemond’s cousins. They say Luc may not be dead, in the books their we're 3 accounts of what happened. He may have fallen in the water and loses his memory. They only showed his clothes not his blood or body parts. A girl can hope right!!!

And when Ray Ray told everyone to leave the room because Daymeon was outwardly disagreeing with her strategy, Rayniece strolled out last with a smirk on her face? This season was so 🔥🔥🔥
She could not bend the knee without the pledge of her husband (something about they had to both be in agreement plus she wasn’t head of the Valerian house” now as far as her smirking while walking out I think personally she was living bicuriously through Rhy she was proud of her strength to continue to unite the realm and not agreeing to break the Realm while Demond was ready to burn it down. Where in a world Rhynese was use to men calling the shots and now even though they did not crown her and name her the queen that never was, she is now witnessing “the QUEEN” with total power not ruling like men want her to rule. While the king was dying, he was talking about John snow, but he thought he was talking to Ray Ray not Alicecent. Targaryens are not immune to fire that was just something Dan and Dave came up with. In the books Daenerys came out of fire just that one time she entered the pyre. In the books she is not immune to fire. Targaryens can withstand hot temperatures than other people but not fire immunity.
Targaryens aren't fire proof but they do have a higher tolerance for heat. That was something the GoT writers did to Daneryrs but it's not in the books except for the one time she burned the witch

I really feel like Queen Aemma & Princess Laena could've just been having Braxton-Hicks contractions which the maesters didnt know about yet. They showed the baby because everyone who read the books and watch GOT wanted to see the scales and how the baby would look. In the books it says the baby had scales like a dragon.
