I’m going to watch the rest of the season, but good god that show needs a new wig fitter next season. Rhaenyra is the only one who doesn’t look ridiculous. Daemon looks better with the shorter hair now but I’m struggling to not have my immersion destroyed by the dreadlocks and Viserys’ wigs.

Some kings made decisions that changed the course of everything, like Aegon the younger, over a personal experience that affected them. There are no perfect kings in this story.

@@stryher yea true but they a lot of jump in times and I think they will be 3 season of this show they have four major event in dance of dragons chocked people; death of jacarys by Aemon, death of Alicent grandson by Cheese, death of Rheanys the queen who never was by Aegon, battle and the death of Aemon and Deamon, and the brutal death of Rheanyra by her half brother (will definitely in the last season). After maybe I want to too fast but 3 season for this show is perfect or at least 4 not more. People is very disappointed of the 8 season of GoT so…

Seeing as they will span The Dance of Dragons, doubt it. First season is build up. Then the actual war lasts 2 years only. Unless they finish that in S2 and use 3-5 to make the jumps to Roberts Rebellion. But that would imo be sad to cramp such jumps into few episodes as there's so much happening between now and Roberts Rebellion.

I'm really sad to be losing Milly.. but I think Emma D'Arcy is going to be great. And no disrespect to Emily Carey, but I'm actually REALLY looking forward to seeing Olivia Cooke in the role of Alicent Hightower. Been so in love with her since Bates Motel and she was fantastic in Sound of Metal and Little Fish.

I think it's a miss direct the hair color. If brown is dominate, then why doesn't Alicent kids have brown hair as she does? Things are not as they seem. He also keeps referring to Aegon as Alicent blood and Rhea as his blood his child, strange

And on the other hand, her only example of a King is a man who sucks at it. Rhaenyra knows that, so she's trying to do the opposite from what her father would do. Add to that Daemon's "lessons", and you get a recipe for disaster.

@@Rosula_D There were some sage advice from people around her which she spurned away with her "idgaf" attitude. She was told to make allies which she didn't do because she is the "rightful heir". Even Daemon, the scourge of the commers, told her to care about what the common people thought about her. Again, she couldn't care less about their opinions. Granted she was fighting an uphill battle trying to prove that a woman can be a competent ruler in the Westerosi society but her actions didn't help her case at all. If she made allies early on, won the hearts of the people, and didn't sleep around she just might have made it.

Nah im 100% sure they marry each other. It was a scene in the trailers that seem to be old valyria style wedding. Plus the plot wouldn't really move otherwise becouse it would actually be Rhaenyra sons with Daemon that will rule the iron throne.

Genetics. Silver hair is probably recessive, so if Alicent has an grandparent or great-grandparent who had silver hair, it’s entirely possible her for her children to end up with it.

Genetics are definitely very convenient in this universe. Rhaenyra has brunette kids so that it's obvious that they are not actually Laenors. While somehow Alicent gets all silver haired kids.

Honestly I would have expected at least one child of three having silver hair, usually the eldest kid takes after the dad but usually second kid takes after mom. It is not a fixed rules but genetics do show this.

Their roles are complicated and difficult, especially Rhaenyra after she went mad, plus that she died at 33 years old, Alicent was even older. So the series will need the actresses who are mature and have experiences to carry on. For example, young actresses could easily played Sansa or Margaery but these girls would not able to take such a role like Cersei (Cersei was at the same age as Rhaenyra in GoT)

Rhaenyra's children have LESS Valyrian blood in them, then Alicent's children (Rhae is not full targeryan since her mother was half "Arryn" and Strong has no Valeryan blood at all. So her children will have even less blood of the dragon 🐲 ) which might be why the Valyrian hair and eyes are not expressed.

Everything her father has done up until her marriage was to secure her place as heir and she threw that all away. Self sabotage, who needs a queen like that? Are you willing to have a leader who's willing to risk everything just for her own pleasure? Her country comes first, her duties come first. The least she could do was father her children with her husband or with a man who would have guarantee her children would look like her and her husband. Her husband has a younger brother, cousins of his own and uncles, one of them could have fathered her children and on her days off she could have bed whoever else she wants. This was rhe initial plan, why stray away from it. She can't even commit to a good plan.
