I agree it is a cool story and could be the true orign of Dany’s eggs based on some textual evidence. I just go by GRRM’S mantra of the “show is the show, the books are the books” in this regard. Maybe the writers were worried that the show-only audience will not get the reference to a relatively obscure character like Elissa Farman. So it makes it more simpler to streamline the story of how Dany got her eggs by connecting it to another prominent show character like Rhaenyra who is her ancestor.

The way the actress delivered the line seemed a bit awkward to me but I guess when some random weirdo just tells you you’re gonna die there’s no way for it to not catch you off guard lol.

FWIW, I follow a Scottish reactor couple, and they immediately said, "Oh, she's Scottish."

I use she/they pronouns (Ash) and I think Aziz is pretty consistent with Emma's at this point and Sean is getting better, but tbh they are often referring to Rhaenyra the character not the actor Emma and end up slipping up when going between the two. There have certainly been times I thought of correcting Sean but realized he was moreso referring to Rhaenyra herself. Responding since I do take this seriously; I think they each try their hardest. Also... how cool is it that we have so many characters played by nb actors - Rhaenyra, Rhaena, Alicent...

Come on. With how many channels there are out there that don't care you can't pick on these guys about it. Aziz immediately corrected Sean and he recognized it and fixed it. And when referring to the character Rhaenyra you would use she/her. Why would you feel alienated when they are clearly trying?

@HistoryofWesteros Thanks for this response. I didn't want to specifically put anyone on the spot but yes you and Aziz are on it with pronouns and I do really appreciate that. I'm totally agree that it's appropriate to use she/her pronouns when referring to Rhaenyra the character, but I definitely felt that Emma as an actor was misgendered more than once, despite attempted correction. As I said I'm not looking to put any particular person under fire, it's just something I've noticed before and it seems to be a continuing pattern. I do understand that if you're not used to it it can be a little tricky to wrap your head around at first. I'm sure it will improve but naturally it's an issue close to my own heart it does leave me feeling somewhat uncomfortable. I imagine there is a reasonably high contingency of queer viewers and members of the fandom, which is why I spoke up. Thanks again for the work you all put in, I do love your content 🧡
