I enjoyed the show. Not gonna lie. It's far better than last couple of seasons. And overall better than last 4 seasons of thrones. But yes it lacks that substance of first 4 seasons of thrones. Anyway I'd give it a solid 7.5-8/10. Video is hilarious nonetheless.

I do put a lot if time into editing, so glad you noticed that :) The idea is to not take each nitpick too seriously, while still pointing out the scope of the show's inadequacy. Some people really like it, but I guess the show isn't trending anymore.

Something a youtuber named glidus does. But i understand you did not liked it. But for what reason. I don't see any? "Half of them don't hatch".just a normal line and you compare it to that shitloads of dialogues of last couple of seasons. Something like " A finger in the bum" Or some other cock jokes. I don't know how could you not see a good stuff man!!! Just admit it it's not bad. It's good. And how tf show could be trending after a fking 2-3 months since finale aired. And what shit you speak on these videos does impact your viewers. Just a warning or maybe after sometimes your channel will be pile of ash!

I appreciate the feedback. With this series, I tried a new approach to critiquing; more sarcastic, easy going, as opposed to the serious deep dives of Game of Thrones. HOTD is not a serious show, even though it tries very hard to pretend it is. So taking the show as seriously as GoT didn’t make sense to me, hence the silly presentation. I agree with you that the fandom of this show is wicked, and I can’t help but think that other RU-vidrs must have gotten paid off to like the show, despite it being worse than the worst of GoT.

@@CultureVultureMedia1 I don't think you've made the point that this isn't a serious show, though. I don't think it's as good as a lot of people think, but it's not so ridiculous as to not give it proper critiques, and you do make some. You never clearly say why you don't like the show, so your jokes aren't anchored. I'm a Glidus fan, too, but his Pisstakes work because we know why he's taking the piss out of GOT. One think I can tell that you don't like is the notion of idealogues being historically incorrect to make points about aristocratic women. It's a strange complaint because no fiction based on actual history isn't critically examining it. It never happens. People use history to examine both the past and present according to contemporary beliefs at the time. The entire ASOIAF series is GRRM using history and fantasy to express his anti-war, anti-power mongering, pro-feminist, and humanist beliefs. The difference between acceptance by the audience of Daenarys's , Cersai's, Brienne's, Ygrette's, Arya's, Catelyn's, etc. navigations of their patriarchal cultures and Rhaenyra's, Leana's Alicent's, Rhaenys's, Helaena's, etc. is the difference between the words patriarchy and woke not being as widely used in 2011 as they were in 2022, as well as GOT writing being more show as opposed to HOTD being tell, tell, and tell some more. Daenarys didn't want to marry Drogo and said so. Rhaenyra didn't want to marry an old man or a child and said so. Yet, no one freaked out over Daenarys trying to get out of that marriage or crying during its consummation/rape (Drogo's appearance probably helped to win Daenarys some sympathy). And the resistance to marry and have sex with someone who creeped them out is historically accurate for both men and women. There were laws that protected young brides from having sex too early. Some women so hated their arranged husbands that they encouraged their sons to revolt and replace them. So you have both the objectives of fictions and historic reality supporting stories where medieval era women challenge the status not being at all strange or unrealistic, yet idealogues who try to hide behind fairy tale versions of history don't get called out for being idealogues. The Valaryons turning people inside out for being black runs along similar lines. How do we know how Old Valerya determined ethnicity or nationality? It could be like North and South America where black families existed centuries before many white ones, and yet they're all called Brazilian or American or Argentinian or Cuban. You're not going to find many people in the US who are considered black to not have quite a few white ancestors because of the nature of that country's history. You absolutely will find people of vastly different skin colors (some extremely light) and hair textures being called black because it's less about skin color than about a political demographics. Racism not being a concept on HOTD isn't the same as having a different concept of race or having none. All of this is staring the whole audience right in its faces in actual fact every day, and people still act like the Valaryons looking like Steve Toussaint is more bizarre. Is someone going to remind him that he isn't British? It's just wild for fans of science fiction and fantasy to get so caught up on maintaining the integrity systems that its authors are so often pointing out as failures.

@@LPno.9 Gotcha. Looking back at this video series from a year ago, I can see how my switch from serious critique to non-serious isn't very clear. I thought the format might speak for itself, but perhaps I was wrong. I think you might be reading into some specifics a bit too much. I feel like the writing in HOTD never goes beyond surface level with any of its themes, which is my real problem with it. I did a serious critique of HOTD where I went into detail about this too. I'd be interested to know if that changes your view on my take in this, less serious, video :)
