I think Rhaenys is right on her read on Daemon. He cares for Rhaenyra enough not to overthrow her, but he knew her as a little girl, he can't bring himself to just take orders from that little girl.

Errak and Arrak are actual twins. Errak (Elliott Tittensor) and Arrak (Luke Tittensor) are from the UK and Elliott use to be on the UK original "Shameless" series. He played Carl on that series. I have followed Elliotts career for years. You should check out older pics of them when they both had short hair and clean shaven. They both went from clean shaven pretty boys to looking like lumberjacks lol. Both great actors though.
Plus, the only way out is to go PAST the fighters. They are trained swordsmen, she KNOWS that one can easily lunge for her before she could dodge their sword. As long as they are in FRONT of her where she can see them, she has options. Also, when Loras comes in and puts himself between the fighters and Rhaenyra, she DOES finally turn around and try to flee for the other door, because now there is someone to make sure she doesn't get stabbed in the back. But Arryk locked that door from the outside before he came in from the 2nd door on the far side of the room. She has no way out. Also, Rhaenyra isn't trained for one on one hand to hand combat, she has never had to fight at all. If she WAS trained for anything, it's fighting from dragonback, which puts a lot more distance between you and your enemy. Right now, she is frightened out of her mind, something she hasn't been before in her own home. Of COURSE she is freezing up. She froze up when Daemon got so angry, too, and he just choked her a couple of weeks ago (by show time, anyway...only 10 days passed between the end of last season and the start of this one). It's just a trauma response to freeze up.
Not just that buts its very dangerous to just run off. Youd be giving your back to them and youd be defenseless. You gotta watch and predict their move so to time your exit correctly
I really don’t think you guys have a good grasp on daemon’s character. Especially since you claim that he would’t hurt Rhaenyra, when we’ve quite literally already seen him do it before in the previous season. I know the rest of the argument was cut, but I can only hope after hearing the words from Rhaenyra herself you come to the realization that the only person Daemon ever truly looks out for is himself.
There’s such an intricate tie between Rhaenyra and Alicent, where both come to the realization that there is absolutely no controlling the men in their lives. Even those who claim to care for them will always put their own agenda’s above them, and being women in this world means only having limited ways to grasp for power. Both of them do so in their own ways, and coincidentally or not it will always bring them back to each other.
I have to say I'm really surprised people are wanting the show to pick up the pace when so many complained that the last couple of seasons of GoT were rushed. Now they're actually taking their time building these characters, building the story and people are like yeaaa just get to the war and dragons already lol

He don't know if he abused the poor animal on a regular basis or if it was a one-time response out of anger, but either way this human (shitty as he is) is this dog's source of food and shelter, so naturally the dog will whine on seeing him, trying to get his attention and tell him that he needs food or warmth or whatever. I believe Daemon recognizes Rhaenyra as the rightful queen and heir, I seriously don’t see him trying to steal the throne for himself. BUT, he also believes he’s on equal standing with her. He’ll listen to her orders, yes, but at the same time will take charge to lead in his own right. Even if it’s behind her name.
He’ll listen to her orders if he agrees with them. He just told her to her face that he considers her potential as a ruler to be lesser to her father while he considers his potential to be greater.

You wouldn't have to kill them both, you could question the survivor on the events that occured that day or days leading up to the fight. Mysaria saw the twin's time of arrival so only the "good" twin would have information on the goings on at Dragonstone prior to that.
Alicent is truly a TERRIBLE MOTHER. Cole is the QUEENS GAURD. She is no longer the Queen. Her Daughter Heleana is. And it never crossed her mind to provide her protection. I don't see anything wrong with her sleeping with Cole. But, I do blame her for spending her entire life solely focused on, Aegon stealing Rhaeneras throne. And years later, doing the exact same thing, with the exact same man, causing the exact same situation. Thanks to Alicent and Otto, no woman can inherit the throne. It was hinted in the dialogue during season1 (between Mysaria and Daemon on Dragonstone-when he pretended he was going to marry her) that Mysaria had been a slave as a child. So her scar is from the collar that she was forced to wear in one of the cities that Daenerys frees in later seasons of GoT.

I doubt they had enough time to make completely new armor between the coronation & now. Also, they’re both white cloaks for Targaryens & both sides are still Targaryen.
At first I was worried that the writers completey excluded Daeron from the show.. They finally mentioned my boy! When he shows up and he will, I hope they will portray him right - like in the books. For me he is not like Aegon or Aemond. He was a fairly kind, clever, and humble guy. Definitely the best among Alicen't sons. And honestly? The best among all of Viserys' kids (barring Helaena who we all love). Too bad, he was Alicent's third son. If Daeron was her eldest son then that throne would have been his. Or at the very least, Rhaenyra would have a tough time trying to defeat him. Because he's at least someone you can support for a reason beyond his so-called "birthright". (Spoiler for non book readers) The toughest part with Daeron is that he is a kid - some of the worst atrocities occur directly under his watch after Tumbleton, he isn't directly committing them like Aemond burning the riverlands or Aegon's litany of dark and violent deeds, but because he is 'a Targaryen alone in the world', and a kid besides, he's unable to do anything about it. Literally just if Ormond had lived, if Aemond had not been so overly single minded on vengeance against Daemon, if Daeron hadn't burned hundreds of injured people in a Sept at Bitterbridge (😬 I can believe he set the whole town on fire by accident the way it is described, especially considering how disgusted he is later), if Daeron's councilors had not been afraid of giving up potential dragon power and imprisoned/killed the betrayers sooner, if the men around him weren't so selfishly power hungry, things could have worked out differently. It's also possible history speaks better of him because he dies. Nonthelsss I can't wait till they give us Daeron the Daring alongside Tessarion! This episode was an emotional roller-coaster. From watching Aegon and poor Haleana griefing over their baby boy 😢. The Daemon and Rhaenyra "fall-out". But I know Daemon will undo his mistake in the next episode. Probably bc I can’t stand them. I will say the person who had me rolling was Otto 😂😂. He read Aegon down. He was like you weak, dumb and you thought your dad really wanted you on the throne??!! Boy bye ! I was so upset that the twins are no more. I really liked them.
the episode was more story/character driven. there's only 8 eps. plus the actual dance of dragons i believe was not really long anyways. s1 time jumped a lot and right now, they are getting to the meat where they have to set up for what's to come. plus, the twins weren't there much to really form an attachment. there's only concern b/c they're young kids.
