He never paid attention because he thought Rhaenyra was going to be Queen. He just wanted to live his life. He even supported her claim. Deep down he knew he wasn't supposed to be sitting on the throne. Then he was forced to be King literally. He wanted to run away. Now he feels like he has to prove himself. He's not a good person but he's just getting dumped on and has to perform a job he didn't even want. The only time he genuinely smiled was when he saw Sunfyre and his son Jahaerys.

rhaeneys attacked in the hopes of injuring vagar in hopes another black dragon can finish her off. (Meleys is one of the oldest and strongest dragons) or kill her or maybe kill aemond so vhagar would be riderless and out of the picture, she is more experienced at the end of the day Meleys was too injured to have made it very far & Rhaenys would have never abandoned Meleys even for the sake of her own safety. That last look they gave before turning back to fight Vhaegar again was a mutual acknowledgement they were going down together. Makes that whole moment that much more heartbreaking

This is so refreshing! People who know, know. I've been seeing TONS of other people criticizing her decisions in this battle, but they just don't understand the dragon bond, the rules of this world, military tactical decisions in any world, or Rhaenys as a person.

With age comes experience, for some of us. Apparently Vhagar has a strategy. Also, in super stressful experiences I tend to get tunnel vision and a huge dragon could probably sneak up on me. Guessing that's what is going on!

she could've defeated vhagar, vhagar had to pull off a sneak attack to win... b/c meleys is smaller and faster... it seems like they should've just listened to daemon and meleys and caraxes could've easily taken out vhagar... b/c w/o Vhagar who do they have? Alicent didn't bother raising her kids. Aemond at least saw Criston like a father figure which allowed Criston to train him and he himself decided to work and learn everything he needed to, to become king. Heleana is not hurting anyone. Aegon was an alcoholic since childhood and was raping, no one really punished him, they just let him do whatever. Once he became king, I think he wanted to be better, but that was impossible in that short amount of time and because of his bad habits. They're blaming him, but they never held him accountable. If they trained him and brought him to council meetings Rhaenyra would have proof that they're planning to betray her.

Even though aegon ass shouldnt have went they had to see this coming. He felt not good enough and respected. Then larys put in his mind alicent/aemond trying to rule over him. Then you have aemond embarrass him in the council and plot with cole and then alicent called him a figure head and useless. They knew he was a crash out and he boiled over

I dont think gwyane was scary i think he was smart but he didnt know the true pupose of rookrest. Cole purposely did this to draw a dragon out and lost one in the process. Gwayne was thinking how to keep people alive and get the castle. Cole knew majority of his forces were about to get wiped but he ain't care. Mr. Noble himself 😂

The best part about Aemond sonning Aegon is that Aegon clearly wasn't fluent in High Valyrian. I wonder if Aemond got the King's books that Aegon "removed" from his quarters... I will also bet that at least that Black maester understood what was being said and was quietly gagging... I'm sure the highly educated non-Targaryens know how to speak and understand High Valyrian!

I want to throw in Aegon did not understand Amond. He was talking shit, and the king did not understand what he was saying. If you noticed when he replied, he said a bunch of bullshit because he didn’t know what was said. He did not pay attention to high valerian.

Daemon was right. Him and Rhaenys should have tagged team Aemond and Vhagar with their dragons, because once Vhagar is out of the equation the war would be over. So much is said about Team Green having the largest dragon but Team Black has more experienced riders which I think matters just as much if not a bit more. The way that Rhaenys maneuvered her dragon more tactically focusing on "attacking" the other dragons as opposed to dragon fire, shows the difference and she actually took down ole girl Vhagar for a moment. With another experienced rider such as Daemon, they really could have taken out Vhagar. And imagine if another rider could have been secured for Vermithor who is still chilling in the pit at Dragonstone! Smdh

Rhaenys 🥺🥺 she should’ve been queen. I cried so hard. One of my favorite characters 😭😭 but real talk this episode was so damn good, and I love seeing Aemond’s true colors come alive.
