I just couldn't resist. Here it is Kid n' Play battling. Just to be clear this does not amount to black on black violence. revolutionhascome.blogspot.com/
Kid won that rap battle did anyone how when play called kid “ eraser head” Sydney ( Tisha Campbell) wasn’t feeling that I think that’s when she started liking Kid when she went up to warn Kid about his pops showing up at the crib and she saw Kid with that other girl she was hurt for real
Kennedy Brown Nah, you weren't born in the wrong time. Just surround yourself in the classics and you'll swear you're right there in the 90's with them. Shit, I haven't left the 90's *yet*.
I was 12 when this movie came out... Every Friday my moms would take me to blockbuster and I would rent it and watch it all weekend lol... One of the greatest movies ever!
Kid ripped the last verse. Three particular lines in his last verse were an absolute sign that he ripped it: "Kid spelled backwards describes you best", "Step to the stage; too late, I blew it up", and "You didn't play, you just got played out."
Q. McHale even battle in my eyes. Play just got on the mic to amp and keep the party goin. Kid initiated the battle. Now play last verse was nice too. "So come on place ya bet, is gonna be me or eraser head?" "Boy you goin way out im ready to serve you. If you can stay up past ya pops curfew" "look at him already a has been let uncle play say a rhyme that'll tuck ya ass in!" So kid had no choice to come back like that then he dropped the mic cause he knew it was jus a friendly battle
A little Hip Hop History 101 for y'all debating about who won...the fact is, in reality, that Kid actually wrote both his AND Play's verses for the movie ;-)
The slickest line is by play in his 1st verse “ the party host with most giving you a dose see / leaving instructions so listen closely / 2 lines forming make sure you step through/ fellas by the backdoor girls by the bedroom” 😂😂🔥🔥.. play was slick with it lol
Yes that line was very underrated cause it meant that all that all that front play was doing in his rhymes was about to get exposed like the tool he was. lol but play gotem on that 2bd verse
Naw...i need a whole adult hood in the 90's lol... Early 90's and late...both part of 90's look different but fun....i was a kid so kid life was fun but adult life now sucks
House Party came out in my freshman year of high. My friends and I went and saw it the first night it came out in theaters. We were crackin up throughout. Man, it was a blessing to be a teen in the 90s!
My family had one of those devices that gives you free cable tv when I was growing up. House Party was released on VHS and Pay per view in September 1990. I was in 8th grade. In fact, the first time I saw it was when I came home from my first day of school in 8th grade. Both parents worked so I had the house to myself for a couple hours. This scene blew me away. At the time I was still into 80s metal (if you want to call Def Leppard metal) and House Party - this exact scene - is what opened my eyes & ears to the joys of hip hop. Because nobody in my school had seen this movie yet, it's always had a very personal meaning to me. Like when you discover a band before they get famous. I hear they're remaking House Party. A fool's errand if you ask me.
Beautiful Surprise If you haven’t noticed mostly when it says it was released its usually a year earlier that it was actually released. Music and movies. I’m old enough to remember unlike you and it was released going towards the winter of 89!
@@TruckerLerone Really, how old am I since I am not old enough to remember? I also just looked at 3 different movies that I know for sure what year they were released and they all show the correct year so I am not so sure about your theory. I can tell you really want it to be released in 1989, so we'll say 1989. Happy? Have a nice evening.
Beautiful Surprise Does it really matter if you don’t remember that it was released late fall/ early winter. See, morons like you never listen to actual first hand knowledge from people who were actually alive say...... during the civil rights movement or, whatever subject it may be. You looked at 3 movies 🤷🏿♀️ from the 70s, 80s or 90s?
Im not really a rap fan. But its performances like this, where i can actually hear lyrics instead of drools, swear words and sexual innuendos. That adheres me to this so much i have goose bumps. Look at the big hair, the multi coloured suit and the lamp shade the woman's wearing.....Thats individualism, character, going out on a limb and being confident with it. Now you have a group of rappers all wearing the same threads, hanging out in ghetto, draped over the producers Aston Martin.
Kid served his ass too tho I still got that movie but that's back when you could go to a house party and have a good time it aint like that no more I wish I could hit the rewind button and go back in time
I was born in 99 so I got a little slither of the 90s lol but the music I listen to is like I was born in the 80s or 90s. It’s something about rapping like this , no heavy cussing, no mumbling, crazy flow, always was so intriguing to me. Like special Ed- I got it made is one of my fav songs I also love KRS one and big daddy cane, grandmaster flash n the furious five, treacherous three and so much more. My pop instilled old school in me and I love it n I’ll never take it for granted. Rip pop, I love you.
