Ship aesthetic: two compatible people fail to connect at their most vulnerable moment, and grow so far apart that they end up brutally fighting to the death.
😩👌 Now that's the shit, it's painful af but it's awesomely tragic in a way. I've made a story like that before, but I don't think I could ever hope to execute it as well the author did in HnK. Maybe someday I'll improve enough lol
"Hey cinnabar want to do this encyclopedia with me?" "Would..it be fun" "ill try my best to make it fun" "Is it better than night patrol" "Yes!" "Why?.." "Cause you won't be alone"
i wish that phos had tried harder to hold up to their promise and didnt abandon/forget about cinnabar :( things could have turned out so much different
There is Bad CGI : Beserk 2012 Meh CGI: Some objects stand out against the background like vehicles sometimes Unnoticeable CGI: Pretty much every building Good CGI: You can notice it but it is good Charming CGI: Like Kemono Friends and Kemurikusa, seems weird for a little bit, starts looking better the more you see it Houseki No Kuni CGI: Houseki No Kuni CGI
i feel like phos went down the villain path because he believed he had nothing....and it takes him (and us as the audience) way too many chapters to realize just how much he originally had AFTER he lost every single thing slowly and surely, including himself, figuratively and literally. I wonder, would it have been different if he knew how much he meant to at least cinnabar? If only cinnabar reached out enough to reach the flower... would happiness really be such an impossibility?
During the whole series he deals with all his trauma by internalizing it and taking it out on himself, until he had nothing left to lose, and I think that's when all of it kinda exploded outwards
This makes me so sad. It's a theme of phos' and cinnabar's relationship, but it sounds so lonely. Phos tried to help cinnabar, but not in the way cinnabar wanted and they both went along different paths. They just weren't meant to be even though they loved each other so much :(
@@SonoLendario And it just keeps going downhill. Whenever I think this manga can't get any more depressing than it already is, it proves me wrong. I have no idea where this story is heading
@@seacrystal6189 i just hope they remember about the sea people and idk try to get everyone together to think of a solution for the lunarians and master problem
MANGA SPOILERS . . . . . . . . Just imagine this playing during the Phos vs Cinnabar fight. All of the sounds dissipate into silence, and this is the sole thing the audience hears as the two tear each other apart. If we really want to cry, imagine that throughout the battle we are given short flashback clips to all of the previous times Phos and Cinnabar were together. God I want a season 2.
SPOILER: Phos, my beloved, you do not deserve the loneliness you are going through right now... It truly has been a ride, Ten Thousand Years and beyond...
Aye but I don’t let that spoil the anime. Because of how the anime ended, even though it left unanswered questions, it still tells one story, instead of the manga which basically changes half way through, so I view them as separate entities
TheLivingCat 02 Just saying, it doesn’t work like that. The entire manga is still one story. The anime was left on a cliff hanger, it doesn’t mean the story ‘changes’. If you’re talking in terms of arcs, the anime itself has quite a few arcs. But every arc together, including the ones that aren’t animated yet is one story. You can’t really say a story ‘changes half way through’ Its literally called a story because things are happening so it is always changing constantly.
I think that he meant that the story gets sadder and sadder and the plot is breking our hearts slowly and painfully. The story is great, and it becomes even more on the manga.
Zerisk 10 it wasn’t a criticism. I was saying that it’s good, it should sound like despair. I just think it’s great when you can sum up songs in emotions, that means the song is good.
I love this piece so much because of how at first it presents itself as a meeting of chance between two characters. Both their pain is realized in this moment as both Phos and Cinnabar start to open up and suddenly we see a glimpse of hope. But then a harsh reality hits us, phos grows and cinnabar can’t understand phos’s way of thinking anymore and creates a rift between the two They desperately fight the pull of their souls intertwining seeing how… different the other is. Two gems that felt so out of place, one out of necessity, the other out of the feeling of worthlessness. Both walk in different paths with their it intertwining only once in this scene wondering if both successfully connected with one another they could’ve filled the gap between them and walked that path instead. But no, one walks the path to oblivion and the other a path towards torturous “redemption” Phos and cinnabar, so similar yet too different to ever connect. Doomed Yuri at its finest.
this is truly beautiful and it moves me to the point of being able to visualize a full scene when I hear this I imagine myself in a wide, empty and lonely moonlit place and it has a warm gentle breeze flowing but am the only one there, bittersweet and just very very lonely
Wow... You've perfectly described the scene of Cinnabar in the cave near the beach of beginnings. It's amazing this song can convey this, i feel it too.
All because they were all jealous of how fast Phos completed progress and afraid of change, then when they were living a new life of peacefulness while Phos, who was the cause of said peace, was buried and denied that life.
@@hanadolce I’d *HIGHLY* recommend reading it yourself, as it could be a while (if ever, but I’m hopeful) before we get a season 2. Also, it hasn’t ended yet, though it did go on a hiatus (both for thematic reasons, and ‘cause Ichikawa deserves a break... and got a PS5 lol). However, if you don’t want to do either, I can give a bit of context. Again though, there are plenty of places to read it for free online so I implore you to just do that.
i just finished hnk a few days ago finally, this soundtrack was on loop for the last like, 15 chapters... to say that I cried so hard I could barely keep up with the end, was an understanding. i loved this story so much and it broke me so hard, i want to change for the better, thank you ichikawa for this.
I love this song cause my GF have an bipolar disorder but I love him more than anything at itong song gusto nya at ginusto kona ren Pati yung bagay na gusto nya I'm so happy to have itO(≧▽≦)O she's my life
@@demoniosd I gave it a shot. I haven't watched this good cg anywhere in anime tbh. But the story till ep 4 wasnt meeting the expectations. I mean the characters were great but the world building and character dynamic lacked a bit. thanks tho!
Coming from anime and not reading the manga, after reading that I ask myself if it would be better to be sad and alone with no meaningfull porpuse for the rest of your life or go through a path of sadness and torment along with someone, even if that person is the one who helps bringing you that same fate. Honestly the latter sounds better out of the 2 miserable options.
