(11/10/12) Oklahoma Gardening host Kim Toscano talks about how house plants can contribute to a healthier living environment and which ones are the best for removing specific pollutants.
I was so happy to find this video! :) It shows so many different plants for fresh air. The lady has a pleasant voice and doesnt talk rubbish :) Which is quite refreshing, I am tired of homemade, "I just want to talkabout my amateur gardening skills, because i jave nothing better to do" videos. Thanks! :)
WHEN YOU TALK OF THE SELF WATERING PLANT HOLDER AT END, AND SHOW THE LOOSE SOIL, TO PROMOTE BETTER AIR QUAILTY FROM THE PLANT (S) CAN ALL PLANT GROW IN THIS PLANTING MATTER ? THANKYOU. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. WHICH PLANT (S) DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THIS PLANTING MEDIA?
where did you locate those hydroculture pots? I've been searching all over the place and notwithstanding placing an order from South Africa or Switzerland, they are virtually unknown in the U.S.

Catherine Brisepierre I'm not sure where to find that specific planter but I'm attaching a link to a great website that has several different shapes and sizes. www.plowhearth.com/self-watering-planters.htm
It would be good to know which of these plants are toxic to pets and children. That information can be found online, but it can be taxing trying to hunt it down.
That is a great idea Brenda! We have been thinking about doing a theme around pets and gardening for next season that will include fun plants for animals and toxic plants to pets. Stay tuned!
I live in Jamaica and I grew up with the notion that having plants in your home or even in your bedroom can decrease your oxygen intake while you sleep. Yah seriously! Is there a particular plant you would recommend for someone like me that suffers from allergies and at the same time is cleaning the air in my room.

(per) my middle eastern indian friend she says that this plant blooms little red flowers., She owns & operate a motel. I truly adore this plant in her motel and house ALTHOUGH I had to literally BEG 😃 her for some clippings and believe me she was very stingy with it so on both ocassions. ThereforeI took what I could get & run with it. However I have some really nice up-close pictures of this plant I can send you in soil and rooting in water. Please help I'm seeking knowledge about what type and name of this plant, I've been unsuccessful looking over the internet.
