You are wrong in taking it for granted. It's a well known fact that much water (and it's been known to happen with less) can easily erode the ground underneath the road surface. Once that happens the pavement WILL COLLAPSE and more ground will be eroded away. Then no matter what type of vehicle you're in would at the very least get stuck or easily be turned over in the water. Then you drown. Is it really worth dying for???
I once crossed a flooded road, the water did damage the road. Sunk past the top of my hood bud gladely my engine didnt hydro-lock up. I was in a lifted truck with 35". 😥
I was out and about when Harvey hit I’ve seen atleast 4 bridges collapse 2 of the bridges I went thru in my boat that I shouldn’t have even been able to go thru
During Harvey only wranglers and Rovers were going over 3 feet, I have a Rover all I saw in the deep water areas were wranglers and some Rovers. They are made for this!
Not really. Some city's flood all the time. I should know I live in Houston and NY car got flooded so I got a Jeep with a 4inch lift. It saves the day.
Its terrifying witnessing in the moment events like that happen..However its so blissful being prepared and able to overcome those obstacles....''Damn nature you scary''
I work at Hobby airport and was working when the storm got real bad. By the time I was able to leave work there was nearly 2 feet of water in the intersection between the airport and the hotel I was staying at. Was still sketch in my Bronco and its stock on 31's.
Mike M exactly what I was thinking too when he got out near the gas station.. like if I just fell into 10ft of water cause part of the road caved in lol. I've done kinda deep stuff when it's flooded where I live but not in like whole huge areas like that, you never know with that shit like you said.
And this is why...i own a jeep. 1990 xj 7.5 inch long arm lift, stroker inline 6 motor, dana 44 frnt/rear.4.56 gears with arb lockers sitting on 35s. Bitch has never ever let me down. Ever no matter what. Keep on jeep'n on ☝
Balls the size of planet Earth but brain the size of a pea , with the water over the bridge you can't see if it's been washed away or cracked then all it needs is the weight of a vehicle on it then down you go ooowww dear God, the lorry driver had sense.
I always made fun of my dad for owning a jeep but after he showed up in his jeep to get me and my mom out of her flooding house I can say that made me team jeep.
Dangerous? Yes Reckless? Yes Irresponsible? Of course. But who gives a shit? This guy certainly didn't and neither do I. I wouldn't personally do it, but I would watch someone else just to see it.
Ghost Assassin I've personally been in that Jeep it was built by Gabriel awesome and fairly safe to drive in water like that the air intake box is set up very high
You know Prius probably can drive through DEEP water as well right??? As long as it uses its electric motor. Plenty of Tesla sedans went through deep water as well...as long as it isn't raging deep water...
@@BernonCarsPrius and Tesla can go through some DEEP water. As long as it uses the electric motor...which doesn't need air to run...and as long as the deep water isn't flowing or raging...
This is another reason to get a truck or jeep and get a good lift on it. It's worth the money instead of dealing with ur vehicle getting flooded and the hassle involved with it
that is greenhouse, literally right before the hwy. you even see the water plant and the school zone sign... if you need more proof, what does the sign look like it says at 2:13 it aint saums
Benjamin Griffith Calling me immature because I made a correct comment & censors your own words & then apparently knows how I feel about replying to a b*tch acting hard because he is, like I said, CONDESCENDING.
Hey Mr. Toyota hater. Toyota Land Cruiser (with a snorkel) has gone through almost 5 feet deep of water before FYI. And the vid is here on RU-vid... Stupid comment of yours.
The land cruiser can go up to the level of the water in the windshield in the Philippines May the long of the water is 1 km...it's go inside the land cruiser the water into the level of the chair but it is not stop
Derpa derpa derpa...I put 37's on a Wrangler, so now it's magical....derpa derpa You were so close to losing that Jeep...probably a nice one too...more money than brains club....and yes, I know you "made it though".. but you really werent sure and kept going.
Swept away, drove over road that wasn't there...side flipped and they all drowned. They didn't get the video on youtube from the boys that did this here. They didn't have the Jeep.
