Hoverboard Scooter Parts Explained - Charging Port
The charging port on a hoverboard is one of the most common things to go wrong. People often trip over the cord while their board is charging and break the pins or get the charger jammed in the port.
This is one of the easiest repairs on a board to do. You can find this part at HoverboardSCooterParts.Com which is who gave me this part for free in order to make this video.

My hoverboard charging port is kinda messed up. I only have 2 prongs left inside BC I tripped over the cord. I was able to take the charger out without taking anymore prongs out but I wonder will it still charge. I only ask that is because after that I lost the cord and don't know what to do as far as using the hoverboard. Im in desperate need of a charger and charging port.

Hi mate. I had to recently do this and I managed to get that nut over the plug side on without removing the tabs. So you just put the nut over the plug sideways and slightly force it over you don't need to break anything

I have a used Jetson rogue and no money for a new charger or even a way to the store to get one. Can I charge it any other way? It's my only ride to work.

Do you by any chance have the pinout of the 3 prong charger? The Connector has 4 wires and the charger is 3 prong, wonder where each of the 4 connector wires go into the 3 prong port ?

did you find out? i dont know if i can directly attach the charger to the battery because inside the pack there is the BMS so i think it could balance the cells. but what the needing of the 4 wires?

sorry im kind of confused when you say the charging port is gone. im guessing it got punched through the plastic into the inside of the board. can you take the shell off and look? you may be able to pull it back through. if not or if its broken just order this part amzn.to/28LVuiI

if you mean the plug came out just plug it back in. otherwise you may need to buy a new charging port, its an easy fix. here's one on prime for under 20 bucks you can have it in a day or two amzn.to/1RtFn6l
