How 1.18 Changed Minecraft. 

Sorry for the lag but replay mod did not release for 1.18 yet! So i had to record everything in spectator mode which caused a lot of lag with my beast shader :/

Didn't they change it so monsters spawn in lower light levels again as i broke too many farms? And yes diamonds are more common but you now only find one or two per vein. Again amazing vid keep up the great work and also really engaging to watch!

That fact the Mojang went from making a really good game with amazing everything, to a outstanding game with amazing world generation, and cross platform play is amazing. Keep it up Mojang! I'm going to cry when Minecraft get's its last update.

1.18 speedruns should be a new category. They are very different especially in the occurence rate of stuff. Arguably overall more different from 1.16 than 1.16 is from 1.15. Just idk if enough people agree. And will 1.19 or future updates be so drastic to speedrunning too? Also, I tend to categorize updates in eras with a similar direction with the game and the size and magnitude of updates. Classic era before release. 1.0-1.7 nostalgic era. 1.8-1.12 pre-modern era. 1.13-1.16 modern era. While I would classify 1.17 to a newer era because of the game's direction factor, 1.18's grandness is just on a whole another level. A new era of Minecraft updates has started.

a nice detail of the new generation of monsters is that I think the only thing I noticed is that it is more "pretty" Monsters only spawn in complete darkness so you can't see them spawning, it's like they are literally coming out of the darkness to kill you and not appearing out of nowhere in front of you the way it was with low lighting

Lets hope they dont nerf drops from mobs like the enderpearls from piglin in 1.16.1

I'm happy with the update overall, but I do wish Mojang would keep in mind the *Survival* aspect of Survival. I'm not saying make the game overly hard, but I want there to be more of a challenge and danger. I'm 130 hours into 1.18 with fully enchanted netherite armor and 0 deaths. I like to pride myself on not dying but even this is a bit ridiculous for me.

Many of the making minecraft harder changes have two point of wiews: 1. People who build mob farms, enslave villagers and stuff 2. People who play on easy

Powdered Snow was so threatening when I first saw it, but it's absolutely a push-over. If it's naturally spawned, you just go to the bottom, and then punch out 2 blocks. Now if it's a playermade trap it can actually be dangerous, but you can still just wear leather boots

Bro, Minecraft is literally amazing, it has so many unique and cool aspects for beginners to people tryharding the game at its fullest! On top of that Mojang is actually one of the best game companies that listens to their community. Gotta say, Minecraft will always be my fav game

Me burning through 16 iron picks, digging at -56 for 5 hours straight only to find 2 single vain diamonds. Also me finding 3 villages within 200 blocks of each other after saying a few choice words to the mine.

Most updates that include terrain change is definitely a double edged sword, if you play Minecraft to be able to experience it to the fullest, this update is the best choice, but if you ate playing Minecraft to achieve something competitive, just play 1.17, because it will be harder. Exactly just like what Sven said, Minecraft can be played either ways, but honestly in my opinion playing it by slowly progressing, getting that proud feeling of building such an epic house, finding a stunning landscape and a one in a million odds moment, it just feels much better.

The fossils only generate deapslate diamond ore and its so rare

Also one thing that is really really hard is mobs are so much more dangerous because I started a new world, and i died so many times. I go caving and then mobs start hording me, creepers exploding, 5 skeletons shooting at me, 1 baby zombie and like 4 others attacking AND spiders have gotten so annoying to, idk why but i feel like spiders like teaming with other mobs to feel more powerful. Now I have full diamond gear and not only that, I just got my new set and the dura is below half, besides leggings and chestplate, but this is because, the mobs are so much more abusive. And skeletons really like knocking you down which is why i really need to get netherite armor but still working on that. I could really use that 2 knock back resist and stronger protection and dura. and also lava proof. I fell in lava, and took like this much dura: (-----) thats a lot of dura wasted, when netherite armor laughs at me with dumb diamond armor legit. well dont you worry netherite, you wont be laughing till i get my hands on you. But what I'm also looking for is the new endium armour in 1.20, OMGGGG I'm just getting hungry thinking about it. Its going to be stronger then netherite.

I think Prison houdini should be put in prison with a "Warden" to guard

It’s actually a little harder to get iron in bed rock because It usually generates in Mountains now and biomes are bigger at least for bedrock the version I play

They made it like exposed diamonds will be less likely to generate and if they do it will be a small vein

as a bedrock player, I don't think so. They're already fine-tuning bedrock edition to slowly make it horrible again, I already can't find diamonds because they decreased the generation rate again

0:17 so you didn't even go to the effort of finding your own fossil diamonds only spawn in fossils under y=0, therefore no sand would show (but it's good of you to point out that fossils can spawn in deserts) and all of the ore should be the deepslate variant

1: diamonds are only useful up to a curtain point so this dose not actually matter too much. 2: MC is too easy wether your in 1.18 or not, this is a game where if you can't kill the final boss first try with only mid-tier armor your considered bad at the game, so no 1.18 did not make MC too easy, it already was.

its harder because i use fullbright so i dont place torches and theres more mobs resulting in endless non stop battles with creepers and skeletons and eventually ur heart goes down over time and u die

Im currently playing Minecraft 1.18 and I litterly found 4 viliges in view distance of each other. And diamonds arrent easyer to find I'm my experience especially not in these huge caves since when they spawn in them it's usually only one or two blocks

Imagine having full diamond and only missing thorns 3 and soul speed on your gear and full max tools and on day 213 but still havent beaten the dragon thats me
