Justin Jefferson is just incredible, his route running, his awareness, his ball controlling he really is a huge stud he’s one of the reasons why I love watching football
One thing not mentioned is that the Vikings traded Diggs to Buffalo for a couple picks, one of them being a first round pick. We used that first round pick to select JJ. It has to go down in history as the most mutual/beneficial trade in NFL history. Bills get Stefon, a truly reliable WR1 for Josh Allen. We got JJ who is already the best WR in the league at such a young age. Sköl
I had a very similar growth spurt my Junior year unfortunately I didn't end up as one of the best revievers in the nation after but i was a beast of a volleyball player lol
I had the same growth spurt went from 5’8 to 6’2 and I’m in my senior year now unfortunately my path is not the same as Justin got no offers. don’t know if I should keep going and try to walk on or do prep to get an offer somewhere and work hard to make it
What really makes Justin stand out is the probable longevity he’ll have in the NFL, a lot of stars play football all through grade school, highschool, & college. So their body’s have already taken a toll before getting into the big leagues. Jefferson only saw a fraction of field time before going pro. Dude will have a solid 15 years if he stays consistently healthy. Best receiver in the league right now
Yep, not to mention his game isn’t focused on athleticism but on his route running which is more sustainable for longer careers, a lot like Davante in that sense
I agree with everything you said except the best Receiver part right now. Problem is the Vikings have a habit of letting guys go in there prime still. Examples: Randy Moss, Stephon Diggs, Treadwell, etc. Hopefully he stays there.
@Boy Wonder but he hasn’t? Dude has started every game the last 3 seasons except the first 3 games his rookie season with almost 500 targets. He plays smart & he’s not a quarterback getting hit 60% of the game
Justin Jefferson won me my fantasy league in his rookie season. Was one of the last picks in our whole league draft but me as a vikings fan believed in him! You can only love this guy and his way of playing.
I realized that if justin started his the first three games in his rookie year there was a potenital that he could of put the rookie record out of reach but he is on another level right now
they all sound like a classy respectful family. JJ is the face of the NFL and already a cultural icon. so glad to be a vikings fan and root for this young mozart
Man, Jordan could have been such a good QB. Played against him in the state quarterfinals for Higgins. He was such a good qb, he threw it everywhere that night. Shame Les failed to get him a proper coach to develop him.
Personally I think it says a lot about how hard you willing to work when your nfl stats are astronomically higher than your high school stats. Never stopped working
Davante Adams was a 2 star WR as well. Players develop at a different rate and this is an awesome video to remind all the young players watching this video to stay on your grind and work for everything you want to earn!!!
What's crazy is the mid level power five they offer all the top 300 kids that ever school does. Then there are kids they like but don't offer until a non power 5 or a lower ranked power 5 offers. So much group think it's not even funny. That's why ever year they will be D2 or lower ranked schools having guys go pro. If my team only drafted 5 starts I don't think that NFL team would be very good.
Hats off to the kid. He's as tough as they come (taking a lot of dirty shots), he's clutch (the moment is never too big for him), and a true professional.
Dang man. Im a 21 year old senior in college. In 6’4, and was never interested in football until this past year. Im definitely feeling down about never playing football. I know i would have enjoyed it a lot as either a cornerback, receiver, or qb. It sucks knowing ill never get the opportunity to even try
Dennis Rodman joined the nba at 20 something with no prior experience and became a beast, not saying you’ll be in nfl but you can definitely play in a different league
@@TheRealSlimShady509 not any national leagues, (it might be some though) look for something within your community. Don’t know about you situation or where you live but there should be a group of people who feel the same and wanna get back out there.
@@dannysetemup i guess im out of luck then because i live in kentucky. The only medium sized city nearby is lexington. Ive looked and cant find any groups of people that are interested. I appreciate you looking out though
Amazing transformation...as he may be the most elite receiver in the NFL today. Hard to believe only a 2 star. That senior highlight catch looked like someone above that.
Man, plays with so much personality. If his name wasn't on the back of his jersey you could still tell who's got the ball. Just got the intangibles that make him Jefferson.
He seems like a legit good dude too, I love seeing good character men kill it in the league. I don't know how you can't love this guy and how he plays and I am not even a Vikings fan
He’s a nightmare for DB’s arguably one of the best route runners in the NFL Edit: his story is so inspirational just to show that if you never give up you can always catch your dreams 🫡
He looks so different when he was younger. Can't really blame them for giving him 2 stars. Look at him now. Justin Jefferson is a God of the field 🙌 👏 SKOL
Its safe to say, Ed Os recruitment and belief in JJ changed his life for the better. Best reciever in his first 3 years since Obj’s start, hes got a HUGE payday comin in the next few years.
Last year I came into high school at 5’8 130. I played freshman team luckily with no injuries and we had a solid season of 6-3-1 This year I’m 6’0 still growing 155 and unconfirmed on what team I’ll be playing on. Ngl I don’t want to be that guy but I sound pretty similar to justin Jefferson.
there is a 0% chance cinci gets JJ in his prime, youd need to pay 3 massively expensive contracts to keep burrow, chase, and JJ. Plus, you'd need to give up several 1st round picks, (4 or 5), i dont know why bengals fans think this is ever gonna be a possibility lmao
I was heavy on Justin in LSU and told a lot of my friends he will be the best WR of the draft and top 5 in the league! Everyone literally argued me down lol (also said Burrow was better than Trevor Lawrence before eventually meeting in the Nat)! I badly wanted my 9ers to grab Justin in the draft but they drafted Kinlaw 😐! Much rather had Jefferson to give the 9er offense a true alpha WR. I like Aiyuk too and he is still growing (and Kyle’s offense doesn’t help either) but I felt JJ skill was that good to transform a offense to elite!
He had an amazing season this year…his catch late in the 4th quarter on 4th down against the Bills has to already be in the top 20 graters catches of all time
