@@iammyownself8578 they might have great products, I find them overpriced here, in Central Europe. I don't see many creators use L'Oreal L'Oreal products in their routine because there are cheaper and better alternatives. I just wanted to underline the sponsored aspect so viewers were conscious that it's an ad
This route is not set in stone .. you can do it the other way around cleanse and when skin is still damp put on your HA the V/ C or you can put your HA when the Vitamin c is still a bit damp on the skin ... and Sunscreen last when skin is dry ..YES YOU CAN ADD YOUR MOISTURIZER BEFORE YOUR SUNSCREEN IF U WANT!!
In the morning first I wash my face with a neutral liquid soap, once my face dries I use the Freshly Juiced vitamin c serum from Dear Klairs, then I apply Minéral 89 hyaluronic acid serum fron Vichy and for the final step I put on my Effaclar DUO SPF 30 cream from La Roche Posay. I have to say my skin has never looked/felt better
Oh!! This product is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Both Vitamin C and Salicylic Acid in a leave on! Yasss! 100% getting this today! Thanks Doc! ❤
what he doesn't tell you is that vitamin c is ph dependent. vitamin c works at a ph of 3.5, and your skin is naturally acidic at a ph of 4. when you cleanse and rinse with water, it brings up the ph of your skin to more of a alkaline ph (~7) because water is alkaline. this is why you HAVE TO wait before putting on vitamin c serums. 15-20 minutes to allow for your skin to naturally go down in ph. then once you put it on, you can't even put on any products because there's a absorption window of around 15 minutes. so if you want to put on a vitamin c serum, you will havu to do at least 30 minutes worth of waiting. that is unless you have a ph correcting toner that brings down the ph of the skin.
I did not know that- but I did know that it’s good to use a ph balancing toner, so I have been using a really good one before I put on any of my serums/moisturizers. And I always start afterwards with Vit C. So I was doing it right thank goodness! Thanks for the info!
I wanted to let you know that your post inspired me to research this more and I will now be writing an article on the importance of rebalancing skin PH after cleansing to ensure proper product effectiveness 😊😊😊thank you!!!
Not to mention. Correction - HE is ready to go after applying sunscreen. I havea few more layers to go - skin color corrector, concealer, foundation, face powder and blush.
I use pure collagen serum, Vita c serum and argan oil added to my moisturizer that has hyaluronic acid. Ppl say my skin has never looked better and I don't wear any foundation.
Omg, I’m Moroccan, and I’m telling you, I use VitaC and HA and then lock them in with Argan oil and right after that I use an Argan oil based cream, IT WORKS WONDERS !!!
@@sigmathanos5030 No it’s not. Hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin but doesn’t act as an occlusion agent (avoid moisture loss). If you don’t use moisturizer on top of HA your skin will dry out faster especially if the weather is dry.
Two questions; 1) why cleanse face in the morning with a cleanser if you've cleansed and put on treatments at night? 2) is the vitamin C stable? What is the shelf life on the vit C?
Thank youuuu 😭 I was in a conundrum because I wanted to use HA with water to really soak my skin BUT everyone said to put vit c on dry skin (which if you casually splash water on from the tap is ofc going to wash straight off) it was a bit of a conundrum and you answered it ❤️
You thanking a dude who make money all those influencers including doctors on internet do this for money they should thank you for watching them giving your time.
no, you use Vit c, & retinol or retin A & leave 15-20 minute's to make sure those products have done their work' then spritz skin, then the hialuronic acid, don't let it dry totally the hialuronic' apply cream or sunscreen. This is how every dermatologist tells you the wait time is important! Check out the brands loreal own- its a rip off, you'd be better off using the Ordinary hialuronic acid' however now estee Lauder own a huge chunk of that now, check out what your Brands own! then make your decision on what you want to purchase from the owners of brands. Ty
I’ll be trying this! Almost finishing L’Oréal Revitalift (red/white pump) forget what’s called retinol/moisturizer mix. I do notice my face skin more clear and soft. Will be purchasing again sometimes they are on buy one/get second 50% off at Rite Aid.
Huh? Hyaluronic acid is best applied on damp skin after cleansing or showering. Also I have dry skin so I use vitamin c oil based and it comes on last in my routine right before a moisturizer or I mix with my moisturizer depending on the moisturizer I decide to go that day (some include other ingredients that can cancel out other serums and oils) then finally a sunscreen (obviously day time routine) I just don't think Hyaluronic acid as a middle step or last step it's definitely for anyone's skin meant to be applied immediately after your face has been cleaned. That's why it's supposed to give you that plump look.. also go a few minutes or more in between layers of every Serum or oils and moisturizers or you're sunscreen will pill up.
What about a moisturiser before the sunscreen? That's what you said in one of your videos, that hyaluronic acid should be followed by a moisturiser to prevent possible skin irritation.
Who needs a separate HA serum? It doesn’t really benefit your skin in any way as it only sucks moisture out of it if you’re in a dry environment or out of the air if you’re in a humid one. But overall it just sits on the surface of your skin and doesn’t actually hydrate it. I’m surprised to see a dermatologist push HA like this.
YESSSS!!! I can’t believe no one talks about this! I live in Vegas and I cannot use HA for the life of me! It always dries my face out even more and that’s because obviously the climate is extremely dry here. I wish HA could benefit me but it just doesn’t. Dermatologist should really warn ppl about this because it’ll save them time and money trying to figure out why they’re skin isn’t showing any results.
Hello, I have a question, I'm research about this since I'm just starting to create my routine, but in a video a dermatologist said that hyaluronic acid and vitamin C must go directly on the skin to work, that is, or you can only put vitamin C or hyaluronic acid serum and in this routine both are used at the same time, and I saw the same in other video, the only difference was hyaluronic acid was first and then vitamin C, so I'm a little confused, I don't know which is the correct information if everything is said by dermatologists
oh, and it also has salicylic acid in it on top of the vitamin c so its a pretty harsh active. applying on dry skin is mostly just for this particular product he shows in the video
Help!! I learned that HA should never be applied without a moisturizer on top because it will take all the hydration from inside the skin, making things worse for fine lines and wrinkles. Please address.
Hi Doc, I saw video on Instagram lady showing @ Target store about lotions. These lotions including cerave has parabean are harmful for your body. She recommended free parabean lotions. I want to know your opinion on this. Thank you
Can you show me how to layer this new serum “12% [Niacinamide + Amino Sulfonic + Ferulic Acid] Dark Spot Serum” with the L’Oreal retinol please. Thank you ❤
I would love to know why I react to drugstore skincare and I don’t with high end skin care. Is there something they put in the cheaper products that does this? And if so I’d like to know what it is
I like this product a lot however, I wish it was fragrance free. It’s not a bad scent I just really don’t love scented skincare products- I’m sure it’s to cover an odor from the vitamin c. Also, I hate the opaque bottle. It’s hard to see how much product I have left. Again, I’m sure that has to do with photosensitivity. But overall a good quality to price ratio. Will buy again!
