That is the "basic" explanation of the operation of this Stirling Gama engine, completely disassembled. I recently developed a new engine in this segment that reached 1600 RPM and with the capacity to power 30 leds: • Motor Stirling, como m...

And for people who are starting to manufacture their first engine! I posted some tips on how the engine should react to ensure its operation. If you haven't watched the tutorial for this engine, here is the video address: • [Tutorial] Como constr...
This engine was invented in 1816 by Scotsman Roberto Stirling, to replace the steam engine. It consists of 4 cycles and 2 times, working with the expansion of "atmospheric air" when heated and contraction of air when cooled again. When the displacement piston "internal can" rises, all cold air that was on the top of the piston inside the cylinder, moves to the hot side, which expands the volume of air generating pressure, which in turn pushes the "working piston" bladder. In the next time, the opposite effect occurs, shrinking the air and sucking the working piston.
The advantage is its operation in any type of heat source: alcohol, gasoline, biogas, firewood and even with the concentration of heat from the sun.
It is also among the most efficient engines at the moment, reaching 45% of energy efficiency, this being pressurized with Helium or Hydrogen gas inside the engine. But soon after, he fell into oblivion! Due to the commercialization of the internal combustion engine, a smaller, light engine and with low manufacturing cost, in relation to the Stirling engine.
