That's a great question: The NEST stat is a learning stat. This means even when your home if the setting is enabled it will take two to three weeks to learn your "Schedule" at what times do you like the temperature set to a certain temp. For instance, before you go to bed every night if you turn your stat down to 67 degrees, it will learn that and eventually automatically set it to 67 around the time it thinks you go to bed. Along with their door/window sensors it could also stop running your system if a door or window is detected as open for longer than 15 seconds. Thanks for watching the video!
