Both the sofa table and coffee table came out great. Love both the design and that gorgeous walnut!

Thank you Kevin. I knew that walnut would have some cool figure, but didn't expect that much!

I really like the base to top connection method, I had not thought to do it that way.

Thanks! It was a fun way to do it and a great method if you never want to remove the legs.

I see you planer sled. Your hours of shimming, your hours of using hot glue, then realizing you don't need hot glue, just some shims and some like 120 grit sand paper spray adhesived to a planer sled saving me hours of time. I see you. I see you rocking 1/2" over 8 feet, then realizing you can split the diff by shimming 1/4" on each side, thus not losing more wood than necessary. Yes, but not after spending extensive time using an 8 foot level to level planer bed (only, detaching dewalt 735 tables, which were angled UP all the way!!!!!!!!!!! YES, that;s the planer snipe secret) so I could create a level area where I could raise the 735 up high and put my wood on there, shim and adjust to get the least amount of material lost. Planer time - I say I salute you, but you make me to damn creative for what should be a simple task! Also, subbed.

Totally. Lots of little tricks to get the most out of the planer. Orienting the fence forward was my biggest learning. No need for hot glue, let the sled fence do it's job to hold the boards in place and save tons of time
