If you start in with telling them how to do their job or name calling them they're gonna remove you it's that simple. It sucks yeah but players gotta maintain themselves too

Too many of these guys are horrible and just get to keep their job while being unjustifiably horrible at it. They make a quarter mil a year, so I'm not going to feel too bad that they get shit talked when absolutely awful at their job.

He said that call was BS & that he, the ump, had been garbage all game ... that's called having an opinion (and giving critical feedback). Judge didn't get tossed for saying the call was bullshit, he could've said that all game long. I am so sick of people not taking accountability and ALWAYS blaming the umpire. Literally every baseball player since baseball has been played knows that the second you get personal with an umpire in an argument, you are gone. It is like people crying about Pete Rose being banned from the Hall of Fame. He was literally caught gambling on baseball. Only an idiot would gamble on baseball as a person involved in MLB. Edit: I should add, MLB umpires don't give a shit about players talking shit to players on the other team. Do you know who DOES though? Your teammates. You want to know why? By doing that, one of your teammates could find themselves with a fastball hitting them in the kidneys.

@@brianeleighton the "not taking accountability" part is nice and all but you do know that officiating has gotten measurably worse in the past few years right? it's not that anyone is saying they're cheating at the game, just that they're calling them unreliable and pointing out how unfair and unpredictable it makes the sport as one of the athletes on the field giving it their all. that's why people crack, slip up and call the umps names. I can certainly tell you that's why I've done it in the past, albeit in bush league, now imagine the pressure on these uber athletes and I think it's pretty reasonable that they want a game that accurately rewards their efforts. it's not about cheating at all, just about the fact that we live in an era where the umps job is easier than ever thanks to video reviews and robo umps and somehow they still find ways to mess up. the frustration stemming from that when you depend on good decision making to win and keep your career going is palpable and understandable too.

You can't say whatever you want and immediately turn your back and think there won't be consequences. The fact is, he made it personal when he told the ump "you've been bullshit all game" and that usually gets you ejected. You can think that's soft, but that's how it is.
