@@entropie138 in the books Brienne initially though that Gendry was Renly with how similar they looked. Stannis is noticeably different. Either way they all have the distinct features of being tall with dark hair and blue eyes

The show shouldn't have cut the daughter insulting Aemond. It would have helped remind us that despite being a skilled warrior riding a big fucking dragon, Aemond is still insecure and afraid of appearing weak after being bullied by his brother and nephews

Agree. His actor looks so much older (not his fault and he does a great job) but Aemond should only be like 18-19 at this point in the story if I recall. Missed a good chance to remind the audience that while physically he's a grown man emotionally he's still very much a teen and carrying his childhood hurt from being bullied.

I mean to be fair all Rhaenyra offered was hey remember your dad swore something come fight and possibly die for me over it with no real incentive to get people to fight for you on top of sending little Lucerys on a little dragon compared to Aemond on Vhagar it was like they had no chance. Aemond had a big dragon for threatening and also his own marriage proposal to use as barter meaning that for a lucky lord one of his daughters sisters or other female kin could be used to bind their house to the royal family have half targ kids that can possibly get dragon eggs or more importantly once Aemond dies gain Vhagar and be the most powerful person in the world.

It was necessary for YOU to end their reign, lol? I'm pretty into this stuff, as is almost everyone here. But assuming the identity of a family in a fantasy serious Is a little weird. Despite all that weirdness, House Baratheon might have helped but it was the Targaryen Dragons that won them the seven kingdoms and many many more cities in Essos. Robert didn't even get to pass his throne down to anyone with his name, bastard or not. I think its safe to say thd Targaryens did it better for a few hundred years.

Rhaenyra messed up in multiple ways. First she assumed that oaths matter. The only house oaths mattered to was House Stark. To the other houses, oaths could be broken. Second, she married her insane uncle who solved his problems by murdering people. Third, she betrothed her two oldest children to her stepdaughters, thereby removing four potential alliance marriages. Aegon meanwhile was the oldest son so he had tradition behind him and he had two younger brothers and three children available for marriage. The only problems he had was an obsession with women (not uncommon) and a love of alcohol, which could be solved with a competent Hand and his brothers acting in his steed.

The accused kinslayer known as “Aemond One-Eye” gets his, for the Rogue Prince has his own (older) bond with Vhagar to play on and prove who truly has the blood of the Dragon.

@@happilyevernever4289 grrm made him the definition of plot armor thats why hes boring. in the series everyone around him dont commit anything worse than he did but he never suffers while everybody suffer the most and that makes him less enjoyable and guess what the only guy who profitted from the dance was him. you become less enjoyable to watch when you play the game with a cheatcode. Aemond is exact the opposite, his whole life is a tragedy and suffers from his actions and this makes him interesting. blame grrm for writing daemon that way. his plot armor is thicker than the show jon snow's.
