The Chris Jericho Appropriation Society would work now with his Learning Tree gimmick. It also could have worked if Chris Jericho tried to turn each member into a version of his past self.

@@colechung7806 Yeah Hagar sure rose up (other then one random title feud as a forgettable monster of the month for Moxley). Santana and Ortiz barely wrestled on Dark on occasion. Guevara its hard to tell cause he keeps having injuries and time off. And he derailed what should have been his own big face breakout by dumping (and allegedly) cheating on his fiance with Tay

@@KruelAidMan No. Just noting that the IC did nothing for basically anybody in it. I wouldn't have lobbied for Hager to win that title (or even be the challenger for it that he was). But they could probably have done something other then a monster enforcer who can only beat jobbers on Dark.

I think AEW just failed in story telling all together. I remember at one point I was so invested in Adam Hangman Page Vs Kenny Omega and the whole CM Punk controversy just make me lose interest in AEW. Nowadays all they can brag about is one or two 5 stars matches on a PPV, there’s nothing interesting to tune in for their weekly shows because it’s so bland in story, I have absolutely no idea what is happening. It felt so random most of the time. And Tony Khan kept signing new wrestlers, which devalued the previous stars he signed due to someone them no longer part of the main story anymore, the old ones are just there to wrestle and that’s it.

I just watch the world title segments and watch some 10 minute review on YT to keep up with the rest. It has been really lackluster in story telling lately. Added to that most of my favorites (MJF, Britt baker, Ricky starks, wardlow, house of black, Darby, Danielson) are either not on TV or booked like trash. It seems they're just hiring a bunch of random Japanese free agents just to please Dave Meltzer. Tony and young clowns care more about WWE than their own company. Really sad to see how much they fell off.

Jon moxley is becoming a blackhole of himself booking and faction wise. These exwwe guys are charging Tony what wwe could've done for them. Yet in aew with their creative freedom, showed wwe were solely responsible for their success. Otherwise the talent sink in their own control.

I think Vince McMahon’s initial retirement actually had something to do with this, the JAS were using all the dumb WWE tropes as part of their gimmick but as soon as Triple H started letting them say wrestling on WWE TV that part of the JAS’ gimmick just wasn’t funny anymore
