Class action discrimination lawsuit just waiting to happen. When I get my law degree, this is the first company I plan to sue. First, test show that the use of the video technology has already shown a disparate impact on minorities and women. Second, the use of facial cues hurts non-native English speakers and people who aren't culturally American, amounting to discrimination based on national origin. Also those who have autism, Asperger's and other spectral disorders may not have the ability to produce the "right" facial cues and non-verbal responses, opening the door very wide to disability discrimination. It's one thing for companies to use this for research on how well their interviews are doing versus what an "objective" AI measures, but it seems that many companies are using this outright as their recruiting method with no human input whatsoever, and that's rather troubling and premature.

It won't work. First they would ask you to agree to the T&C of the AI interview before you can proceed further . So how can you sue after you agreed to it ?

LMAO you can say the same about normal interviews. People who have the wrong facial cues in in-person interviews are already hurt in that process. Same with Aspergers or other spectral disorders. And how does video hurt minorities and women? Are they unable to operate the technologies as well white men? Do they somehow perform worse in talking to a blank screen? Are webcams only designed for white male faces so women and minorities look ugly? It's a freaking video

@@shanewalker3273 hahah right!!! This is crazy! I feel like the feminist are doing more damage than good. It’s makes it look like women can’t compete if they are not giving favoritism smh 😂😂😂 Anyways these people will lose in the long term. At the end of the day companies want competent workers if you can’t compete in this globalized world then you will get fired and replaced! They will always have thousands more willing to do the job better or even for less 😂😂😂😂

I think it is already used by some companies...higher discrimination in future for unemployed or unlucky people as me.

Why would you select a job candidate like this? 😂 if I can’t sit down and talk to you face to face I’m never going to work with you lol

I understand the overwhelming number of applicants and how this software can be helpful to select the best candidate. I still prefer in-person interviews. More humane.

@Neda Pelar I think in person interviews will be outdated in a couple of years 😭😭😭😭 This is where the technology is heading! With all the progress in AI, Robotics, automation and many more smh We will see how it goes

Not something I would ever accept and I have had recruitment companies get angry with me for saying so. For me there are hundreds of jobs out there so I do not need to do something which I would not enjoy. I perform badly in psychometric tests but shine face to face therefore AI is not for me. I wouldn’t use it to interview either. I know what I look for in an employee and often personality driven rather than exams. I want to be entertained in an interview so tell me when you performed in front of 5,000 people. That’s mine but every candidate should have their own.

What if the interviewee is talking about a situation or about a scenario that is not present in the AI training data set? How it would react!?!? On what basis the AI would create a rule of filter to assess the candidate?

1:22 "Creative thought"? Some cultures and people with autism do not look up. Looking anywhere but the floor is considered rude in some cultures. This is just a way to discriminate but make it sound fair.

AI is not programmed to search for creativity, they are searching for compliance, and willingness to follow orders blindly.

I do self identify, but still think they discriminate because of race or deselect because of race. Especially for a black Male. Its easier for a women or a women of color to get a the job because she is a legal care giver for children meaning jobs know that she is working to support a family in a positive way and is willing to take orders better. When they see a black male with a uncommon and different name they criminalize us a say we to manly and want be as passive, and to intimating to co-workers for certain Position. Plus the AI is created properly to eliminate people of color from that position or title. Also these corporation have selective AI technology that eliminates candidate's from the beginning by there first name and race. For example if a office is filled with educated privilege white male and female I don't think it would be a priority for them to hire someone from a different race that quickly. Also there is know reel oversite to monitor and check these things especially with multi million and billion dollar companies who lobby government official and people of power for there profit and prosperous endeavors. Most of these companies don't even get penalties, fine, or lose money because there are not diversified enough. Plus when we move up to mid-level and upper-level jobs and careers the whiter and less diverse it gets for those level and its mainly white women and white men at those levels. Plus many mid level and top position is often based on who you know and your network circle recommendation. I still self identify but I don't think its makes me a top candidate for a position. If any thing it makes it worse in the selection process in my opinion as a black male.

STUPID! This is so subjective instead of hiring experts they are looking to subjective computations. Generally management wants someone who is inexperienced, lack specific education, will follow orders and 'blend' with the rest of the company. So glad that the medical, enginnering, and accounting sectors don't do these stupid decisions.
