England suck so hard at penalties, no one else can understand how much winning one actually meant here.

Unless you are English you will never understand this. There are lots of other sports, but football is in our blood. Even the women, and I had played women's football for 6 years, Love my country love our team, good or bad, and I love more than anything it's people. One day we will do it, hopefully before my time is up.

I remember watching this game live. My mind was blown to smithereens, and I also remember in the postgame broadcast, one of the analysts was English, and it was evident that she had just previously been in *tears.* What a game.

I don’t care what anybody says nothing brings this country together like England doing well in a tournament. Must have been how they felt winning a battle hundreds of years ago.

My girlfriend is a big woman, probably heavier than me, but when that penalty went in I fucking swept her off her feet and held her in my arms. I don't know why or how, but that's what it meant.
