Not sure how he could be seen as average he mounted a title challenge got to two European finals won a few fa cups and payed for Top 4 teams. He was outside top top 5 in his position as a cdm with his hight show his football intelligence to survive that role
As someone who loved Arsenal FC, I concur that most of us really liked him, a talented hard worker who fulfilled his role, no flashy tricks, just pure football.
@@RaymarFootballYou may have already done this and I’ve missed it - but if you haven’t - please do a video on Michael Laudrup, He was the best midfielder in the world in his day, and one of the very best in history. There’s an hourlong RU-vid vid of just Laudrup passing, and it’s incredible - would recommend a watch for you there 👊🏻
I think Flamini was super intelligent player. He understood how to help win games with his skills and positioning even though he wasn't the most skilled or fastest on the field. The guy who you don't want but you absolutely need if you want to be successful in football.
4:23 I can guarantee you that was a drop from $100K to $60K A WEEK -not a year. He was playing in the Premier League, my friend, not driving a bus in Pittsburgh! Otherwise, great video!
the fact that he is still trying to learn more from those PHD is incredible. with his wealth earned from his football career alone he could have sit back and live a relatively luxurious life after retirement, but he decided not to and still challenge himself in a new field, even then he still work out at a high level for 5 days a week. This go to show his character. he is humble, intelligent, willing to adapt and disciplined, he deserve his success. I never really like Arsenal but I respect this man.
He's nowhere near average. Average is like a Gareth Southgate, or a Robbie Savage, playing for mid teams, or average teams. At one point in time, Flamini, Hleb, Fabregas and Rosicky were the best midfield in the prem, came close to winning the prem even.
from a technical aspect, Flamini is decent but not all too special outside his work rate and hustle of course. but for the quality of regular top league starters, relatively average technique
Flamini was one of the best players in the prem for a period of time. Certainly one of the best for Arsenal back then after Fabregas left. I don't really get why you're treating him like he's Tom Cleverley.
The company has 80 employees, half a wikipedia page and isn't listed on any stock exchange. I doubt the company is even worth the paper it's written on
Fflamini was no average player, his partnership with Fabregas in the 2007/2008 season was dynamic.. he allows Fabregas to play more forward with ease...He was a complete CDM and plays his hearts out for the team...
Unfortunately, this is hilariously inaccurate. If his company was worth 21 billion pounds, why did they need to raise £13m from outside investors in 2022? So they went from not having £13m to spare, to one of Europe's biggest unicorn companies in history in just 2 years? Not blaming you for this at all, as its been widely reported in the media, but conveniently the media will just say his company is 'estimated to be worth X billion', with no source given at all for the valuation. Flamini is in no way, shape or form a billionaire yet.
you clearly dont understand what youre on about First of all, a company's market valuation and raising capital are 2 different things. I havent and I wont look into the reasons why they would choose to raise outside capital instead of selling equity but the reasons are plentiful. Just off the bat liquidating shares is a taxable event and companies can get lines of credit at an attractive interest rate so generally speaking thats what they do if they are short on cash for operating costs, capex or what have you Secondly, your claim that 13 million of outside liquidity injection, whether it be a loan or equity, is in some shape way or form proof that his company is not worth 21 BILLION marketcap is ill-informed. Companies run big deficits in their balance sheets some run at a loss for quarters even years, on paper the company is worth what the last share was traded for multiplied by the number of shares issued =- market value
@@1greenMitsi The idea that a company valued at £21B would raise £13m in venture capital is not impossible but unheard of. I actually believe that it is you who have no idea what you are on about. But I recommend that you google the company. Then you will find out that it is not worth even a fraction of what this video is claiming, you will even find statements from Platini himself that confirms that.
@@1greenMitsiYou are correct. How a company is valued is not related to the amount of capital raised despite what other commenters believe. Every successful company on the planet operates on a line of credit. Only ignorant company owners run their company using their own money 👍🏻 EDIT: Anyone who disagrees needs to explain why companies such as Tesla and Uber are valued in the billions however, lost mountains of money for decades…
Any player who started a game for arsenal under arsene Wenger is definitely NOT average! To get to that level even for one start you have to be in the top 1% of football players on the entire planet!
Obviously it means out of the top leagues. What would be the point in included your local town’s under 5’s 💀 And Wenger definitely signed and played some below average players, don’t be daft.
Flamini was not an average player, he was great at Arsenal and we loved his attitude and professionalism, so don't call him average that is disrespectful to him, if you comparing to Messi or like he was not like them but he was a very good midfielder and committed one.
I think you messed up a little here. You called him average but then went on to talk about how good he is. You even called him a French prodigy. Just strange to contradict yourself, though, it's probably for people to comment something.
Bro Prime Arsenal Thierry Henry, Robin Van Persie, Dennis Berkgam and Mathieu Flamini. I heard that in 2003 arsenal was about to sign Ronaldinho imagine that💀
Are you aware that Flamini started most of his games at Arsenal and AC Milan. Would even prefer him over Jorginho anyday. I'm assuming you only started watching football recently because the disrespect in the video is extremely unnecessary
I dont think he's by any means the richest athlete in history. What about showjumpers with inherited money, that tennis player, Brunei royals, Vialli and many, many others.
Far from average, though he never achieved his full potential, but he was a cracking player and even represented France at a time when their midfield was still stacked.
Technique wise he was bang average but his stamina and mentality was absolutely elite. Also I would argue his first stint with Arsenal was much more successful, especially his partnership with Cesc. He went from being starting DM at Arsenal to average in Milan and on his return he was a shadow of himself. He barely played, but he’d fight for the team and fans loved him for that.
The main thing really wrong here is that you suggest twice that "Flamini only scored 6 goals that season" or whatever as if goals are the measure of a footballer. They are the measure of a striker or attacking player. When you say that twice, you sound like you don't understand football at all.
@@RaymarFootball yea I know and I understand your point too. I even remember Alexander Helb too some unsung heros of Arsenal. I even remember Diaby #2 from Arsenal and I doubt he played 5 matches for the team
This is a horrible video - for mostly aesthetic reasons, but some editorial as well. But we gooners have always loved Matthieu. Ask any of us who we’d prefer to buy out the Kroenkes and you’ll hear his name.
