I just realized that this is the 500th video we've posted to this channel! Only fitting to have Vader appear in it. I can't thank you all enough for your wonderful support of the channel. It's been an amazing first 500 videos and I'm so fortunate to be able to say I'm part of this community with you all. Thank you very much and I hope you enjoy today's video!

I bet Vader found it hilarious to hunt down the Jedi, have them by the end of his saber and break their last inch of spirit by telling them that they were sent to their doom by a guy named Greg.

How to survive seeing Vader with out his mask Step1: don’t be a crazy stalker nurse.

You will find Vader is far more forgiving than the Emperor. Famous for it.

I love the idea that Vader tended to actually like some of his underlings outside of the 501st. It really adds a new angle to the Sith lord.

He respected him, Piett has seen Vader without mask too and Vader didn't kill him, he even allowed him to live after he failed to capture Millenium Falcon, it's hard to find passionate officer who tries to do the job done right, Empire is flooded with usless fools who got in there becouse of family connections.

Something tells me Vader didn't kill him because he knew Greg wouldn't tell anybody or think anything of him. Also notice how Greg didnt even address anything about vader's face. He just kept speaking to him normally as if it was a normal report. Greg was scared, but he was smart enough not to address it or look surprised, which Vader probably respected.

I can't imagine what it must have felt like to stand there and see Vader as a human. I'd probably feel sorry for the Enforcer, and probably get killed, as Vader would see it as insubordination. But Gregg was able to keep his composure and stay alive. What a clever man.

Gregg the Imperial Officer sounds like the name of a 90's sitcom or something.

Vader respects a person's initiative and follow through if it leads to success. But don't get it twisted, he'll choke your neck in a second it if he feels as though you wasted his time, or got out of pocket.

Gregg had brains and wanted to do his job to perfection. He knew how to do things and do them right. Even the Emperor knew Gregg was a worthy employee. Too bad Gregg didn't find Obi Wan. That would have gained him huge.

i understand that he was absorbed in his work at the time but i would like to point out the fact that he call the EMPEROR a Corporal and tried to dismiss him and Papa Palpatine simply complimented him on his work ethic. i really like what the Emperor did.

Ahh, the Dark Times. So sad that it was over with Dark Horse's loss of the licence. It was a really great series and I would have loved to see how things with Gregg continued. I quite liked this character.

I would’ve loved to see a burned clone trooper talk to Vader Not for a big moment but to see how he’d react to someone who knows his physical pain

Well, Gregg also didn't avert his eyes, apologize, or equivocate. He simply had a beat of realization, and continued relaying information. I'm certain that if Gregg had tried to look away or indicate some kind of distaste or disgust, that Vader would have killed him, at least after having heard out the lieutenant.

If Yoda was somehow located on Dagobah, do you think Vader would have been dispatched to try and eliminate him, or would that be a mission for the Emperor himself?

One of the few officers that really didn't deserve to die for his failure was Captain Needa, mainly because 1. very few officers would have apologized in person as Needa did 2. Not even Vader would have expected the Millenium Falcon to been attached to the aft-end of the bridge tower, which was a very clever way of exploiting a weakness in the ISD's sensor grid. In that case, Vader should have let him live as Needa would have learned from his failure and the Falcon would have more than likely been met with Space Troopers had they tried that again with Needa's ship.

I love seeing these little glimpses into rare relationships between villains and their minions, lol. This guy was just doing his job, and really, REALLY wanted to impress his boss.

Evil overlord list tip number 32: "I will not fly into a rage and kill a messenger who brings me bad news just to illustrate how evil I really am. Good messengers are hard to come by." Most of the people Vader force chocked where guys that sassed him or withheld info from him to save there own hide.

If he saw him without his mask, and was one of the most knowledgeable about the Jedi shortly after Order 66, he probably had a strong hunch that Vader was Anakin. Disappeared and appeared the same day, looks like a crispy version of the famous Jedi hero, fights with the skills and weapons of a Jedi...

We have Piett, Needa, Krennic, Windrider, and then Gregg......He feels like one of those characters they just ran out of cool names for.

Lieutenant Greg was lucky here, but the little known Captain Jim was clearly Vader's boy, receiving Twilek slave girls and tons of credits simply for keeping Vader's TIE fighter spotless, fully fueled, and ready for deployment at a moment's notice.

Hopefully Lt greg will live long enough to become 'Old Greg'! ... ... Well, I mean Vader without the Helmet is more terrifying than the armored persona.

Legends Vader was cold but respected the 501st and officers that did well. I thought that was cool that even though he’s a sith, part of anakin still shines through. I hate the new Vader from marvel comics that’s just a ruthless killing machine

Legends Vader>Canon Vader.He supposely had some good in him but the new comics have him kill innocents and cause unnecessary damage to the point where freaking Darth Sidious scolded him about it!Darth Sidious is supposed to be far more evil than Vader,he is just unlikeable in canon.

Officer: "I'm blind." Vader: "Oh.." *Waves hands in front of his face and give him the finger* Officer: "Shall I come back later my Lord?" Vader: "Um. No that will be all."

An officer saw him with his mask off in Empire Strikes Back and survived as well. I'm betting while it wasn't a common occurrence, it wasn't exactly unheard of either.

I remember in TESB when an Imperial underling went to Vader’s meditation chamber to report to him and give him some information concerning the Millennium Falcon, this underling saw Vader unmasked from behind, however Vader didn’t kill him mainly because he was obsessed with finding the Falcon and finding Luke as well and that was all he was concerned with at that moment.

It's very strange that Sideous DIDN'T want Vader to hunt down surviving Jedi. I thought that was his ultimate goal, the complete elimination of the Jedi. And in canon it's said Palpatine thought the younglings at the temple were insignificant. It was vader's own initiative to slaughter them

I like how Gregg is even a little bit heavy. He was dedicated, yet even though heavier offices would be seen as more lazy or more afulent, he still did his job better then most.

Isn't there a passage in a novel that talks about how Vader probed Thrawn's feelings and intentions when Thrawn obviously tried to probe him in respect to his past as Anakin Skywalker? And didn't Vader only let Thrawn go unpunished, because he sensed a neutral attitude in Thrawn? No arrogance aimed at Vader, no fear, but rather a very professional attitude combined with actual skills? Kind of makes you wonder whether that is the trick to survive working with Vader. Be professional, be polite and respectful and proof to Vader that you are actually useful! Kind of makes you wonder whether that sealed Lorth Needa's faith. I mean, shouldn't you know your ship's strengths and also weaknesses? Shouldn't he have known that there was an area close to his ship that his ship's sensors could not control? I wonder how Vader would have reacted, if Needa had - politely - told Vader that he suspects that the Falcon is hiding in exactly that spot and that he is about to send out fighters and troop transports to make a visual inspection. But no, he had no clue which Vader likely sensed.

Vader showed respect to officers who deserve it. Like the officer that wasted no time joining Vader on the front lines of battle multiple times, Vader was surprised that an officer, who were known for being cowardly and deceptive, would show such bravery. He saved Vader from flamethrowers and that caused Vader to fly into a terrifying rage when the officer nearly died from the deed.

I wrote a fanfiction similar to this, but it was a she and her name was ensgine Maria Wintergreen, she became Vaders favorite imperial and he became very protective of her...... she became the daughter he though he had lost.... in this she after earning his respect she was with him for every mission, also she was force sensitive so he trained her..... she was his moral compass, and she was a lot like ahsoka in many ways, the only great fifteen was she was extremely shy..... it because of her that he was able to reconnect with his son much sooner ( he turned the against the empire some were between new hope and empire Strikes back) and in the end he was light side again much sooner because of him..... You know, in fact, I don't think Vader really cares about this. Judging by the Original Trilogy, we can say that he doesn't try to hide his past or his face (both are related. Of course we are talking about his face, but hidding his face also relate to hiding his past). In ep. IV, he talks about his "former master" with Tarkin, but there were some guards in the room at this moment. Tarkin is a friend of him, but the guards not. He doens't try to hide that he was a former Jedi, he doesn't try to hide that Kenobi was his master. For him, the man who he was before is dead. Concerning his face, the best (and only) example is of course in ep. V. Piett is also able to see him, not directly in front of him, but he sees a lot of his head. And Vader doens't seem to be upset of it. In ep. VI, he calls Luke several time "my son" with a lot of witness. Since Rogue One, we can also asume that many people knows him under the armor. So, what I try to explain is that Vader has no complex with showing his face or elements from his past. Of couse, is face is not and "privacy" is not allowed to eveyone, but he is not embarassed by this. (sorry for this hard explication, I'm french !).

Would be good if Lucas made a film purely about Lord Vader tracking down the Jedi whom survived order 66. The film could touch on his Lordships struggle adjusting to his new legs etc
