Today we'll dive deep into the downfall of the StoryFire app and it's owners. Made in collaboration with: Slackr: bit.ly/3JhIzp7 MegaMitch: / @megamitchzero Jack: / @classactjack Andy Ford: / @beefalump
Your content is really heading into that Hbomberguy, TRO, Contrapoints etc space where I know going in the I’m getting something extremely high quality. I’ve been a fan for years, but you’ve really hit your stride. Keep it up, I’m rooting for you!
The revival of airsoft was 100X better than full force. It seemed like airsoft really needed that redemption. An actual documentary with genuine people.
I'm afraid you need to make another video on this. Boogie was caught lying about his cancer. This reframes this entire video. Boogie is not trustworthy.
real good excuse to wash your hands clean of the situation and not have to compensate all the people you lied to multiple times on every level as to how things were going publicly and behind the scenes
Bros got scammed on that DMT price at vidcon .....but the dealers knew their customers, a bunch of terminally online people that make content online desperate for life experience and to escape the monotony of their lives
In terms of the narrative video being filmed at the party, yes. Not an IRL Project X level party. But it does seem that he could've communicated it more clearly to some people involved.
@@Winthertainment The stupidest idea, it's not like Project X was filmed at a real party. He either needed it to only be acted and a set with planned skits or an actual party, it can't be both
Always down to laugh at Storyfire and all these gigantic manchildren. But tbh, I simply can't believe any of the stories being told in this video. You really can't trust these guys with ANYTHING.
Kbac is the worst. Not enough exposé videos about him out there. A really, really bad person that no one talks about. I guess it’s good to not give him attention at least.
So Jessie hyped up this Halloween party as if it was going to be a Project X styled party but then his family is there and he’s surprised that it went to shit? 🥴 Hearing that wouldn’t make me trust him with anything
Long story short, a bunch of horrible people start a doomed to fail business, make horrible decisions, blame each other for said bad decisions and for being worse people, and lose basically everything. That was a ride. That's quite a bit of internet history I wasn't aware of.
Holy crap it's professor CZ! Brother all of your horror history videos are absolutely amazing. As funny as it is to say it's thanks to your videos I'm able to actually get restful sleep, basically fall asleep to your vids every night.
And hygiene skills as well. I stopped watching kidbehindacamera channels years ago, even before angry grandpa died. Bro does not know how to brush his teeth. It’s so bad you can see the tartar caked up on his teeth so bad you could scrape it off with a spoon.
My biggest takeaway is that I'm shocked McJuggernuggets, whose entire personality is lying to and misleading people even in his inner circle, was even remotely surprised people don't trust him because even in his version of how everything happened he is admitting he lied to everyone about what was happening multiple times as it was happening lol
The current state of story fire is a total scam. Its a total pump and dump scam, and skydoesminecraft is involved. Their telegram was pathetic. I really hope you touch on the really sketchy current state too.
I could agree there are issues, if you mentioned the actual issues instead of making stuff up using terms that feel cool to say but aren’t at all true. In fact one of my biggest issues with StoryFire right now is that it’s virtually impossible to buy and sell Blaze… That’s right, one of my biggest problems with StoryFire is also a problem that renders the platform incapable of running a pump-and-dump scheme.
I'd tried to withdraw blaze but never showed in the account as the steps said to do. They'd even kicked me out of the discord server after 1 negative comment and they'd said on Twitter to apologize and they'll let me back in. Witch still never happen...
He is shady and doesn't have a real bone in his body wouldn't put it past him that his interview was just another shitty story ploy. (On his side GFM is fine)
Yeah. That was such a strange interlude. People actually flew on airplanes in order to come to the lamest party I've ever seen. The dudes Dad was fighting with heavy set weirdos and kicking out what appeared to be the only women there.
The whole family seems strange. If I were throwing a party with my friends and peers, my parents wouldn’t want to be within 1000 feet of it, never mind joining in.
As an outsider watching this....Jesse is a whole ass problem. I mean, everyone is a whole ass problem, but what I don't hear is him holding himself accountable for the CLEAR mismanagement. Like, this man really said he was thr CEO but doesn't know what's actually going on with the platform? He throws a party then gets mad when people party? The 3mil company was sold for 15k and that's a happy ending? I call BS. He's a snake lol
Jesse proved with Storyfire he is a terrible businessman. How the hell do you throw away 3 mil on web developers and not stay on top of what they are or aren't doing. On the stream "after show," I think it was the new Storyfire CEO who said the money wasted in developers was ridiculous and unnecessary. He said the developers ripped Jesse off big time. Jesse, no doubt, mismanaged that platform. I'd see him giving financial advice on his channel and I would roll my eyes. This dude is the last person on the planet to give finacial advice. Face it, RU-vidrs are not the sharpest tools in the box. They all are about making fast easy money with the least amount of effort. Get rich quicker scammers. Jesse was lazy and didnt stay on top of things. So he should've "owned it" instead of blaming everyone else for his carelessness.
Jesse was never the CEO, Brian was. And Brian was the snakeoil salesman that kept on siphoning money off of Jesse. But Jesse was indeed really dumb for not demanding the company be audited before he gave more money. My guess is that from those 3+ million, Brian kept at least half of the money for himself.
“Yeah dude the party is gonna be crazy!!! Project X type party for real!” *something non-PG happens at said Project X party* “Omg I can’t believe this. You not only ruined my party but also my entire totally not a scam company!”
Dude did you hear what he's doing to Boogie? He's talking him into selling him his house. So Keemstar would basically one Boogies house "in order to keep his financ under control." It's just a blatantly obvious ploy to be able to blackmail Boogie with the threat of being homeless. And the sick part is that Boogie probably already understands this, but he's addicted to be the victim.
@@alexanderchippelboogie should sell his house. What are you on about? He can’t afford it, he cries he can’t afford it nonstop, he should downsize like any other normal person would.
@@alexanderchippel Boogie is literally never going to make any good financial decisions on his own. Keem hasn't really even done content in years and seems to be doing fine. Keem is a stupid asshole, but Boogie will never do himself any favors on his own.
Mcjuggernuggets told him it was going to be a Rage. Though, now if he said, hey I'm throwing a party then I could see Grim being in the wrong but if you tell me your throwing a Rager! And then I get there and it looks like my twelve year old nephews birthday party, you've just wasted my time then at that point.
@@shadowpeople2645 there is a 100% chance that they were already blitzed when they arrived. And were expecting project X not a magic the gathering get together.
Bro you cant tell people you are gonna have a rager and not expect them to act like that. If he just wanted a few friends over and to play scrabble or something than he shoulda said that.
I mean tbh it’s not hugely surprising, a lot of females don’t get a diagnosis until 20s/30s, I was personally 28 when I got diagnosed, so a male in his 40s isn’t hugely shocking to me knowing many don’t get properly diagnosed when younger and put it off as adults out of fear, worry, maybe stigma.
He lied about the diagnosis. He mentioned on Twitter the clinic who did his diagnosis and someone emailed them asking if they do testing. They said they didn't do testing and couldn't even recommend a place close by to get tested
@Arkham33 I’m not the biggest Michael fan but isn’t he like a solid millionaire with enough to retire and isn’t Charlie still dealing with the “acid incident”?
When I see the trauma dumping, whining, degeneracy of Boogie, I lose any possible remaking respect for him. He’s the guy that drowns his rescuer, blaming them with his last breath.
To be fair jesse screwed him over with some crypto deal where he said he'd reimburse boogie for any losses if he got in, its just boogie is stupid enough to actually believe him. Of all the people to drag down with him, jesse is one I feel zero sympathy for
Haha! That is exactly what Boogie reminds me of: the episode of South Park where Cartman eats 500 pounds of fake treasure and can't swim so Kyle is trying to rescue him from drowning. The whole time, Kyle is saying "You have to kick" but Cartman just keeps saying "No, screw you! You HAVE to save me!!!"
That’s basically what Jessie admitted to years ago, he made a video where he says that he had (and still has) a huge ego after the psycho series ended and he had plans for a bunch of new series on RU-vid but then when he was given storyfire as an idea he felt it was gonna be as easy as his videos had been, zero experience and he signed away all his power early on
I mean tbf Jesse’s biggest problem was combining his stories with his real life business, out of all of them he’s the one who got robbed the most and the most normal one
Thinking video creators can create a video-sharing platform to compete with RU-vid is like thinking the guy who flies twice a week for work can design a passenger jet to compete with Airbus
storyfire on fire is more like it. In grimss defense, the whole reason why people disliked this era is because of how they all blended reality and drama for views into EVERYTHING they did, look at how messed up boogie was afterward, it became hard for even his fans to tell if he was being serious, or if he was just doing something for story fire. So of course they invite a youtuber who isn't part of their inner circle, who does backyard wrestling and is in character, he doesn't know that the party isn't in character because as usual their doing it as a mix of both. You can't light a dumpster fire for clicks then get mad when you invite another pyro into your sphere. They blurred their own reality way to much that the house party, that was on them. They were just like 2 steps away from Jaystation and everyother "prank" "ghosthunter" youtuber. They lit the match and started their fire, pun intended. Jesse recording boogies freak out is a great example of what I'm talking about, Jugg Head did it for drama and a skit for himself for views while Boogie was real life having a meltdown and he used it for Fing views. Jugg Head is a dumpster fire and I'm glad he fell off. Honestly, good on Brian for taking him for a ride.
LOL Boogie was not diagnosed with autism, you can actually find proof of that by searching up a Reddit thread titled "Boogie lied about being autistic". You can tell from the clip at 21:17 that this was filmed a good year ago, so this lines up with the timing of the Reddit thread. The TLDR is that Boogie claimed to be diagnosed with autism, people questioned it, Boogie name-dropped a specific clinic, someone got in touch with that clinic to see if they do adult autism testing and they replied saying they didn't do autism testing whatsoever and couldn't even recommend a place close by to do it. Either way, it makes no sense as to why Boogie would be spending money to get a diagnosis when he's apparently in financial ruin.
I doubt anyone thinks he’s autistic. Not by searching for any proof, but because the guy is a compulsive liar and claims to have every mental illness on the planet so he could have sympathy. He went as far as to say he masturbated with his dad when he was a child on a livestream because Frank Hassle was bullying him
Boogie has also admitted multiple times all the money he lost in crypto was his previous gains, he pulled out right at the same amount of cash he initially increased.
Big actually real issue number two…. Because it’s not a multibillion-dollar platform, it doesn’t get marketed as well as, well, all the multibillion-dollar platforms. Nothing can be done to fix this problem other than if the platform can manage to stay alive long enough to slowly grow bigger and better over many years - in a world where things are expected to reach max potential within a year of launching.
I seriously can’t believe nobody is commenting about the 200$ hits of DMT. Y’all realize that shit is like 40$ a gram right ? That’s like 2$ a hit. Someone fuckin hustled you so hard.
I only know and watched StoryFire for RackaRacka’s uncensored version of Ronald McDonald Nikocado Avocado mukbang video sometime around late 2020 or early 2022, maybe StoryFire can merge with Butch Hartman’s Oaxis Entertainment.
RU-vid is kept afloat because it's own by Google. Maintaining a video server even with cold storage is a monumental money sink. A cheap knockoff piggybacking on another hosting created by questionable motley crew of a RU-vidrs is sure as hell gonna' pivot straight into the sewage pipeline.
"Oh maybe this story has a happy ending and the company will actually make true on their promise of being a video platform and get out of this crypto bullshit" "New COO, Skydoesminecraft" "Oh this company is fucking dead in the water"
Lemme fix this: "I'm not a child", said the 40-year old man-child dressed as Wario who thought it was a great idea to bring two prostitutes to a party and attempt to pass them off as his "girlfriend and girlfriend's girlfriend"
Whew. Boogie's words about Keem as of today probably never hit as hard. #CancerGate2024 Here lies Boogie2988 who was "ended" (for now) by his ally/boss/"friend," Dan/Keemstar. Cause of Boogie's possible homic1d3/su1c1d3 online? He ticked Keem off for claiming he wasn't paid last month. Keem then invited all of Boogie's foes onto a live panel with 37k viewers (for a few minutes) on their LOLCow Podcast in order for Boogie's adversaries to annihilate and question him about a canc3r diagnosis Boogie professed to have received 2 years prior. The good news? It wasn't the canc3r that took Boogie2988 out. It was his "youtube friend."
I’m honestly curious about the reasoning why Keem acts like he does. Is it a character, is that just who he is? Is it nature, is it nurture? Has anyone who majored in Psychology dissected his mind yet?
He’s literally just a narcissist bigot. And because of that he NEEDS attention and spotlight because he thinks he’s really important and deserves it or else he will feel useless. Just your classic narcissist
I loved this, it's always been hard to tell what's real or not with Jesse. Like others I assumed most of the goings on around storyfire were just that, a story. Crazy to see what was happening behind the scenes. Respect
@@Astrid-td1to what does this mean? He’s actually working on a movie and even said that he stopped his story videos cause it just got in the way of what he wanted to do, he actually posts genuine videos on his second channel and has talked about the Brian situation
This was a heartwarming video watching all those fake assholes lose money and fight with each other. Thank you gamer from Mars this why I stay subscribed.
As a guy who bought into the Storyfire hype, Storyfire sucked. It was clearly an app that was made by people who make RU-vid content, but don't watch RU-vid content. The UI was a broken mess, they didn't have dislikes during a time when RU-vid still *did*, and only a couple of creators like Keemstar actually bothered to upload exclusive content to the site. But countless commentary channels still told their audiences it could be "the new RU-vid" because they saw the opportunity for monetization. Honestly it was a flat out betrayal.
After actually sitting down and watching all of this, I feel like my take on the platform is only further solidified. The whole announcement that McJuggernuggets made when he was calling out to his audience and saying that the problem with RU-vid was that it felt "too corporatized" when there was *never* a point in Storyfire's creation where profit motive wasn't the sole factor. His actions contradict that language repeatedly, especially with the repeated inching towards crypto and other scummy methods of making money. If the goal was to remove all of the toxic "officespace" esque drama and create a platform where creators could create things freely, then the site was a complete and utter failure from its most basic conception. Here's the fact of the matter: there are many RU-vid alternatives that exist right now where you can upload anything your heart desires. But none of them are nearly as monetizable. And as long a monetization is the primary motivator of these RU-vidrs, we will never ever see a migration of RU-vid audiences to an actually better platform. All this story really shows is that these commentary RU-vidrs said a whole lot of stuff without knowing any details, and pushed their audiences in a direction that could make them money. Just like with TikTok. TikTok is an AWFUL platform, arguably worse than RU-vid, but you'll still see creators promote it, because they make a whole lot of revenue off the site. The age of "RU-vidrs fighting the good fight" is over.
Everytime I see or hear Keem say "Leeeeeeeeeeeeeetssssssssss get riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight into theeeeeeeeeeee neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwsssssss" I just wanna stop existing on earth...
That's the problem with those "sketches." You can't ever tell when they're acting. There's no dividing line between character and real person. Jessie's dad genuinely seems like a shitty person.
Glad to see this all documented and to hear the truth and thoughts from everyone involved. I was a moderator for the platform during the time (still am technically), and worked closely mostly with Brian. Things were the same behind the scenes for those of us working with the owners of the company - not knowing the truth of what was going on behind the scenes. The whole thing was a mess.
