I really liked the tri-bags that SlingMods(?) sell ( www.slingmods.com/canam-ryker-touring-saddlebags-rear-trunk-top-case-luggage-system ), but OMG, I did not want to sell my left nut on Craigslist to afford them, $800 before shipping. So, I bought the three bags (pretty much the same as SlingMods use) on Amazon here www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JLHXNNR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and here www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DCVZ3DM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . The side bags come with a puzzle bag of brackets to use. I bought some 1/8"x 1-1/2" strap steel and made my own brackets. Love them.

@@RykerRydes Your difficulties are the result of not turning the cap far enough. Radiator/coolant tank caps are designed to turn a short distance and become loose, so as to allow any pressure to blow by/ downwards and not up into your face, like an explosion. If you look closely at the video, at just before the 6:00 mark, you'll notice that the cap turned just a bit more allowing it to be removed. Hope this helps.

The lid to the coolant? Line up the tabs, push and turn with the palm ✋ of your hand.

Yes! Totally normal. With time you will get used to easing up on the throttle when starting out, and that will alleviate that noise.

@@RykerRydes thank you! I’ve also pulled out the gearbox oil level plug and no oil came out. Does this mean it probably wasn’t filled properly?

No!! There is a very specific (odd) way to check the oil. Bill Ramseyer has a RU-vid video on it. It’s weird. Lol

@@RykerRydes there’s a specific way to check the gearbox oil? I’ll try to find the video, as far as I was aware it was put it on level ground and pull the oil level bolt, if nothing comes out it isn’t filled properly.

I read your comment to Beth. Rikers have a little hole in the overflow tank under the cap if you take the cap off You could see the little hole in the plastic. I think at 16 pounds The spring in the cap Compresses and the antifreeze leak out that’s why they lose a little all the time when it’s very hot. Tank is transparent so you really don’t have to open it up to see when it’s low. They should have an overflow for the overflow😂🥴👍🏻

Thanks for watching. I do quite a bit of research before doing a video. BUT it is always best to "trust but verify".

It’s very ‘noble’ of people to preach about OAT coolants but older systems with particular metal components may not be compatible with newer coolants so never just change because you think you’re ‘doing good’. As Beth mentions, check with the engine manufacturer or risk an expensive repair.

LOL, John spray painted his! Do you want the name of the color and brand he used?

Spray painted mine a full on red with Krylon Plastic paint I got off Amazon. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002YUDZ6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I swear if CanAm sold Rykers on Amazon, that is where I probably would have bought mine because of the return policy.

Also keep a couple cans of it on hand if I want to touch up or paint other items. Color matching you know,

Yes. As explained in the video, that was what I had and the coolant I used is specifically made to mix with other colors. I did this video a while ago and the coolant still looks good and bike works great. The coolant has to meet certain requirements, which mine did. If I run into any problems, I will definitely post a correction video. Thanks for watching.
